We agreed to the new system and was quoted in the area of $12,000+ (way over priced it turns out should have been no more than $8,000). Put a contract on a tablet in front of me to sign. I trusted then and signed, my mistake. They increased the capacity of the unit without telling me. Why? This led to the need for new duct work. Verbal estimate: $3,000. Billed: $10,000+. Excuse: their salesman mis-spoke. Stuck the contract infant of me on may way to an appointment. I signed trusting the estimate was legit. It wasn't."

I assumed I would only (!) need to have that section of the home jacked up and the foundation repaired. Brian returned my call quickly, and met me and my realtor at the house (was a 45 min. drive for him) to give me his opinion and verbal price quote. Many contractors/carpenters would have just focused on the project and the money involved, but Brian wanted to see WHY the house had sunk. He pointed out the major structure issues with the tresses in the attic, joists, as well as other red flags, that would cause problems later. He's a master carpenter and his knowledge, experience (and sense of humor!) was refreshing and valuable. After meeting with him I decided to pull my accepted offer on the home and feel I have saved myself untold amounts of money, stress and frustration.
