"I ordered all new windows from Mike Murnane upon returning home from deployment on June 17, 2024. Mike never ordered the windows. He stole a $5,000 down payment and strung me along for almost a year. Toward the end of November 2024, mike admitted the windows hadn’t been ordered but he was working on other jobs and would pay me back in a week. This continued for months. Filing a lawsuit. These guys are absolute crooks, do not trust them with anything. Update as of 04/22/2025 In regards to the review below, you guys are comical liars. Numerous calls were placed to your office in the early months. You guys sure knew mike then. You guys were able to get ahold of him a few times I couldn't. Your business has atlas exteriors listed as a DBA. All of this has been recorded, pictures saved, and the old "oh we don't know that employee" does not work when I have called your office for him and your secretaries get ahold of him for us. Months later you switched to suddenly not knowing a person using a listed DBA you have given business cards to? Same address? It'll get sorted in court unless money is returned."

Install day came and went and nobody showed up or called. Called the service manager and he said "he meant to call" but forgot--installers would come tomorrow a.m. Tomorrow a.m. came and went and installers finally showed up at 4:30 p.m. They looked at the job and said they couldn't do it because of a dog kennel on one side of the garage. The salesman had noted the kennel when he quoted us and said it wouldn't be a problem. The installers also lied and said they had been there at 9:00 a.m. but nobody answered the door. We were waiting in the living room for them at that time, and also have a driveway alarm so we know they were not there. Talked to the Service Manager again and he said he would be out to look at the kennel the next day or so. He looked at the kennel and said it should not have been a problem and would get someone out there to do the job. Never heard from him for over a week and called him again. We finally talked to him and he said someone would be out on 9/27 to do the install. A new installer showed up right on time that day, looked at the job and said that Gutter Guards' product does not work with metal roofs and that the salesman should never have even quoted us on the job! He had just come from another job that had the same problem. The installer left, and we have never heard a word from Gutter Guards America since then. No apology, nothing! This office is a complete mess. They have a Service Manager that doesn't return calls and expects you to call him; an incompetent salesman that doesn't really know the product, and some terrible installers who are hired contractors that don't care when they show up. The installer who showed up on the 27th was an exception--he knew what he was doing, unlike anyone else associated with this company. We finally got the job done by calling a general contractor--not a "gutter" contractor."

The most common problem with gutters is clogs and improper drainage. The most common cause is when surrounding trees drop leaves, blossoms, seeds, and other debris into your gutters. Debris gets wet and soggy in the gutter and blocks the opening of the downspout to prevent water from draining. Even moderate to steady rain can cause water to overflow the gutters. Clean the gutters as safely as possible every spring and fall. You may have to clean them out more than once when lots of leaves are falling over the course of several weeks.
Leaking gutters can cause major problems in your home, which is why cleaning your gutters is important. Water leaking behind the gutters can cause the wood at the edge of your roof and even part of the roof to rot. When gutters and downspouts leak, the ground next to the foundation becomes saturated and can end up causing cracks and water leaks in your basement or crawl space. Overflowing gutters can cause moisture problems with windows and exterior walls.
Gutter installation costs from $4 to $30 per linear foot. Cost factors include linear footage, type of gutter, and material (aluminum, copper, etc.). The number and length of downspouts also impact the cost. Roof repairs are another potential cost. Optional add-ons include gutter guards or gutter screens to keep debris out of the gutters.
Although installing or replacing gutters doesn’t usually add directly to the value of your home, it can help maintain the value of your home by preventing water damage from overflowing or leaking. Aside from the practical preventative maintenance, a neat, clean new gutter system can certainly add to your home’s curb appeal.
