"DON"T USE THIS COMPANY! Ethan W,the representative, will promise you anything, but after his men install your awning and take your check, you will never see them again. I originally called Metropolitan Awnings and Ethan came over and told me he could recover and repair my retractable awning. I gave him a deposit of $1000. When his men arrived, they said the awning wouldn't work and they put me on the phone with Ethan,who said I need a whole new awning because they could fix my old awning after all. When his men returned with a new awning, they installed it and I gave them a check for $3613. I questioned them because the awning was hard to open and close, but they said it would loosen up quickly with use and to call Ethan if there was any problem. Shortly after I did have to call Ethan because the awning filled with water pockets during a storm. Ethan said he would come over and adjust the awning, but he never showed up for his appointment and he never returned any of my calls. I did speak to him one more time when I called him from another phone. He said he had tried to reach me many times and would come over. He never showed up and I was never able to reach him from that phone again either. He also never sent a receipt for the awning and each time I talked to him he promised to send the receipt. When I tried to check his various addresses on Google Maps, they show a vacant lot with a school bus in front of it or a non-existent building. You can't trust this company for any work and especially be aware of any business attached to the 718-807-7233 telephone number or Ethan W."

"My sister and I purchased a house in October of 2019 and moved into it in January of 2020. We hired Tim Fudale of BellaMax to do some work before we moved in. He was able to do all the work we needed done, which varied from sheetrock and painting, to installing a brick wall, to building shelves to match existing shelves in the kitchen. Everything he did was uniformly excellent and we could not have been happier with his work. Along the way, he noticed things we missed, and made suggestions that were helpful and productive, for which we were super grateful! He is seriously talented; not just a contractor but also a craftsman. In addition, he is kind, interesting, and easygoing, and my persnickety little dog really liked him- a big plus! We highly reccomend him!"

"Dave and his team were wonderful to work with. We met with several contractors for our new deck and Dave was recommended by our architect. He was extremely responsive and we found his rates were comparable to others we received. We were stalled for a while due to Covid, but once our permit was approved, Dave kicked off work for us the next week. He was very communicative, sharing updates, hiccups (fortunately not too many - usually product delays), and recommendations. I can't say enough good things about his crew. They always arrived on time and worked diligently. They also indulged the many questions my husband and I had!
