We are a local New York City furniture repair and restoration company with offices in Manhattan and Brooklyn serving the entire 5 boroughs and Long Island. I have over 20 years of experience in Upholstery Service. Our management and staff have vast knowledge and experience in the furnishings industry. Our customer base grows by the day; they range from the public sector, importers, insurance companies and celebrities through to the government sector. Some of our staff have been restoring and repairing furniture for over 30 years. So you can rest assured your cherished furniture is in good hands.
"It should have been a red flag when Eli shows up and asks for both a pen and a piece of paper to write down the details of our order. The price seemed about right but the quality of the work was lacking. This is the second time we reupholstered our mid-century loveseat by another firm and expected equal quality given all the positive reviews we saw online. Unfortunately we were disappointed with the work that was done. When Eli delivered the loveseat I sat on one side and it felt firm, like we expected, and thought nothing of sitting on the other side. About a week later both sides felt like they did before the work was done, sagging when we sat down. We checked the invoice and it clearly stated repair/replace springs. That did NOT happen. So we emailed and at first no response, then a response and then a date/time was set, and then changed by Eli. And then NO response. I would suggest staying clear of this firm as the chances of getting a poor result is magnified when the company, who promises customer satisfaction, fails to follow-up and make good the work that was supposed to be done the first time. I have contacted my credit card company about this matter, as this is not what you expect to happen."

NY based business; here at One Final Touch Furniture we offer quality furniture restoration, custom furniture, and home improvement. We pick up furniture to repair in our shop.
"Unprofessional. A complete and total disappointment. Mike was supposed to stain and match my cabinet finish and the color was way off, and he kept trying to convince me that the colors matched. Mike didn't arrive prepared with any tools or material, not even a screwdriver! Mike argued with his assistant the whole time. Mike and assistant went on a 3 hour lunch break, and ended up working on my cabinets until 9am, and didn't finish!! Mike returned alone the following day, I shared that I was unhappy with the quality of the work, he hung my cabinets, and did not properly secure then to the beams, and I could not put anything in the cabinets. I shared with him that the project was not satisfactory and he stated "when women start to complain, I have to leave, I can't listen to women complain". I had to pay another contractor to come in an take down the cabinets and re-install them securely. See the picture posted. The 2 long middle wall cabinets are lighter than the rest of the cabinets, they stand out. Don't hire this person, it's not worth it."

With more then 30 years experience, we work hard to bring each customer the best possible service and quality available. We look forward to working with you on your next project. We welcome your questions and thank you for your interest.
"Came with good fabric selection. Did 4 chairs in 2 weeks, but scratched the arms of all 4 chairs. Delivery men took pictures and promised someone would call. Finally responded to email and agreed to a date for touch up of chairs. No one came. Called and agreed to send someone another day for touch ups. In pouring rain 2 workers came to pick up chairs, not to touch up. Emailed managers and said I was not happy with them my review would reflect the above problem. Called me 5 minutes after email sent to argue about review. Sorry they were not as efficient at fixing scratches."

The cost to refinish wood furniture ranges widely, depending on the size and type of furniture. Here’s what you can expect to pay to refinish the following wood furniture items:
Table: $150–$700
Dining chair: $100–$400
Rocking chair: $200–$500
Bar stool: $100–$250
China cabinet or armoire: $500–$3,500
Dining set: $1,000–$3,000
Coffee table: $150–$800
Dresser: $300–$2,000
Bed: $350–$2,000
Pool table: $300–$600
Kitchen cabinets: $1,800–$5,000
As with any project, weighing the pros and cons of upholstery can help determine if that is the right choice for you. The ultimate question is whether it’s worth reupholstering instead of buying new furniture. Here are a few of the benefits and disadvantages of reupholstering a piece of furniture.
Pros:
Preserving a family heirloom
Maintaining high-quality furniture in good condition
Reinventing an old piece of furniture
Keeping a piece of furniture from going to a landfill
Cons:
Spending (possibly) more than to buy a new piece of furniture
Finding out the frame is beyond repair
Waiting for the reupholstery work to be done
It can be cheaper to reupholster a chair or other piece of furniture than to buy a new one, depending on how much it costs to replace. If the chair or couch originally cost less than $300, then reupholstery may not be the cheapest option. However, if the chair is expensive, vintage, or discontinued, reupholstery can be the more affordable option. This is especially true if the piece of furniture is out-of-production or holds sentimental value.
On average, the cost to reupholster furniture is about $720 per piece. However the price range to upholster a piece of furniture varies widely from about $380 to $1,150 or more, depending on the material type and availability, repairs needed, and the complexity of the project. Fabric costs typically range from $50 to $70 per yard while the cost of labor runs from $40 to $100 per hour.
The cost to refinish a table is about $250, depending on the size, type of finish, and amount of detail involved in the table and the new finish. The lowest price to refinish a table is about $80, and the highest is about $700. Additional tasks like dipping, stripping, staining, and painting will add to the total project cost. Here are average costs to refinish a table by type:
Side or end table: $80–$150
Coffee table: $150–$250
Dining room table: $400–$700
