The subs were only concerned with doing the fastest, cheapest job they could do (classic example is on the plumbing rework, the plumber substituted PEX for copper and the former isn't rated for the latter job)."

The quality of the work was atrocious, but before it was near finished, he demanded more money. We said no, you have to finish, and he took off.
