They did an excellent job - they do not cable drains but used a waterjet - slightly more expensive

Great efficient service, I had backed sewer On Dec 30, called them and they were able to get me in the next day, even though we had to wait longer than we were told, the technician(Shaon) was very cool and efficient, he saved the day.

He did the job very well and ensured that everything was working smoothly. Even educated me on things I was not aware about.

Great experience, plumber was in and out within an hour and fixed our problem.

The work was performed professionally but for what was accomplished it was extremenly overpriced!

My handicapped sister-in-law had drain issues in her condo. She contacted Rotor-Rooter to clear. A tech showed up for a few hours, cleared the lines and performed the work as needed. They charged her a commercial rate, not residential. She had a $75 coupon and the tech just sold her $76 worth of useless products to supposedly help keep the lines clear. I called the office 2 weeks ago to speak with the manager and he never returned my call. They clearly took advantage of her. I would never recommend using this company.

First had appointment on Wed 6/8 at 1:00 pm,took day off and talked to association in my building the day before,they said we need to announce to neighbors that watter will be shut off and we charge for that and to shut the water off. Roto rooter didn't show up and they called at 1:30 PM that they are not coming and if I would like to reschedule .I rescheduled to Saturday 6/11 at 11:00 to 3:00 pm. Again same procedure,took day off and called association..Now I have angry people in association and in my building. On Saturday guy came at 1:50 pm and after walking thru condo and observing what he need to do he said that HE DOES NOT HAVE TIME TODAY FOR THAT AND TO CALL TO SET NEW APPOINTMENT.At this point I thought that I am going to faint and it is close to 3:00 pm.Asking nicely why he came if he knew that .At the end I told him that I will need to fix necessary things since the water shut off is already announced and that I am getting charged for it second time this week because of them.I offered to change my plan and instead of instaling shut off valve for my condo I remove vanity in the bathroom,cut the wall and make it accessible for him to work on those unoperable valves untill he fix the leaky pipe in the closet.After that he instaled new valves in my bathroom. So instaling 2 3/8 size valves and instaling the coupler on 1/2 inch pipe cost me 870$,the parts needed for my work are in home depot 26.43$. The guy was out of my condo at 4:30PM. So if you want to be humiliated and feel sorry for your self just call the Roto Rooter.

I generally do not write reviews, and when I do, it is usually to point out exceptional service or quality. Unfortunately, that is not the case here. Robert from Roto-Rooter (Saint Louis) came out to fix a shower handle and cartridge. This took quite a while and I was charged significantly more than what one would expect for this job. After a couple weeks, I noticed that a leak had started as a result of this work, when water began to come through my basement ceiling. Robert returned to diagnose a leak from a sweat joint on the shower valve. He indicated that he would need to replace the entire valve, removing tile to get to it, and quoted $1500 (not including tile repair). This leak did not begin until the work he had done on the original job. I went with another company who diagnosed the same issue, but offered up a repair solution, costing less than 1/3 of Robert’s quote, and did not require the removal of tile (their quote for complete replacement was also considerably cheaper as well, even with tile replacement included). They are a reputable company and completed this work in an hour. I would strongly recommend against using Roto-Rooter in Saint Louis as they are overpriced, dishonest with their advice, and seemingly lack the skill of other plumbing options in the area.

Just no. They take advantage of people in a tough spot. I was overcharged about $800. I would absolutely not recommend this company. Please check out Tony LaMartina, or Maplewood Plumbing for a reasonable price.

this is a follow up review. After calling and emailing multiple times with no response. (this goes on for two months now) we received a letter stating a lien will be placed on home unless bill is paid - is there any legal support here? their ONE LINE bill has no break out of fees or hours or anything, and no one from this company responds.

Ivan showed up on time and explained to me what needed to be done. The work was completed in a short time and he showed me the roots he had taken out of the line. After making sure the line was working properly, the work site was completely cleaned up. I will certainly use them again and will recommend them.

Kevin arrived promptly and did a very good job He even went the extra mile by pointing out that we had a coupon that we didn't know about.

Initially great, but the salesman for the restorative part of the job lied to us on numerous areas and the company didn't stand behind his promises, then the workers were very late 1 day and failed to communicate the info on when they would arrived and became aggravated when I called to find out what time they were going to arrive. A representative did call me after the job was completed and did try to appease me but the company left a bad taste in my mouth and I would never hire them again. He seemed as if he just wanted to support his staff and the salesman should be fired for his lies!!!!

The gentleman called to let me know he was enroute. He arrived at said time. He completed the messy job without leaving any sign that he had been here except for a working drain.

The first gentleman came out and was baffled because the stains were there but when he cut out part of the ceiling, nothing was wet. He did replace the wax ring on the toilet above and he placed a call to have another member of the team come out to check it out. The second gentleman who was also very professional climbed up and inserted a probe in multiple spots and couldn’t find any source of water leaking. He said to keep an eye out on it and call them back if the stains grew significantly in the next few days. I will definitely use this company again as I was very pleased with their prompt, professional service.

well the person Antoine the person that gave us the estimate was very pushy to get us to have them do the work and promised us a number of things that roto rooter does not do, such as promise plastic bins for storing goods in the basement, that our insurance company would include the cost of clearing the line to go toward our deductible which is not covered. that the cleaners would put things back after the clean up and that any items that the insurance company need to see for property damage they would dispose of the items after the adjuster came and they do not take and dispose. the person Terry that cleared the line was professional and did a great job. The restoration men mike and ahmed were nice but on Jan 4th Mike told us he was in a meeting and would be here about 10am and did not show so I called him at or about 1130a for him to be aggravated that I was following up and said would be here by 12p only to show up about 1-130p and when they left they didn't tell us goodbye or when they would return and left the basement a mess sorry but no photos. On sunday 6Jan Mike came by to review job and get moisture readings and when I told him the experience we had with the restoration team told me he was embarrassed by the way they left the job and the condition it was in. I mentioned to Mike that I did not like that no supervisor was available for me to talk with and even Mike didn't want to take responsibility for being their supervisor until I pointed out to him that he had told me he was the supervisor. I was ready to plug my dehumidifier back in only to find that they broke a hose that was attached to the water reservoir so that it could drain so now I have to replace it. Overall I would say I will never use them again for restoration work as they have been very unsatisfactory to me and my wife. VERY UNSATISFACTORY!!!!!

Great! Jason came on Sunday despite phone service initially said there wasn't an appointment available. Problem fixed !

Not done on a timely manner, left not perfectly clean, tiles were removed so I couldn’t reuse.

Never responded to the request for bid.

Our professional showed up quickly, and was able to finish re-installing two sinks which had been leaking.

Incredibly well. It felt expensive, but when it comes down to it, they showed up very quickly, fixed everything on the list, and cleaned up well enough behind themselves I did not even know they were there. All our faucets work much better after attention to whole house pressure and replacement and repair of a couple. It only took hours. Thanks. Very refreshing after failed attempts at scheduling confusion/disinterest from a company I originally called before calling Roto Rooter.

Although the scheduling process and quick availability was very good, the service call was a disaster. Despite having explained the location and need, the technician had neither a ladder nor a long enough “snake” to clear the problem. In fact, he claimed the problem - which was diagnosed by our HVAC contractor - was not really happening. We took his word for it and called another HVAC contractor, and they independently diagnosed the same thing. So $289 down the drain, literally.
