"Absolute scam of a company. Charged us before doing the job, then came out and did the bare minimum and failed to do anything they said they would do. After months of discussion with the company, they refused to finish the job or offer us even a partial refund. Would stay away from this company if possible."

We're a family-owned and operated nuisance wild animal management service. We remove unwanted wildlife guests that can cause extensive damage along with expensive repairs. Our multiple services include animal removal, as well as minor repairs due to property damage caused by furry guests.
"Very rude when I decided I didn't want to trap and kill the racoons on my property. A simple explanation of Ohio rules would have been enough, no need to shame customers into going with you guys saying that the raccoon could have rabies and other scare tactics. I am plenty old enough to know that it could have a number of diseases, but that doesn't mean I'm going to change my stance. Do not recommend, very rude and had the audacity to rudely say "well I still get paid, that will be $80 for the visit and $10 for the drive from Shelby to ontario." As if I didn't know I still needed to pay him."

With over 100 years in business, we are earning your trust. Founded in 1915, Plunkett’s Pest Control is a family-owned & operated company with third-generation ownership. Plunkett’s delivers professional pest control services to residential and commercial clients in 20 states and growing. Our entire staff is knowledgeable, trustworthy, resourceful, and passionate about preventing & solving pest concerns for our clients and safeguarding the communities we call home.
"100% would recommend Mica from Plunkett’s to deal with your cockroach issues. We had roaches off and on for many months, despite a good cleaning regime etc., and eventually realized other units in our shared building had the same issues. Mica quickly and precisely diagnosed the source of the issue, was real with us about time and possible costs, worked with us in coordinating multiple units, patiently answered all questions, and in the end helped my neighbors and I deal with this extremely persistent issue in a relatively short time frame. He approached treatment with a lot of care and thought, in particular listening and adjusting for our concerns re: safety of our young toddler. This was a big one for us! Plunkett’s was a bit more expensive than some other pest control companies we looked at, but neighbors had already tried multiple other services and it never got rid of the issue. In the end, it was probably cheaper than multiple ineffective treatments, but more importantly we haven’t seen a roach in several months."

Emergency Pest & Wildlife is the premier rapid response pest control and animal control company in the Greater Columbus Metro Area. We provide residential and commercial exterminating services for general pests, bed bugs, and wildlife removal. We offer promotions throughout the year. Senior Citizen, Military/Veteran, and First Responder Discounts available.
"After posting my request, I was immediately contacted by the "VP and Co-Founder" (per his business card). He arrived early the next day to look at the problem and assess a solution. One quick issue, he didn't have a ladder, so I provided one. He proceeded to remove the insulation to find the access point. Then, in a very professional manner, he told me that there was dry rot on the wood and it would require a contractor. His contractor was currently busy on another project, but they would return either late the same afternoon or first thing the next day. No one showed up by late afternoon nor the next morning. After waiting until past 11 a.m., I called him and was told that "my technicians" haven't arrived yet and he would call me back within thirty minutes. That phone call never happened nor was I ever contacted again. I called another Angie's List provider and the problem was resolved. All the man had to do was simply tell me he was incapable of fixing the issue and I would have been fine with that. Instead I wasted two days waiting for what turned out to be a physical no-show and a non-existent phone call. Seriously, an honest "I can't do it" would have been fine, a disappearing act was not."

DIY animal removal is rarely a good idea and is not advised for many reasons. First, these types of animals can carry diseases and, therefore, pose a health risk to you, your family, and your pets if mishandled. Second, depending on your city or municipality, it may be illegal to remove or handle wildlife yourself.
Sealing your home against these animals yourself is also a bad idea. Trapping an animal under your house will cause odor and insect problems when it passes away.
Pest control is not the same as animal removal. Pest control specialists treat for insects and bugs, often by using chemicals. Animal removal specialists try to avoid chemicals if possible and instead work to trap and move the animal that's causing problems.
Since each expert has their own removal methods, it's best to contact a pest control professional for insects and bugs and an animal control specialist for other animals.
Animal removal specialists specialize in removing critters and wildlife from in and around your home. These include:
Bats
Birds
Groundhogs
Moles and voles
Opossums
Mice and rats
Raccoons
Skunks
Squirrels
The specialist's method to remove these critters will depend on the animal. For example, groundhogs will be live-trapped and relocated, whereas, for birds, the expert will remove and discard the inactive nest and sanitize the area.
You might be tempted to call your local municipality to remove animals from your property, such as a groundhog burrowing in your yard or raccoons getting into your trash cans. However, they typically only remove domestic animals like dogs and cats from properties, or sick and injured wildlife that pose a public safety risk or health threat, such as a rabid animal. They typically do not capture or remove healthy wildlife.
Animal removal professionals have the tools, knowledge, and skills to trap and remove wild animals adequately and humanely. They also can relocate them correctly.
Professional animal removal costs between $200 and $600 for average homeowners. However, depending on the type and number of critters removed, this cost could range from $85 to $1,400.
This cost does not include the cost of home damage caused by the animal, which could be as low as $300 for minor drywall repair or as much as $15,000 for crawl space cleaning and restoration.
