I had this company come out to give me a quote for a full bathroom remodel. First guy was named Frank I believe, he was a great guy. Very respectul and chill. He tried to keep the pricing down by only putting a few things I wanted to be done in the quote, a standard tactic to keep their quote competitive. I was collecting quotes so didn't make a deal just yet. Kinda taking what each company gave me then compared. I think it was like 17800 to do the shower, floor and walls. They then sent a guy named Tom Hill out to give a more competitive quote (most companies did this to gain the job). It started out great but you can tell he was getting frustrated. I think it was partly cause hes a salesman and their tactics dont work on me too well. I'd tell him what I wanted, he'd formulate a quote for something I didn't want, then I'd say no I want this and that. I was consistent with what i wanted to be done. He did the same thing Frank did, exclude things to keep the price down. Common tactic but I wanted to compare apples to apples so I made him include everything I wanted. He kept going back and forth. Said phrases like "I give the costumer what they need, not always what they think they need." I had to tell him multiple times I was paying cash, he was dead set on me getting a loan. Brought it up multiple times. They also don't give a cash discount btw. Which is crazy, cause it usually is 3% off at most companies cause they pay fees if it's not cash. He was just totally dismissive of me and my wants throughout the process. We FINALLY got a quote for what I wanted after an hour of talking, and then I said I like it and will consider it. And this guy said "well we've been out here twice, we aren't coming back unless we make a deal now." I was like "sorry, not making a deal yet, got to ask more questions to more companies." And he kept saying how he doesn't do price negotiation and that theyve been out twice. Guess the implocation was they have wasted enough time on me. He said the price is the price. Which is fine. But im new to remodeling and wanted to make an informed choice. I kept it polite and said send me the quote at my email, I'm deciding friday. They never sent me the quote. He gave me his number to text him directly so he wouldnt have to come back down, messaged him multiple times to send me the quote. Never responded. So he basically wasted his time and my time. How would we sign a contract if he wasn't coming back out? I'm not sure. Although Tom probably won't change his tune, I write this review to save others time. Getting quotes takes hours, so save yourself a few and avoid this company I guess. I spend 2+ hours with this company in my house. Time i wont see back or be compensated for. Very negative experience. I got 4 other quotes, and so far it's been positive with each other one.

The windows were as bad as could be imagined. The furnace runs continuously. The inside temperature is staying around 61 to 62.

Very poor experience. Ordered an acrylic shower kit and new glass enclosure in June and latest estimate is December 16. We contacted this company primarily due to Angi’s List recommendations It started off well with the sales person. Very knowledgeable in his products. After 6 weeks, no updates I contacted the salesperson. They had quit. Contacted regional sales mngr and they didn’t have the acrylic yet. Two weeks later, no update, I called and they scheduled. August 30th acrylic installed with plumbing. Installer was clearly sub contracted and had not been trained for measuring for glass 2nd payment and 2weeks later, no update, I contacted again. Had to re-measure. No show, Rescheduled again. Measured and said 2-4 weeks for delivery. After 4 weeks,no updates,contacted again. Glass was not in. 2 weeks later, I contacted again and material ready. Scheduled for September 18. Morning of install called off. They claimed glass was dropped and had to reorder. Now scheduled for Dec 16

The experience was excellent from start to finish. The representative who came to our home was so knowledgeable and was great at answering questions and explaining offers. The installation was scheduled on the timeline we were promised. The installtion was completed in one day and was done very well. The company called to follow-up to be sure that installation was up to our expectations. Although one window had an issue to no one's fault, they had someone out quickly and the window was fixed in excellent time. Due to their great financing options, we went ahead and scheduled to have the rest of the windows in our home replaced. These are two very big projects and we feel that we made a great investment with the right company.

The installer went above and beyond my expectations. He really had his work cut out for him with my shower and it turned out better than I expected. He was friendly, explained things to me, and always cleaned up after himself. Will definitely be having them help me with projects in the future!!

