My abilities and skills afford me to do most work on my own. My contacts in the industry are widespread also. Whatever task/project you need done will take one call to me to get it started. You will not find reliability or sound craftsmanship like this. I only sub-contract if needed and the customer is always informed. Each contract is negotiated differently and I always find a way to work with the customer to come to agreeable terms.

Our entire team has decades of experience in roofing and exterior construction. This level of professionalism provides us the opportunity to deliver very reliable customer service, and clear, accountable time frames.

"This is quite possible the rudest and most unprofessional company we have ever done business with. They were nice and conscientious when they wanted the job, however, once the contact was signed, forget it – their true nature came shining through. We contacted them to do out house and our clinic after being hit with the golf ball size hail in 2019. It was months before they began the first job and then the clinic roof was delayed by COVID. Hiring this company in the first place was a HUGE MISTAKE. Where to begin….Let's start with our home. They destroyed the gutter systems on home. They left garbage, roofing nails, and strips of metal sheeting everywhere. My car was the first to get a flat tire from a roofing nail. We found pieces of metal in our yard – one piece shot out when we hit it with the lawn mower. Needless to say, mowing the lawn became a one-person job with no one allowed in the vicinity because of possible shrapnel. We call, we complained, we were told “Oh, I’m sorry. I’ll be out in the next few days to pick fix the gutters and sweep the area for metal. Well, that day never came. It was months before they came back to pick up the metal they left at our home. Carlo actually claimed he came out with a metal detector to find nails on a certain day. The problem was, I was there when he claimed he was…but he was not and never was. He never came and our gutters were never reattached, and some downspout pieces were never found. They never returned to fix the gutters that they pulled away from the house. Water bottles and trash was left all over the property around the house. We found shingle pieces and roofing nails in the koi pond in front of the house. There was a sheet of metal just left in our driveway. They destroyed two $400.00 solar-power roof vents on our home and after being jerked around, we were told "get a contractor to take care of it and send us the bill after you paid them." Ummm..I believe you are a contractor and should come out and fix what you broke. When Carlo came by the clinic to pick up the check for the house, I confronted him with the damage done and told him we were not happy with the job. I told him we wanted out of the contract for the clinic. He then began ranting that if we didn’t set up a day for them to do the clinic, they would file with the insurance company, take 20% from the check for inconvenience, and send us the rest. I told him that was unethical. He said it was in the fine print of the contract. He was so loud and so disruptive at the front desk, that I had to tell him to leave the clinic immediately. We had no choice but to let them do our clinic. I wish I could say it got better, but it did not. They removed the sky lights to install part of the roof on our business and then left the side edges of shingles and tar paper hanging inside the skylight seams, cracked the corners, etc. The owner first claimed they were the fire and ice barrier and then said, "how do I know it wasn't there before. We don't remove skylights." Well they did remove them. These are skylights over treatment rooms. I and my patients look up at them all day long. I think we would have known if tar paper and shingles were hanging down inside them. I think we would have seen this when we first purchased this property and at some point in these past few years would have asked why there were black flaps hanging down from the skylight seams IF THEY HAD BEEN THERE ALL ALONG WHICH THEY WERE NOT. Their own rep who came out in the very beginning looked over the entire clinic and could verify they were not there. When we returned to the office after they were finished, not only HAD they removed the skylights and replaced them incorrectly, but there were leaves, shingle pieces, dirt, and drywall chips all over the treatment tables directly under the sky lights. They owner of the roofing company asked if we had any proof that this was not there before. EXCUSE ME?? There were two gutter systems that were left not attached to the house after the job was done. They were flapping in the wind when we returned. When we told the owner about this the first time a few days ago, he complained about how he didn’t’ want to do this job in the first place after such a delay because of how much money he was now losing from the deal. Rather than fix the problems his workers created, all he wanted to talk about was how much money he was losing on the deal because of the increase in costs since the original estimate. It was a pandemic. We have all been affected. We also were out of work for three months with our own children to feed as well. We were not worried about profits. I’ve never said to a patient, “I’m sorry, it would be profitable for me to use three more acupuncture needles on you because I’m not getting paid enough. He said that our contract did not include fixing the gutter systems or replacing them. I informed him that I knew that. However, they were responsible for fixing something if they damaged it. It would have been the ethical thing to tell us that there was a problem reattaching the gutters and not just leaving them hanging off the building. An ethical business would have never left it unattached and then say it is the homeowner's responsibility. After all, they called us to tell us that they had to add several pieces of plywood to the bill during the job. Plywood was not in the contract. When confronted with pictures of the gutter damage, hanging shingle material inside the sky lights seams, destroyed landscaping, the owner told he us he never wanted to do the job in the first place. His words were, "see, I knew I should have just taken the 20% for the estimate and given the rest of the money back." Excuse me?? We said we never wanted him to do it either. We told him that we tried to get out of having them do our business after the awful job they did on our house and hire someone else, but we were told, "well, you can cancel but we are taking 20% of the insurance check for doing the estimate." So long story short, they didn't want to do the job and you could easily tell by the way they left the property. Update: After being yelled at on the phone by the owner of Blue Square and told that we needed to provide proof that we did not do the damage we called about, we told him we were reporting them to our insurance company. Two hours later someone magically appeared to fix the gutters they had broken – but only at the clinic. We still lodged our complaint. I know this is a long complaint but buyer beware. I wish someone had left an honest review for us to read because it would have saved us a lot of money and aggravation. There is nothing positive that can be said about this company. Dishonest and no work ethic. I would not hire them to put a roof on a doghouse."

Glass block window services FAQs

If you have a problem with your window, such as broken glass, minor leaks, or a problem with your window being stuck, repairing the broken part might be a cheaper option than replacing the entire window. However, if you have a deteriorating window frame or major leaks, buying a new window will be the better long-term solution.

Installing glass block windows has benefits and disadvantages, as with most materials. The pros and cons can vary depending on the type of glass block and the window location.

Pros

  • Maintains privacy while letting light into the bathroom

  • Energy efficient

  • Sealed to prevent drafts

  • Aesthetically pleasing

  • Strong and secure

Cons

  • Costly to install

  • Challenging installation

  • Challenging repair

Window replacement costs between $180 and $410 per window, or an average of $280 per window. However, your specific replacement job could cost as little as $100 or as much as $750. Factors such as frame material, the number of windows you need, and the type of glass you order all impact the overall cost. For example, simple double-glazed windows will cost $3 to $6 per square foot, but the stronger tempered glass ranges from $12 to $14 per square foot.

Glass block installation can be relatively expensive due to the range of material costs and the labor time to assemble this type of specialty window. The process proceeds slowly as the glass does not absorb moisture from mortar and silicone caulk takes longer to harden, leaving spacers to hold up the structure until the caulk or mortar begins to cure. Plus, if your current windows have structural issues or damage, you’ll need to repair them before beginning the project, increasing your bottom line.

The average cost to install glass block windows is about $710, ranging from $460 to $1,000, depending on the size and design of the window, installation type, and location. Different styles of glass blocks also impact the cost:

  • Clear glass blocks: $10–$30 per block

  • Colored glass blocks: $25–$40 per block

  • Acrylic glass blocks: $15–$25 per block

  • Wavy glass blocks: $10–$30 per block

  • Alpha glass blocks: $15–$25 per block

  • Ice glass blocks: $20–$35 per block

  • Diamond glass blocks: $20–$75 per block

  • Frosted glass blocks: $30–$35 per block
