Diagnosed the problems with my dishwasher and while he was there looked at problem i was having with my clothes washer and fixed both perfectly! I've hired again and had him set up my above ground pool and heater/filter system. Can't say enough, 5 star service, thank you."

"We had a refrigerator quit working two days before Christmas, Dylan Hamilton did respond, he went to the home, determined that he could get the parts and fix the refrigerator. He asked me for a check of 350. before he did the work, I thought this odd, he said he would get parts and go the next day, which was Christmas, I told him I needed this done quickly, because the home is a rental, and a refrigerator is necessary. He tried to make an appointment to do the work on Christmas, my tenants had someone visiting, they wanted to be extra careful during covid. so they did not want a repairman in the house on Christmas. For some reason Dylan did not try to do the repair on Saturday or Sunday. On Monday we were expecting him all day, then he told us he got in a car accident. I waited all day on Tuesday not hearing from Dylan, no phone calls. By Wednesday my tenants were very upset, no refrigerator for a week. i have asked Dylan for a refund, he said i should be getting one, but i have not received my refund. I did not receive the services, and i need a refund. I am very unhappy with the company for no service and no refund. It was an extremly stressful time, waiting for him to call and do the work for many days, and getting no phone calls."

PARR Lumber Company was established in 1930 by Dwight Parr Sr., in the Pacific Northwest and remains a locally owned family business today. Headquartered in Hillsboro, Oregon, Parr is ranked as the nation's 16th largest building materials supplier. We are a leading supplier of lumber, building supplies, decking, fencing, panels, cabinets, windows, doors, and countertops. Parr proudly operates 44 Oregon and Washington facilities, including pro/retail building material yards, contractor-focused facilities, and cabinet outlets. Visit your nearest store for quotes, delivery, and phone order.
"Avoid Parr lumber entirely, Parr lumber company has always had the worst service possible, I am a larger company that has been in this industry for 38 years. There is not enough space here for me to explain how bad Parr is. From flat out rude at the counter to yard workers telling our guys to load their own material, answering the phone with a "What the F do you want!! Telling us that we are unreasonable for expecting Parr to give us exactly what we paid for, example we ordered black window and doors on a project, they sent white with many pieces broken, their esponse was we can paint them for you and give you a small credit for the broken windows and when I declined that ridiculous offer they got mad and tried blaming us for their mistake, weeks later we still do not have the very expensive windows and doors that I have paid for and Parr is not trying to be helpful at all in Fact they are going out of their way to be overly rude and refusing to give us information on the reorder of product that we paid for long ago. I buy approx. 400K in windows a year although I do not buy lumber Parr I gave them a shot at our window and door business and it was a huge mistake. Our company and our employees will never ever do business with Parr. Parr acts like a bully and their management backs that up, An area manager name Levi told me personally they could care less about our business, he was upset that I told him about their bad service and that we spend a million plus dollars at the best lumber company in town - Pacific Lumber Co. These facts are not something new this has been Parr's MO for the past 20 years and unfortunately it has gotten worse. Levi the Manager reminded me that Parr is a giant in this area without apology which was more of a threat then a fact. Parr does not exemplify the NW well at all. Stop shopping at Parr Lumber, notable mention for the absolute worst attitude and service is Jim Noblet at the 185th Parr store along with area manager Levi who refused to give his last name which is always a bad sign."

If you’re debating whether it’s worth repairing a damaged appliance, consider a few factors, including the appliance’s age and the cost to replace it. Large, high-value appliances are worth repairing, especially when the fixes are minor and the appliance is only a few years old. However, if the cost of repairs is more than half the price of a new item, then it may be worth replacing it. For example, if your refrigerator repair costs continue increasing and add up to more than 50% of the cost to replace it, you’re better off buying a new one.
Typically, most appliances last anywhere from 10 to 15 years, depending on the appliance, brand, and amount of use. Keeping a regular maintenance schedule, including cleaning and tune-ups, also helps appliances last longer. Dryers, gas stoves, and refrigerators tend to last the longest, averaging about 13 to 15 years. Microwaves and dishwashers tend to last about 10 years on average.
There are a few scenarios when replacing all kitchen appliances simultaneously makes sense, including major renovations, moving into a new home, or purchasing as a set. If you want to refresh your kitchen upon move-in day or start over during a renovation, consider purchasing and replacing your kitchen appliances at once to save on labor costs. Also, if your appliances are all original to the home or are older and require increasing amounts of maintenance and repair, replacing them all at the same time may be a good option.
In most cases, appliance warranties do not transfer to new owners. However, some exceptions apply. To check the status of your appliance warranty and whether you can transfer it when you move, review the terms and conditions of your warranties or consult your home warranty service. When purchasing a new appliance or one from a previous owner, be sure to pay attention to its warranty status, including the type of coverage and any exclusions.
The cost of home appliances ranges from $350 to $8,000 or more, depending on the brand, type of appliance, and features. Additional cost factors include any hookups that need to be installed, such as gas, plumbing, or electrical. Keep in mind that major appliances, such as refrigerators, washers and dryers, and water heaters, will cost more than minor appliances, such as microwaves, due to the size, complexity, and essential nature of the item.