Bottom line up font: STAY AWAY!!! My wife and I have been shopping around for someone to repair or replace our shower. ImproveIt was one of the top search results for bathroom repair/remodeling work. My wife trusts me to handle an appointment for an estimate, but they insisted that my wife and I must both be present for the appointment. No other contractor I've worked with has such a requirement. I didn't have the best feeling about them after the phone call, but I went ahead with the appointment, which they said would take 60-90 minutes. The representative they sent seemed very nice. He complimented our home, and asked questions about the smoker I have on our back porch. He inspected our shower and decided that the tile work was shoddy and would need to be completely replaced. This didn't seem totally unreasonable since the grout in the floor was crumbling. In retrospect, he would have come to the same conclusion no matter what he saw. Following the inspection, we sat down at the kitchen table for his presentation/sales pitch. He talked up the company and went over all of the awards they've received. He then talked through various options for redoing our shower. As it turns out every option is terrible except one. The one that isn't terrible is the product he's trying to sell. His product was a very sciency miracle materiel material, aka plastic. What he didn't know is that my wife and I both have advanced degrees in materials engineering, so we saw right through his B.S. There's nothing wrong with plastic, and it may be a good product, but it's hardly unique. At this point in the process, I hadn't quite figured out that he was going for the hard sell, used car salesman style. He had an affable demeanor and continued to pepper in compliments of our very ugly kitchen. He was very patient with our toddler disrupting the conversation and playing with his material samples. After we selected materials and options, he finally gave us a cost quote. The quote: $16,617!!! Over $16,000 to replace a 3'x3' shower that might not even need to be replaced! The quote was good for a year, but if we signed a contract for the work in the next 30 days, we would get about a $1,000 discount. But wait, he had a letter from the owner of the company. It was a very official looking letter, and it gave him permission to give an extra $1500 off if we signed a contract right then and there. My wife and I had not consulted any other contractors for the work, so we weren't about to sign a contract for over $13,000 on the spot without a better feel for the market. We hadn't ruled them out, but we needed more information. When we explained this to the salesman, he tried to convince us that it was a foolish waste of time to get more quotes. He said we wouldn't want to sit through yet another 3 hour (yes, he was at our house for 3 hours) presentation. He continued to push, but we held firm. As he packed up his things, my wife thanked him for his time. His response: "I just don't understand why you wouldn't sign the contract now and save $1,500, but whatever." He was suddenly quite rude. In retrospect, the sales tactics are quite clear. First he buttered us up. Then he "inspected" our shower and found that yes, indeed, it needed to be fully replaced. Then he talked up his company and product while disparaging any competitors. Then he hit us with the hard sell. I don't appreciate such tactics. I don't care how good the product is. I won't give my business to someone who treats me that way.

We had the windows replaced in two different sets first set the 2 extra large windows and 3 normal windows were replaced in July and the other 7 windows were replaced in January. I was nice that we had the same guys to come out to install the widows both times, they were friendly and cleaned up after themselves when they were done.

We with had the shower/bathtub they gave us a quote and they stuck to it even though we had a mold issue and rotted wood on one wall that we didn't expect. They dried out and took care of the mold and replaced all the rotted wood and we paid the price that was quoted.

This company is awesome! We had a walk-in shower with doors for 15 years. I am a fanatic about keeping things clean, but as much as I tried to keep it mold and mildew-free, I just couldn’t do it. I decided that I wanted to have the shower completely removed, and a new shower installed, and would go back to using a shower curtain. ImproveIt removed the walls, checked for any existing mold behind the walk-in shower, installed new green board, shower walls and fixtures. And, it only took 2 days! It started with Sales person Kyle Plante, who was friendly, courteous, thorough, patient as he led us through all of the options. We chose a subway tile. It’s made of a material that sheds water, and there is NO GROUT! Kyle checked in with us to make sure that we were satisfied with everything. The installers, Brad and Kyle (different Kyle), did a great job, were quiet, and even cleaned up after themselves. They kept us informed throughout the process, and told us not to hesitate to contact the company if we had any questions or concerns, and we had our own personal contacts. We were also given the contact info for the Owners, as they are very interested in knowing that you are satisfied. ImproveIt does other remodeling, and also has the best windows around, according to my friend. They guarantee their work, and we feel that they were very reasonable. I can’t say enough good things about this company. Our new shower is just perfect for us!

Extremely well. The sellers were nice, honest and honorable. One of the bedroom window sills was gouged. They sent a man to fix it. He did a superb job and went above and beyond what he had to do.

