"Everything was substandard. I would not recommend them to anyone. Communication, workmanship, not showing up to work, crew size, cleanliness, meeting commitments. A job estimated for 2 to 3 weeks took over 3 months. It is still not done to our satisfaction, but we "gave up", and told them to leave."

My primary business is consulting on buildings that have construction defects that allow moisture intrusion, rot, mold, etc. I also work with builders on new buildings to assist in the sequencing and selection of products to prevent moisture intrusion, promote long-term building performance, ie., concrete curing, roof flashing, window and door installation, moisture barriers, basement waterproofing, etc.

For four generations, Shane Fisk Roofing has been devoted to providing high-quality services throughout Northeastern Ohio. Our goal is to provide the level of unmatched services that our clients need, expect and deserve when they have a commercial & residential roofing need. During the free estimate that we offer to our potential customers, we provide honest opinions. Our Stark County roofing company is committed to providing all of our clients with our experienced assessments to help them achieve their desired goals.
"Shane Fisk's estimator no-showed then when I continued to call showed-up for a new minutes then said he had another estimate and would stop back .. but didn't. Eventually he gave a price over the phone and sent a crew. The crew replaced (1) 3' shingle and said they thought our ridge vents were cheap and could be the problem. We took the up-sell and they added $1500 to the bill and disappeared for (3) hours then came-back and slapped-on new ridge vents. Work crew must have on heck of a good nail fight because there were handfuls of nails in piles on the roof, nails scattered across the roof, nails in the gutters, nails in the flower beds and nails in the driveway. The roof still leaks in the living room in the same spot. Recently, I have been told the ridge vents were not installed properly. No surprise considering how long they were gone yet managed to leave by 4p. Presumably so they wouldn't be late to get home to their beer & video games. Callback was prompt (next day) but they only said they "might" be out by end-of-week and never showed-up or called (again). This part might be petty, but they end every call with "have a blessed day" but after being treated so badly instead it comes-off like one the line in "SIster Act" when Deloris/Whoopi tells the mob boss "bless you." But I still gotta suck it up and be friendly to try and get my roof fixed. This is the kind of tension that crushes the souls of lower middle worker bees like me these days. Should be used to it. Not sure if anyone else has found a leaking roof to be a nightmare. Insurance company expects us to get it fixed under warranty, but that guy is no longer in business. The next guy trashes the first guy and tells us they can replace the whole roof."

Stan does all of his roofing and does not sub contract his work to other companies. Stan has 43 years of experience in this industry and he trains his own men that work for him. Stan quotes each project allowing the time needed to do the roof to the best of their ability, with quality workmanship according to the manufacturer’s specifications to uphold their warranties. Out of over 90 roofers in Lorain County, Stan Yourkvitch was the only roofer invited to be part of the Advisory Council for CertainTeed. He received an award to certify that he is an “Active, Respected Member of the CertainTeed Advisory Council for the Year of 2008.” Because of the confidence Stan has in the quality workmanship his company provides, he gives a 10 year warranty on his workmanship, unlike other roofers in the area only giving 2 years. We have full time employees with no sub contractors used to ensure the highest quality project.

Chimney repairs can take many forms for a seemingly simple structure, and costs can vary widely. Common chimney repairs include:
Chimney flashing repair: $150–$500
Repointing mortar joints: $400–$2,500
Repair or replacement of flue liners: $200–$7,000
Patching brick or stone: $350–$3,000
Pouring a new concrete top: $100–$3,000
Repairing chimney caps: $75–$1,000
The cost to replace the chimney crown or top is about $1,550 on average. The range varies widely depending on the size of the chimney, the materials used, accessibility, and the extent of the damage. If you suspect a problem with your chimney top, call a professional masonry contractor for an inspection.
Some of the most common chimney problems include:
Creosote buildup
Chimney blockage
Deteriorating brickwork or stonework
Cracked chimney top
Damaged flashing
Flue liner damage or deterioration
Damaged chimney cap
If you suspect you have a chimney problem, contact a masonry contractor for an inspection.
On average, chimney repairs cost about $455. However, because of the vast range of potential repairs needed, the cost to repair a chimney ranges widely from $160 to $15,000, depending on the type and extent of repairs required.
The cost to replace a chimney is about $10,000 on average and can cost up to $15,000, depending on the size, accessibility, materials, and extent of the replacement. Sometimes tearing the chimney down to the roof line and rebuilding it is an option. But if the chimney's internal structure deteriorates badly enough, a complete demolition down to the fireplace or the foundation may be necessary.
