I did research online and found Duct Armor, a patented process that is sprayed in your ducts to seal them. It sounded like just what we needed for our problem. I called Enviroduct, which was the closest company to us that was licensed to do the work. Vince said the first step was to fix our drainage problem. He gave me a ballpark figure over the phone but said he would come out after we corrected our drainage issues and scope our ducts to determine exactly what we needed. When he came out, he was very personable and knowledgeable. He explained everything he would be doing and why it worked. Since the sand in our ducts was still wet, he couldn't see everything he needed to see so he had us run our fan continuously to dry the sand. He rescheduled and came out again and determined exactly what we needed. We have two HVAC units but he didn't need to have the A/C coil pulled on one of them. He gave us several names of HVAC technicians he worked with who could pull the coil. He coordinated with them and scheduled a time to come and do the work. The day before they were scheduled to come, my husband checked his reviews on Angie's List and saw a couple of negative reviews. He realized I had never gotten any references so he called Vince to get some. We cancelled his visit to do the work until we could check out his references. I talked to two of OKC's top Realtors who have used him multiple times. Being a Realtor before I moved to OKC, I knew a Realtor wouldn't use someone more than once if they didn't do the job right. After getting glowing reports on Enviroduct, we rescheduled Vince to do the job. He and his assistant came out right after the HVAC guys pulled the A/C coil. With the coil out of the way, Vince could see our problem plenum a lot better and was able to verify that it was better than he expected. He removed the sand and debris that he could and sprayed the rubber coating on the plenums and several of the boots. He returned today and sprayed a second coat and checked everything that he had done before. He and his assistant cleaned up after the job and he even did a little more today than he had put in his original estimate to us (at no charge!). We could not be happier with the work he did. He always texted us to tell us he was on his way. He also followed up to see how the sand was drying, etc. before he came to spray the first time. We are so glad that we didn't let a bad review or two stop us from digging a little deeper. We would definitely recommend Vince and Enviroduct to anyone having problems with sand in their ducts. We saved so much money by not having to go overhead with our ducts! Thanks Vince and David for a job well done!

From the begining the process went very well. The system was inspected taking precaution to ensure a clean and thorough inspection. We also needed HVAC work so he called crews in to assist, they (Superior Heat and Air)were also knowledgable and professional. They coordinated timelines. All of my questions were answered. Buyers also called to have additional questons answered, they were happy to assist the buyers. Work went smoothly and they did a great job. This comes with a 15 year warranty for the home buyers. The only thing he did not handle was duct cleaning(sand removal), but I knew someone to call in and once again, he worked the cleaners around his scope of work to ensure thing went smoothly. He was prompt in returning calls and always arrived at scheduled times.
Description of Work: I needed duct work and HVAC completed to close on a home sale.

Do I really need to say more... not dependable, not sure if it is a fluke product or if they did not apply correctly but it did not work. We spent over 5,000 grand on the project. This company should be banned from angies list and put on a scam watch list.
Description of Work: office building had sand and rust in our inground ductwork. Vince at Enviroduct came out and assured me that they could handle the problem and would even warranty the work for 15 years. It was a long, long process because he made it a long long process. We began having issues and all of a sudden it was where is Waldo..or VInce? He never would return calls and when we finally called an office exec. in Tulsa he had Vince call and promise that he would take care of the problem.. He has never done so. This company may be a scam and we are mad enough to see them in small claims court.

