Deep Cleaning

We recently signed up with Customized Cleaning Service and initially had a good experience. They had cleaned our home on 3 different occasions and we were generally happy with the service they provided. However the 4th time they cleaned we noticed a number of things that were not done properly or up to the same standard we had received the times before. We contacted the owner right away and left a vm as her policy was to send someone out to address our issues if we contacted her the same day. As we have our home cleaned on a Friday, we were not too worried when we didn?t hear from her that same day and chalked it up to the weekend. We also sent her an email on Sunday night outlining our concerns with the service. The owner sent an email on Monday, apologized, stated she didn?t receive a voice mail from us, and asked if we would give her the opportunity to talk to her cleaners when they got back into work later in the week to find out what happened. When she got back to us on Friday, she proceeded to tell us, in an email, that her cleaners had done everything they should have but that she would offer us a minimal discount for the inconvenience. We were a little upset with her email and the fact that she didn?t even have the decency to contact us directly but instead choose to end an email basically saying we were wrong and her staff was correct. We discussed at this point canceling our service but decided to give them one more chance. This ended up being a bad decision and we should have gone with our first reaction. So on the Thursday before our next regularly scheduled cleaning appointment, the owner contacted us to let us know that her cleaners would be there Friday morning at 10am. So on Friday when they didn?t show up at 10am we started making phone calls to see when they would be coming and left a couple of different voice mails. After waiting until close to noon, we had leave to run a number of errands. Around 12:15 they finally called to ask where we were as they were at our home. We indicated that we were across town and it would take a little while before we could get back, especially as they were over 2 hours late. We were then rudely told that if we could not be back in 15 minutes, they would not be able to clean our home and we would have to wait until our next schedule appointment in 2 weeks as they had other homes to clean. At that point we said okay and canceled our service. We would strongly recommend not using this service.

The first cleaning was extensive. Overall, the cleaning was above average; however, some areas were missed, while others appeared to be cleaned superficially. With the next visit, I was informed at the arrival of the crew that trainees would be used as well. I have tried several times to reach the owner, but my calls have not been returned. There has been confusion regarding the time of arrival, number of helpers, and cost.

Had estimate. We were supposed to barter services through another one of my companies. After they rendered services she decided not to barter anymore. The service was horrible - they would not come back and re-clean, and are now they are threatening to sue me if I don't pay the bill in full even though they haven't fulfilled their end. I have a full letter explaining the entire situation that I would be happy to submit.

The quality of the work deteriorated over time. We used them several years, and when missed things were addressed, the quality would improve for a short time but would go right back to how it was on the next visit. I finally quit using their service and will not go back.

I MET WITH A REPRESENTATIVE WHO WAS VERY PERSONABLE, AND I WAS EXCITED ABOUT THE COMPANY. THE WORK DONE AT THE MOVE-IN CLEANING WAS SHOCKINGLY BAD. ONE BATHROOM IN PARTICULAR WAS ACTUALLY DIRTIER AFTER THEY CLEANED THAN IT WAS BEFORE, BECAUSE SCOURING POWDER HAD BEEN ADDED TO THE DIRT AND DUST AND WAS NOT RINSED. THE REST OF THE HOUSE WAS SCARCELY BETTER. I HAVE A VERY DIFFICULT TIME VOICING COMPLAINTS WITH PEOPLE, BUT FOR OVER $800, IT WAS UNACCEPTABLE WORK, AND I HAD TO CALL THE COMPANY. THE REPRESENTATIVE CAME OUT AND LOOKED AT IT AND WAS EXTREMELY CONTENTIOUS. SHE REFUSED TO FIX THE PROBLEMS WITHOUT ANOTHER CHARGE. OBVIOUSLY I DECLINED TO HIRE THE COMPANY FOR MY REGULAR CLEANINGS. HIRING CUSTOMIZED CLEANING COST ME A SIGNIFICANT AMOUNT OF TIME, STRESS, AND MONEY. IF YOU GIVE THEM A TRY, I STRONGLY SUGGEST WITHHOLDING THE ENTIRE PAYMENT UNTIL AFTER THE JOB IS COMPLETED.

I FELT VERY COMFORTABLE WITH THEIR CLEANING AND BEING IN OUR HOUSE. THEY ACCOMMODATED OUR PETS IN OUR ABSENCE, DID A GOOD JOB AND WHENEVER I HAD A SPECIAL REQUEST, THEY TOOK CARE OF IT. JACKIE (OWNER) IS VERY HELPFUL AND RESPONSIVE. I LIKE HOW SHE TREATS HER EMPLOYEES UNLIKE MANY OTHER CLEANING COMPANIES.

SERVICE BEGAN WHILE I WAS ON MATERNITY LEAVE AND THE SERVICE WAS GOOD. UPON MY RETURN TO WORK, A DIFFERENT CREW WAS ASSIGNED AND THE SERVICE PLUMMETED. CREATED HOUSEHOLD HAZARDS FOR KIDS EVERY TIME. AT LAST CLEANING, THEY THREW AWAY GOOD DOORMAT ON RAINY DAY (WE TRACKED MUD THRU HOUSE UNTIL WE COULD PUT OUR STUFF DOWN, TAKE SHOES OFF) & SOAP DISPENSER, DIDN'T CLEAN BATHTUB, LEFT SINK FULL OF DIRTY WATER, LEFT PILE OF WET DIRTY WASHCLOTHS ON CARPET, ETC. OWNER PROMISED TO CHECK WITH CREW & CALL BACK, SHE DID NOT CALL. NO-SHOWED FOR NEXT SCHEDULED CLEANING. WHEN CALLED (VM LEFT) OWNER RESPONDED TO PHONE NUMBER AT WHICH SHE KNEW I WOULD NOT BE, SAID SHE HAD TERMINATED SERVICE. SHE NOW DOES NOT RETURN PHONE CALLS. IT IS NOW OVER 1 MONTH LATER AND SHE HAS NOT RETURNED OUR KEY. GAVE HER CHANCE TO CORRECT PROBLEM, IF MISUNDERSTANDING AND REMEDY KEY SITUATION, WITH NOTICE THAT I WOULD POST EXPERIENCE HERE IF SITUATION NOT CHANGED. NO RESPONSE.

