The crew from Tier 1 did a fantastic job replacing our entire roof, and even went the second mile by helping us deal with some rotting issues that were discovered during their work with us. We were not only pleased with the roof replacement, we can't say enough about the clean-up job done by Tier 1 after the roof replacement. Sometimes contractors don't do a great job cleaning up around the home after work has been done, but Tier 1 made sure everything around the house was cleaned up and neat before they departed. Before you hire anybody give me a call I guarantee that I'll beat the price of any other "contractor" in Winston Salem, Kernersville, Greensboro, and High Point and all surrounding areas. Our quality stands above most expectations and the products are top of the line guaranteed.
"The overall project took about three months. The construction, wiring and plumbing were done effectively and decently. Several things weren't explained very well, if at all. My biggest complaint is that two different items we bought (which we were told would be reimbursed) were not looked at ahead of time. The plumbing was done incorrectly so the shower kit we really wanted couldn't be used. The shower rod wouldn't fit after the tiling. Checking items the client wants to use beforehand is common sense. Pretty disappointing, especially since we bought it toward the beginning of the project so it couldn't be returned (and wasn't reimbursed). J. Ashley did come out after the project was finished to repair an outlet, which was above and beyond his contractual obligations. I would recommend J Ashely for smaller, straight forward work like flooring, but not for anything major or complicated."

My name is Shane Nelson I am the owner of DISCOUNT RENOVATIONS. We have been in business for 16 Years and we pretty much can do it all. The only service we do not provide is carpet. We specialize in bathroom and kitchen remodels. We are very well trained with plumbing, tile, electrical, drywall, painting, carpentry, roofing, and I could keep going. My workmanship speaks for itself. If you want quality work at a fair price then I'm your guy. I am not the cheapest person out there and for good reason. I stay busy so if you are needing work done immediately I'm probably not going to be that guy. "Discount Renovations, Shane, was a huge mistake. I would have completed this review in September, 2020 when the work was supposedly completed but there were major problems. He took down a double garage that was beyond repair, and stated he could replace it with a single door, and enclose the other half since I didn't need a double door. The door was installed but would not go up and down properly. Shane made two trips back to look at the door, and never corrected the problem. He told me if he had to make another trip I would be charged. With that said I was not going to pay him more money for work half done. So here in January of 2021 I called a professional garage door company to work on the door. The door that Shane installed didn't even have the correct track. There was nothing to do except tear his junk out, and put up a new door with a cost of $2,600. He did do other projects at the house which included a new hot water heated, well tank bladder, reworked the front door to open and close, replaced the rear door, a few feet of crown molding, removed a three foot divider in the kitchen, and a small amount of drywall repair. He charged me $14,000. At that time there was some code violations with the county and I needed to get work done. Shane took full advantage of that situation. Looking back, I should have paid any penalties to the county until I could have gotten a professional plumber and carpenter. Using professionals would have probably saved me $4,000 to $6,000 and I certainly would not have had to pay an additional $2,600 to have the job done right."
