I called Dave and he was busy at the moment and said that the problem that I had I could easily fix myself by going to Home Depot and picking up the part which I did and I was able to put it in under 20 minutes. (It took longer to remove it from the plastic container that it was wrapped in). His suggestion probably saved me a few dollars."