JACKIE HEITMEYER MADE AN AGREEMENT TO MEET SOMEONE AT THE CHURCH FOR THE ESTIMATE. THE DAY OF THE APPOINTMENT, SOMEONE WAITED FOR HER FOR SEVERAL HOURS, AND SHE NEVER SHOWED UP. WE LEFT TWO VOICE MESSAGES DURING THAT TIME. WHEN SHE DID FINALLY CONTACT US, SHE SAID THAT WHEN SHE CAME TO THE NEIGHBORHOOD, SHE DIDN'T GET OUT OF THE CAR BECAUSE IT WAS NOT A GOOD NEIGHBORHOOD AND THAT SHE DIDN'T HAVE A CELL PHONE TO CALL US AT THAT TIME. THIS WAS VERY UNPROFESSIONAL AND SHE HELD US UP FOR SEVERAL HOURS BY NOT COMMUNICATING.

THE EMPLOYEES EARN BONUSES IF THE CUSTOMER CALLS AND SAYS THEY DID A GOOD JOB. THEY EITHER GET CASH OR EXTRA TIME OFF WITH THE ACCUMULATION OF POINTS.

THE TEAMS HAVE PERFORMED THE HIGHEST QUALITY OF CLEANING; BATHROOMS ARE SCRUBBED AND GLEAMING; THE FURNITURE SHINES, CARPETING AND STAIRWAYS GET EXTRA ATTENTION, THE KITCHEN IS CLEAN AND SANITARY. THEY ARE ALWAYS WILLING TO GIVE EXTRA HELP WITH THINGS I AM UNABLE TO DO, LIKE CHANGING CEILING LIGHT BULBS, MOVING SOMETHING HEAVY AND HANGING PICTURES. SOMETIMES, I AM THE LAST CLEANING JOB OF THE DAY AND THE WORKERS ALWAYS COME IN WITH ENTHUSIASM AND ENERGY.

THEY ARE PROMPT. THEY DONT RUN THROUGH THE HOUSE LIKE WILD PEOPLE. THEY STAY THE ALLOTTED TIME. I AM VERY HAPPY WITH THE 2 LADIES THAT COME. THEY ARE JUST SUPER! I HAVE HAD 4 DIFFERENT CLEANING SERVICES AND FINALLY THE FIFTH ONE WORKED OUT.

TRIED TO CHARGE FOR FEW EXTRA MINUTES OF TIME (TIMES 3 PEOPLE) EACH TRIP. WRITTEN NOTES FROM BOSSS WORK ORDER WERE TAKEN LITERALLY (SUCH AS "CHANGING SHEETS" WAS DONE, BUT THEY SAID THEY COULD NOT MAKE BED BECAUSE IT WAS NOT ON WORK ORDER.) WAS CHARGED EXTRA FOR CHANGING SHEETS BECAUSE IT TOOK SO LONG! ASKED S/P TO OPEN BLINDS BUT WORKERS WOULD NOT OPEN BLINDS UNLESS THEY CLEAN THAT ROOM. SLOPPY WORK, ATTITUDE PROBLEMS (VERY SNIPPY).

THEY ARE VERY WELL TRAINED AND DO A GREAT JOB.

THEY HAVE BEEN VERY SATISFACTORY. VERY GOOD.

I WAS TOLD THE SAME LEAD PERSON WOULD COME TO MY HOUSE EACH TIME WITH 2 TO 3 OTHER GIRLS. THE FIRST TIME THEY CAME 3 GIRLS NAMES WERE SIGNED TO THE SLIP BUT ONLY 2 CAME, THEY WERE THERE FOR 1 HOUR AND 20 MINUTES. THERE IS NO WAY YOU CAN CLEAN THIS HOUSE IN A TOTAL OF 2 HOURS AND 40 MINUTES (1 HOUR AND 20 MINUTES WITH 2 GIRLS). THEY LET MY ANIMALS OUT OF THE BASEMENT WHERE I KEEP THEM AND THAT CAUSED OTHER PROBLEMS. WELL, IT WAS THEIR FIRST TIME SO I CALLED THE OWNER AND SHE WOULDN'T CALL ME AT A NUMBER WHERE SHE COULD ACTUALLY TALK TO ME. ALWAYS AT A NUMBER WHERE SHE COULD LEAVE VOICE MAIL. WHEN SHE LEFT A VM SHE TOLD ME TO JUST LEAVE HER A VM ABOUT WHAT I HAD TO SAY. WHEN I EXPLAINED THE PROBLEM TO HER I NEVER HEARD FROM HER AGAIN. THE WORK THEY CONTRACTED TO DO WAS NEVER DONE COMPLETELY. AFTER ABOUT 3 MONTHS OF THEM CLEANING FOR ME I LEFT THEM NOTES ASKING THEM TO PLEASE DO WHAT EVER THEY HAD M