For both jobs, they were very quick to respond to my inquiries as well as to set up and perform the jobs requested. Any changes that needed to be made, I was notified of and conferred with in advance. Also, any questions I ever had were immediately answered. I was always given a contact number (multiple numbers in fact) where I could reach someone any time. All employees were very informative and knowledgeable about their part of the process and referred me to other parties (if necessary) if they were unable to answer any questions or direct me on inquiries. I felt comfortable with everyone that I had contact with whether it be personally or over the telephone. I was totally satisfied with all work that was completed and have been contacted several times by the company to ensure that I WAS totally satisfied. I would recommend IMPROVE IT to anyone looking for this kind of work to be done. When I am ready for my next project, they will definitely be who I contact.

Perfectly! They came on time, and they were professional and friendly. Also fixed some damage around the previous windows. They totally cleaned up after themselves so well that you wouldn’t have know they had been there except for the new windows. The windows are impressive as far as ease of use and in insulating abilities. When it was the hottest and very humid, one noticed the rooms with the insulated windows were cooler as you walked into the room. I’m looking forward to see how they handle in cold weather.

This was a horrible experience! We were told when we made the initial appointment that we would need to set aside 60-90 mins and that it would be "free, no obligation, good for a year". The designer, Chris, was in our home for 3 hours talking about how great his company is, how much he and everyone else gets paid, he trashed all of the competitors in the area by making false statements and spent, maybe, 45mins asking us design related questions (we thought this was necessary for him to give us a quote). Once he gave us an $14K quote that included a discount and didn't include removing tile from our wall or painting (he said they are not a drywall company), he pressured us into signing a contract with them that night (not a smart idea for any homeowner) and told us that the quote would increase by $4k if we didn't make a decision right on the spot. He also said several times he would not get credit for the sale if we didn't sign right now. We expressed our discomfort with this tactic and tried to ask questions to see where the money was actually being spent. After discussing the Improveit sales model with him it was clear that they are making huge profits off unsuspecting homeowners. It was clear this was not a company we were comfortable doing business with, so we apologized if he felt we wasted his time and asked him to leave. He then became agitated and started ranting about not making sale for two weeks, missing a show with his band for this, missing time with his daughter, not having money to eat and then berated us for not buying his sales tactic. He was asked to leave 2 more times, he refused to leave and was sitting in our kitchen texting. I was becoming increasingly uncomfortable and finally my boyfriend firmly and loudly told him to get out. He then threaten to call the police because we threatened him (mind you, he was given plenty of time to collect his things and go). I told him to call because if he didn't I would. He was given plenty of time to gather his things and leave for the third time instead he chose to continued to berate us and stand in our kitchen and continued his rant. He FINALLY left after I started to call the police because we let him know if he did not get out we would have to assist him in leaving. He continued to make comments as he left and continued to sit out in front of our home for 10 mins.Their sales rep was making every effort to not leave after being asked and was intentionally pushing buttons to try and escalate the situation. This is a crooked company that I would never recommend. They use every manipulative sales tactic in the book and try to bully you into signing their contract. Having a member of their team enter your home is a liability and is putting you and your family in an unnecessary, uncomfortable position.

I went to a home improvement fair and they have a booth there. They finished last week. So far, so good. The only thing that I would say from a negative standpoint was that they took much longer than they should. There was also some work that they did not see that needed to be done that the sales person and the person who did the work somehow overlooked it. Once they subcontracted it out, the serviceman was the one who said, you have a bigger problem. The great thing is their oversight was not included in the pricing. We did not pay anything additional for the work that they did. At one end I feel the really kind of blew it. Then on the other hand, it cost them because they blew it.

I decided to give these guys a second chance since the first attempt to receive a quote from them on my windows had been unsuccessful. funny thing was, shortly after my scheduling mishap, some people from Improve it came by my home to run their sales pitch. I explained to them everything that happened the first time around, so they quickly set me up to again receive a quote. Well we finally got them to our homeand the demonstartion of the product was profesional as well as the price being reasonable. So we signed on while having it explained to us how the process would move from the day we signed on until the installation. We signed on 9/11/13 and installation came 10/24/13. Everything seemed to go very quick and smooth. The installation crew was a father/son team that was very friendly and easy to work with. We are very pleased with our new windows and being that it is 25 degrees out right now we are happy to not feel those drafts anymore! I am pleased to finally be able to work with this company. from the curb appeal that was added to my home to the immediate difference it brings in temperature, we are highly pleased.
