These include ranch, cape cod, and 2-story homes that are identical in style and built to the same building code with the modular home constructed in a climate controlled friendly environment and transported 85% complete to the job site in modules. The modular home has many more benefits including up to a 50% reduction in heating & cooling costs plus installed on a full basement foundation. Conversely, a mobile/trailer home is built to a much less stringent building code and set on blocks.
