Fast, efficient, and reliable, I am a reputable local Handyman in NE Rochester, Mn. My name is Ken. I am a father to six and a husband to one. I've lived in Rochester most of my life and I'm honored to call it home. I started out in this domain by just helping out family and friends with every kind of project under the sun and I loved every minute of it, and now I am turning that love into a business. I go above and beyond to cater to each projects specific needs. I want my customers to be satisfied with my work, which is why I provide open communication channels throughout every step of the way. I hope you'll consider me for your Handyman needs! Please don't hesitate to reach out with any questions. I hope to hear from you!
"I hired Ken to build me patio furniture. I just showed him a photo of what I wanted and he had it built for me in two days. I wanted to be a part of the process and he walked me through the whole project and let me assist, guiding me through each step and what every tool was and what it was used for. He finished quickly but did and excellent job, not missing a detail. He is very affordable, and I would absolutely recommend him to anyone looking for a Carpenter or any other handyman service."

"Horrible The experience was awful with this people. I didn't know this company at all, my insurance company send me a list of 5 general contractors to take care of my house, so I pick J Benson because they were close to my house and I want it to keep the contractor local and close. So I went with them. They send an estimator like one day after the damage of the house, I signed the paperwork and two days later they send a different person because the first guy had previews commitments, so that was the first red flag. The second estimator took a lot more pics of the house and did he's first estimate, he submitted to the adjuster and it passed just fine. But then it took them almost one whole month before any one started to work in my house, not a single nail was removed or anything. Then I found out that numerous contractors were going in and out of my house with out me knowing it. Finally the work started and the job "foreman" got involved, this guy was even worst, he only called and picked up the phone when he need it something for me other ways good luck trying to get a hold of him. This guy should be FIRED and never allowed to work on the field again. One day I called him and he's answer was "what do you need, I am kind of busy right now" Awesome. Then I asked for an estimate to build a brand new bathroom in the basement. The estimator give me he's quote and we agreed on the price, so they started the project about one month after the paperwork was signed. About 80% of the work was done when I found out that the estimator "FORGOT" to add the toilet and the tub on the estimate!!!!!! How can any one do that????? So I had to came up with that $$$ And then there was the communication with office personnel. Since day one right after I signed the paperwork I offer to give them money, the estimator said "some one from the office will contact you" NO one ever did, weeks went by with out a single person contacting me about money. Finally some one did and every time we communicated there was a mistake with the numbers, every time there was an "I am sorry I forgot" Unreal this people. A couple of weeks before the project was done and I was super upset with every one involved at this point I requested a supervisor. He reached out to me and we meet at my house. He right away start asking me for money, I pretty much lost my cool there and I went off about all of the issues I was having with he's people. He's answer " I am sorry I wasn't aware of the issues" This shows how unprofessional this company is I can't believe how this people are in business not only in the twin cities but in southern Minnesota."

"I have never used this company, but would give 0 stars if I could, just based on the employees. One employee in particular which sets the precedent for they type of people hired here. I encountered a burly man, with reddish hair (no name tag) at Holiday gas station on 37th. This man watched me from across the room like a weirdo, and some how RUSHED me to knock my entire pop out of my hand. He had the audacity to laugh at me and tell I need to watch where I’M going, bud. I didn’t even move and he rush at me. It seemed so purposeful, there is no way it was an accident. Guarantee he wouldn’t have. had that attitude if I was a white man. He tried to P*** me, saying what was that bud? What you gonna do? When I tried to stand up for myself. And he LAUGHED. I highly recommend to find a different company to work with. Especially if your skin color is brown. Racist. Unprofessional. Should not be employed. Can’t believe people like this exist."

The regulations around whether drain pipe installers need to hold licenses or certifications differ based on where you live and the type of drain pipe installed. Municipalities have varying rules and regulations about who can and can’t perform plumbing work. However, we recommend hiring a certified plumber to install or modify your drain lines. Licensed plumbers will perform a high-quality, professional installation, which translates to a lower risk of clogs and leaks in the future. Use Angi’s state licensing tool to confirm the license status of your potential plumber before hiring them to install your drain pipe.
Plumbers will typically take one to two hours to install a new drain pipe, but that timeline can vary based on the area’s accessibility, the drain length, and the type of drain line. Replacing an easily accessible p-trap under a sink could take as little as a half an hour, while replacing a larger section of drain line behind the wall could take as long as three to four hours. When hiring a plumber for your specific installation, ask them to provide an estimated timeline to get a more accurate assessment.
You might need a permit to modify or repair any portion of your plumbing system, including drainage lines, depending on where you live. In some areas, simple replacements of existing drain lines don’t require a permit. We recommend asking your drain pipe installer or your local building department about permitting requirements. In many cases, only certified plumbers can pull plumbing permits, so you’ll usually need to leave the permit application to your professional. The fee for the permit will be passed to you on your project bill, though.
We highly recommend leaving the work of replacing drain pipes to a professional plumber. Drain pipes are a key part of your plumbing system, and making mistakes during the installation or even using the wrong size pipes for your specific fixture can lead to an elevated risk of leaks and clogs. Additionally, drain pipes prevent harmful sewer gas from entering your home, so hiring a professional plumber is essential to keeping the risk of leaks and clogs low and avoid reducing your indoor air quality.
The cost to install a drain pipe is $600 on average, but the total can range between $150 and $2,000. Some cost factors that influence your project price include the type of drain, the area’s accessibility, the proximity of existing drain lines, and whether you’re installing a new drain or replacing an old one. Replacing the p-trap or s-trap under a single fixture will usually cost around $150, while replacing a main drain pipe can cost well over $2,000.
