In business since 1992, Tri-State prides itself on providing top notch services and products to it's many customers. Our Service Plumbing team is ready and willing to tackle your project - be the need immediate or not. Simply reach out and we will dispatch a technician immediately to provide a quote and solve your problem!
"Only rating 1 because it doesn't go lower. Had a new unit installed end of Sept 24. First time power goes out on 11/5, no electricity. When tri state sells you a product, they pitch their amazing customer service with all these guarnatees of knowing when your unit is out before you know and having someone there within 24 hours etc. Well, the first call we make we are told it will be the end of Nov to get someone out to look at it. 3 weeks. Nobody shows up. Then we get a call that says "your appointment on Dec 12 has been canceled and the earliest we can get to you is Jan 16th. This is 2.5 months wait to get service to fix a nearly $20k unit, that is upcharged because of the excellent service. You can't get anyone to answer your call. you wait on hold for 20 minutes, then have to leave a voicemail in which you will not get called back. Based on my experience, find someone else and pay less. Even if the service is bad, which it can't be worse than this, you save money! @kohler"

Owner operated since 2015 serving all of your Plumbing and Electrical needs. New construction, repair and installation. No job is too small or too big. Great customer service and competitive pricing.
"LCS Plumbing & Electrical LLC installed new waterlines, tub and fixtures in my bathroom during our recent remodel, they also cleaned our water heater and installed new elements. Their response time and workmanship were excellent! I'm like most people, I hate calling repair services, because you always seem to get someone that wants to run through the job and over charge, but not LCS! I definitely recommend them for any plumbing or electrical needs."

"What should one say about a company that would be willing to install a water heater without remedying an issue that would VOID THE WARRANTY? This is the case for an interaction I had with Beis Plumbing today. I called to arrange getting an estimate for the installation of a new water heater. I found that their standard procedure is to give a phone quote and no home visit. Admittedly, other companies have a similar policy. When I explained that an in-home estimate from another company identified a water pressure problem that could affect the longevity of the water heater and quite possibly result in a failed inspection, I was told that they could just add the cost of a Pressure Control Valve to the phone quote. I stated that I was not comfortable with simply getting a phone bid. How could an accurate quote be given without reviewing the location for the installation and other possible issues? But, I sent the 2 photos of the water heater that they requested. A short time later, I received a call from a Beis representative wanting to give me a quote for the water heater and installation. She was aware that I wanted an in-home visit and told me that they would require a $95 charge for such a visit. I explained that I am not willing to pay $95 for a quote that I may or may not accept. The call ended amicably and I crossed Beis Plumbing off of my list. A short time later, I received another call from a Beis representative. The guy said he was calling to give me a quote on the installation of a water heater. I told him that I had already spoken with someone from his company and I relayed the same information I gave to the previous representative. I also told him that I am not comfortable because if I had not known about the water pressure issue and told them, I would have received an unwanted surprise of a large add-on cost at the time of installation. It was at that point, he stated something that made my jaw drop. This guy had the audacity to tell me that I would not be required to have the water pressure issue resolved. Beis would still do the install. He then went on to state that WARRANTY ON THE WATER HEATER WOULD JUST BE VOID. I was flabbergasted that a representative of a company would tell a prospective customer that the company would install a product knowing that the warranty would be void. When I asked him why a customer would want a product installed knowing that the warranty would be void, he stated that he was ending the call. To me, this indicates a willingness to perform sub-standard work as long as they could point the finger at the customer. Would you want such a company doing work for you?"

The license requirements for water softener installation depend on your location. Some municipalities require that the installer hold a plumbing license, some require a permit and an inspection, but no license for the installer, and some require a permit and a license for the installer. Regardless of the local laws in your area, it’s always a good idea to hire a licensed plumber or installer. These pros will install your system properly and have the experience to size the system appropriately. Use Angi’s state licensing tool to check your installer’s license status.
The cost to install a water softener system is $1,500 on average, ranging between $200 and $6,000. The labor for water softener work typically costs between $150 and $1,000, so you can add that to your equipment costs to get an accurate total. Your price will depend on many factors, including the following:
System capacity
Home size
Water hardness levels
Type of water softener
Presence of electricity in the installation area
Local permit costs
Water softeners are worth the money if you live in an area with hard water. Hard water is safe to drink, but it poses serious threats to your plumbing system. The minerals in hard water will gradually build up on the inside walls of your pipes, reducing water flow to your fixtures. The minerals can also gradually corrode your plumbing system, reduce its lifespan, and increase the risk of leaks. Hard water also makes soap and detergent less effective. Water softener systems can solve all these issues, making them a great investment.
It’s possible to install a water softener yourself, but we don’t recommend it. Water softeners require working with copper pipes and electrical wiring, neither are suitable tasks for most DIYers. Plus, working with water and electricity together is dangerous and could pose a risk to your safety. Water softeners also need to be calibrated so that they don’t make your water too soft, as soft water poses just as many risks as hard water. Overall, it’s well worth hiring a local water softener installer to place your water softener system.
Your water softener size is based on your total household water consumption. In most cases, you can assume the average household member will use around 75 gallons per day. Multiply that by the number of people in your home, then multiply by 10 (for the typical grains per gallon). You’ll get a number in grains that should help roughly size your water softener. However, it’s best to hire a professional to install your system and use more exact numbers, like your exact average water consumption per day and starting water hardness.
