First, he showed up 15 minuts early! while he was waiting for me, he walked around our cabin identifying holes bats could get in. Once I got there, we searched the inside of the cabin for the single bat I knew was inside. He showed me all the places they like to hide and told me many bat facts. Not finding the bat, we set out water for the bat and some traps.Then, on Sunday we found the single bat we knew that was inside. Outside the cabin he used two different ladders to get at all the posisble holes a bat could get in and plugged them with silicone caulk. He talked with me the whole time showing me signs of where bats had been outside. He also told me where to work this spring to plug things up better and what materials to use. He warranties all his work and I would definitely use him again.

No bats have been spotted since. Jody Hoff came out immediately and performed the service after I first called.

They arrived in an unmarked SUV save for somewhat cryptic personalized license plates. After I pointed out where we had seen bats leaving from the helper climbed up on the roof to take a look. I asked Jody lots of questions about bat behavior, varieties, habits and his answers were complete and logically constructed. The man is a true Bat Buster he has developed an understanding of bat behavior that allows him to think like a bat so he knows both where and how they are likely to try to enter a structure. Our house needs to be roofed again due to another hail storm but I wanted the bats excluded before that job is done. The helper disassembled one roof vent and was able to look inside with a flashlight. He verified we had the spot where the bats had been roosting as guano was visible on top of the spray foam insulation. He was unable to see every where to confirm the bats were roosting. Jody said they also might not be and quot;at homeand quot; as this is mating season so if what we had was a group of males and not a breeding colony then the males do not always return to the same place every night. After all alternate entrance points were sealed the one way metal mesh door was fabricated and installed over a single remaining point. Jody and his helper gathered their tools and equipment and left without a trace.

I spent months investigating bats, since I have had two other companies "bat proof" the house already, but it didn't work (one time it cost me almost $1200, by the time it was all done). Jody was incredibly knowledgeable and came recommended from friends that had a really big problem. They have never had a bat since and it has been years. I don't expect to have a problem again either. He also calls his company "Bat Busters." He came exactly when he said would and was done exactly when he said also. I live in the Twin Cities and he came down from St.Cloud, so he does service a wide area. I just loved him! He spent a lot of time explaining things to me because I was really upset to think I could be sleeping and bats would be in the room. He returned my call on a Sunday. That was great since bats don't necessarily take weekends off. All other services made me wait until a weekday and then took their time getting back to me. The price will be higher or lower than mine, depending on each case.
