"Stay far away from this company. Original project went fine although it was expensive. However the past few months have shown me their true colors as I have tried to get some of the original work fixed. Be aware that they only warranty work for 12 months. We had the only four tiles on the step into our shower crack over the first year and I tried for months to contact them through email. No response. I finally left my name as a new customer, and they immediately called me (funny :)). They then asked for pictures and said they could fix it. I then discovered it would cost $600 to replace the four tiles they obviously installed incorrectly the first time. Correctly installed tiles would not all crack on the outer edge."

"This is the second time we have used Dan. He built us a gym, with a sauna install. We hired him back. He is without a doubt the most reasonable and quality I have ever worked with. He does not try to talk you into things, he actually talks you out to make sure he keeps you on budget. We got everything we wanted, and he built us a bar as well. He allowed us to do a few things to save on cost. He is kind, funny, direct, but open to what you want to do. He wants you to be happy with the end product. His subs are all vetted by him and they were all top notch. My only issue, was the delays with subs, but it is 2022 and we all need patience."

All of the work was first rate and Dex and Mike were both professional and competent. They are very good communicators and I always knew what was to be done next and what I needed to do as well. All of the subcontractors were excellent and treated my property respectfully. Frankly, kitchen remodels can be difficult, but Dex and Mike made the experience as painless as possible. "We hired Bruce Freeman to create a new vision for the kitchen of our recently purchased 1960's home. Our project was complicated by potential structural issues with moving weight-bearing walls and a stairwell. As a former builder himself, Bruce had the knowledge to know what was and wasn't possible structurally. He listened carefully to our ideas about the style and function we had in mind for the space. He then took that information, coupled with his own expertise, to draft an initial design. He thought outside the box and had the creativity to take advantage of wonderful lighting and views in the back of our home and actually flipped the location of the former kitchen and dining room to optimize these assets. He incorporated our feedback to create a final blueprint. We were able to present these plans to contractors in order to get comparable bids from them. Once work began, our contractor and subcontractors found the blueprint so detailed and complete that they were able to use it without any further modifications to complete the project, saving us time and cost. We were thoroughly pleased with Bruce's work and would highly recommend him for your design needs."

"My experience with Handyman Connection was terrible. I will never utilize them again and caution others that are considering them. I had a exterior painting project that was quoted in May 2024 and the project was not completed until late September due to the poor work and damages that were caused to my gutter system that I found after they were “finished”. No workers came and informed me of the damages. So when the worker’s came to me to come and take a look at their work I found half my house was painted in a different color than the other half! Eight sections of my gutter system were damaged and needed to be replaced and my brown garage door was now a shade of purple! To top things 25% of the surfaces that were to be painted and included in the original quote was never painted! I was also not informed of this by the workers and found this out when I questioned them. I spoke to Management about my concerns and there was no rush to remedy the situation and no consideration to reducing the quoted price at all. They also left paint on a number of my windows and door frames and when you have bronze frames and beige paint splattered on them it is very obvious to the eye but no effort to remove those spill/drips. I could go on with the issues that I had but I will end by using a very popular saying “Caveat Emptor” or Let the Buyer Beware! They have some good reviews but I certainly do not have anything good to say about the service and the outcome I had with them. I will say the workers themselves were very nice but that’s as much as I can say nice about my experience."

Tom is honest and direct with the work being performed, the schedule was held to pretty closely (life happens), and the whole job was completed under budget. They work with you on selections and design decisions, and are flexible when there are reasonable changes. Overall, I would highly recommend Wilmes Construction for any future remodeling needs."
