I have many references from satisfied customers over 20 years now--as my reviews indicate. I generally handle one project at a time--as a rule-- and I give my full attention to each project. I am available to help with all aspects of the project from concept to finish. I am also architecturally qualified to assist in the design concepts. I personally do most of the detail work and finish work myself and am qualified as a master-carpenter. I'm probably one of the few "working contractors" still around. My rates are very reasonable and I can usually work within a customer's budget. 2015, 2016, 2017 AND 2021 Super Service Award Winner in Dutchess County , Remodeling - Kitchens & Bathrooms are my specialty.
"Let me start by saying that John is our hero - we had been looking for someone to do our bathroom for a reasonable price for over 2 years. 12 years ago I used a general contractor to remodel my bathroom, and had nothing but issues from cracked grout to leaks inside the walls and rotting supports. John came in the fall of 2024, inspected the site, understood that this was our only bathroom and worked with us to expedite our renovation. He is extremely focused on problem resolution, patiently explaining each issue he uncovered, showing what was wrong and how to make it right, and keeping costs from spiraling out of control. Our new bathroom is fresh and modern, and more importantly leak free. I have been enjoying this bathroom since the project finished in December. John is fantastic!"

"It hard to overstate how wonderful an experience my family had with Hire Her Home Improvement. Angela and her team were consummate professionals from our first contact to when the job wrapped. Angela (the owner) was impressively responsive, collaborative and spoke frankly about what work was feasible, what would be challenging and what things would cost. Her friendly, frank and collaborative nature made me trust her immediately. We had planned to start the attic renovation in mid March but a slot opened up in her schedule and we wound up starting six weeks early. The first thing that caught my attention was how prompt they were. If the start time was 8am, they would be outside at 7:55. As a professional project manager, that really made me happy. Angela’s crew (Jason and Steve) and the subcontractors were all expert craftsmen and worked efficiently, collaboratively and took wonder care to protect the rest of my home. One instance I want to call out was how one day I was delayed in coming home from running an errand. While I was out, the work wrapped for the day but Jason didn’t have a key lock the house. So Jason had the rest of the crew go home and he waited on my porch until I got home. I was just blown away. Last but not least, I want to talk about the work. They took a completely unfinished uninsulated 350 sq foot space in my attic and turned it in to a fantastic office space that’s quickly become my favorite room in the house. Everything was beautifully finished and every detail was considered. On her final walk through, Angela ever saw a few small things that she wanted to push further and had the crew come back and make a few tweaks. From start to finish the whole project took just over three weeks. Friends, if you’re looking to have anything done to improve your home. Look no further than Hire Her Home Improvement.