This work was completed at the time of the purchase of our home in March of 2013. I suspected that the work was not performed correctly due to the large amounts of sand that has been blowing out of my floor vents for the past year that I lived in my home. I called Enviroduct LLC a couple of months after we had settled into the home around June of last year. I advised them that I did not believe the work was done correctly and that I would like them to come to my house and show me the repairs that they completed. I do not own a camera that can run through the ducts, so I had no way of verifying the work that they did or did not do. I was brushed off at this time and they never came out to show me the work that they did and I was forced to live with sand blowing out of my vents for another year (even though my paperwork shows that it includes a 15 year warranty). Now here we are one year later June 2014. I am having both my upstairs and downstairs heat and air systems replaced. The furnace was removed to expose my plenum and it was obvious that the work completed by Enviroduct LLC was sub par and that would be giving them lots of credit! The plenum was leaking sand in multiple spots. There was some evidence of an attempted repair, but none of the repairs had worked and they were all leaking sand. There were other damages to the plenum that were not even addressed and there were no signs of any attempted repair by Enviroduct LLC which means they missed these damages completely. I had the entire system scoped by two other highly accredited companies (this month). Both said that all of the evident damages to the plenum were there 1 year ago and that the work done by Enviroduct LLC was a waste of money, that the repairs were improper, insufficient and incomplete. These companies scoped the rest of my ducts. Luckily, I have a PVC system, so it is only joints, collars and boots that can fail. We were able to see the other repairs completed by Enviroduct LLC which also did not hold and were still leaking sand. I called Enviroduct LLC and left a voicemail. I did not advise them for the reason of my call. I received a call back from Vincent with Enviroduct. We were finally able to talk on the phone when I advised him of the repairs that they completed (last year) were not holding and that I had sand still coming out of my vents. I advised that I have had two companies scope my ducts, both said the repairs completed by Enviroduct were not good repairs, both companies showed me that they were still leaking sand and that I had a DVD recording of my duct system (provided by one of the companies) that he was welcome to come over and watch. He said that he would get back with me and scope my system with me for free. He offered this because I have spent $400 having other companies look at their handiwork! I did not receive any further communication from Vincent with Enviroduct after that phone call (even though he promised to call or text to set a time to do scope). I called one more time after this and left a voicemail. I waited for three more days with no response. I then had one of the other companies complete the necessary repairs. The new company was able to repair my plenum and the other damages to my duct work. They showed me the coated plenum once they had repaired it and WOW! it actually looks like a quality repair that won't leak sand ever again! I would highly suggest not hiring this company. Their repairs or lack there of do not work and you will be left in the same boat as you were prior to their repair with less money in your pocket! They do not honor their warranty! Finally, they will avoid your phone calls once they know that you are calling with an issue! Do yourself a favor and hire someone else!!!
Description of Work: Enviroduct LLC was hired to seal the in slab plenum, repair a joint and a collar that had failed and were leaking sand into the in slab duct system.

The ductwork in my two-story home is in sand under the slab. While the ductwork is indestructible, the galvanized steel connectors are not. After 45 years, they have become rusty and have a few spots that allow sand to enter my system. A common solution is to discontinue the use of the the floor ducts and install ductwork in the ceiling. This is relatively simple in a one-story home, but can be problematic in a two story. Years ago, I watched a commercial plumbing company eliminate leaks in a city's underground pipe leaks by sending in a video camera and installing liners without digging. I searched for a similar solution for my home, found Enviroduct, and am satsified with the result. Tip: Communicate with Vince via texting. He doesn't take calls while he's working and it is difficult for him to answer all his messages after hours.

Sticker shock best describes feeling. We chose to move the ductwork overhead.
Description of Work: The ductwork in our slab foundation is deteriorating and the cost of moving the A/C overhead is $4,000 to $5,000. The estimate to seal our ducts was $4,500. And could not be guaranteed due to the poor condition of our ducts.

This is a follow-up report to the one I submitted last Dec.(09) The first winter after application we noticed that our furnace would only provide heat for several minutes and then recycle - didn't really notice/evaluate as cold weather was ending. This winter when we had our seasonal check the heat and air guy noticed the same problem and did extensive trouble-shooting on the furnace with no remedy. Their thought was a blocked duct(s). I have repeatedly contacted Enviroduct to do a duct check to eliminate any blocking issues and he will not respond. With very cold weather upon us I am concerned about no remedy. He was supposed to do a final inspection and never did.
Description of Work: Inspection of in-floor ducts and treatment for corrosion by introducing a sealant throughout the system. Two applications with a final inspection (which never happened).

It went very well. Vince seemed to be very honest in his dealings and provided follow ups to ensure success. The system carries a 15 year guarantee.
Description of Work: My in-slab heat and air ducts were severely rusting any place in the system where transitions were composed of sheet metal. Some were rusted through allowing sand to invade the ducts. Vince first inspected the duct work with a camera mounted on a long cable that he feeds through the ducts. I was able to watch the screen as he did so and he would explain what I was seeing. He them gave an estimate which we accepted and treated the ducts with a quick drying semi-liquid that seals the entire system, fills the holes and provides an anti-mold system. He did the job in two trips (applications) and then came back a third time to ensure everything was coated and holes filled.
