I just think they did what they said they were going to do and I like the results. I guess the only thing would have been if they had told me upfront that I needed to have someone handle the carpeting, so I had to do that later and they didn't leave quite as much rug as I wish they would have had, that was of a little bit of challenge. I think they did a good job. They recommended somebody to do the carpet finishing, the guy came out and finish it up okay so we had to kind of an alternative but the results are very nice. I like them. They were very responsive. They arrived when they said they were going to be there.

Outstanding service! Quality was excellent. The provider stayed on schedule and showed up on time. Estimate was accurate and there were no hidden costs. Provider and service staff were friendly and gave wonderful tips related to the project. Provider operates a family owned business with many long time regular staff, so we felt very comfortable having their workers in our home while we were at work. We strongly recommend this provider for any hardwood floor restoration projects.

Floor was in really bad shape so I got quotes from multiple companies. Duane's had the best price by far and I liked they do not use contractors. I was not thinking about staining the entire floor but after how nice the dinning room turned out I decided to. I am so glad I did.

I had contacted Duane's Floor Service because they were highly rated on Angie's List and offered a 5% discount for members. They were easy to get in contact with to schedule an estimate. We had originally scheduled the job in May but had flooding in our basement to deal with, so had to reschedule. Troy and Neva were very flexible and understanding. Troy began the job when he said he would, and did a great job of sealing off the other areas of the house and cleaning up after himself, so the dust from sanding was pretty negligible. He finished the job on time, and the floors look great. Altogether, the job ran from Monday to Thursday morning, we were able to walk on the floors by Friday morning. We didn't have our master bedroom done during this job, but were told that if we wanted to in the future we would get a 5% discount, which is wonderful. Overall, I have no complaints about this company or the work they did and would hire them again and recommend them to friends.

Duane's put in a beautiful birch floor in our kitchen ten years ago. This winter, a water line broke, insurance company tore out the floor. We were out of town for two months and devastated. We asked Duanes if they could replace the floor without us being there. We sent a lock box up. Long story short - we came home to a totally clean kitchen and a stunning new birch floor. We could not be happier! So twice, they did a fabulous job for us.

Troy came out on the morning he was scheduled for and sanded, prepped and even got the first coat of poly on the floor the first day. That was ahead of schedule, and was really appreciated. He did an awesome job of sealing off the adjoining rooms to keep dust from getting everywhere else. The next two days he was back to put the other coats of poly down. The floor looks better than it was when it was new, and I'm not exaggerating.

The floor refinisher showed up as scheduled and did an excellent job on the floors. The work was detailed and carefully done.

It went really well except he didn't finish the floor under the refrigerator so I have to call them back though they were very good. It's a really good floor.

After measuring for the estimate, he told us he'd email the estimate the following day. It never came.

The job was started on a quick time-scale and completed within the expected amount of time. The installer was professional.

Our entire first floor (2000 sqft) has hardwood flooring. 5 years ago we had Duane's Floor Service do a complete sanding and refinishing. They did a great job so when a couple of rooms (200 sqft) needed some repairs we called them again. The kitchen floor had some bad scratches from my attempt to repair a couple of loose boards and the office floor had some raised grain that created some splitting. They came out for an estimate, arrived on time, and suggested a simple 'buff and coat' which is a light sanding and varnishing with a little extra attention to the heavy scratches. We scheduled a work date for a week later. He came out at the scheduled time, did the repairs and put on the first coat of a commercial varnish which he said would hold up better for the kitchen. He did ask to leave for 2 hours while the varnish dried so he could finish another job, which was okay with us since both times we've used them, they have been very professional. He did come back as promised to put the second coat on the kitchen. Originally he had expressed some concern that the kitchen scratches might be too deep to get a good repair, but the the floor looks great and it's impossible to tell where the damage was. He also put a second coat on the office floor which was not included the original estimate since the total sqft of the job was small and as a thank you for letting him go to the other job. All in all we are very pleased with the work performed and the service.

Neva was great to work with, and knew what I wanted better than I did! After a lot of exploring, I ended up going with her original suggestion, and I love it. They also did an amazing job of working with my ever-fluctuating schedule. When another contractor shifted his timeline and affected their work, Duane's did what they needed to do to make sure that the affect on our household was minimized. Their work is top notch, too!

Went grat, they fixed areas that needed repair and the floors look great

I left a message on Monday and unfortunately did not get a call back until Wednesday. By that time, the other company I called on Monda had already come out and provided a written estimate (they also came highly recommended to me). I was actually out of town when Neva returned my call on Weds, but she did follow up a second time as well (I was still out of town and actually have not called her back since I have already arranged to have the work done). She seemed very polite and I appreciated the second call. . I would certainly call Duane's for an estimate on any future work I have done- I had nothing but rave reviews from my colleague. He was very impressed that the patch job where the radiator had been was so good that they actually couldn't tell exactly where it was.

Duane was very pleasant --- his office manager not so much. They were not going to take up and replace baseboards so additional base would have been needed (but not in quote). They were over 25% more expensive.

They had to reschedule the original estimate day cause another job went longer. We had to call them to get the price, and to set up a time to do the work. the floors looked good but not as good as i thought they would. The 10 boards they patched cost us an additional $200, which I thought was excessive. The installer didn't vacuum up any of the dust before laying the varnish.

They did a wonderful job. When we went out of town the floors looked terrible and when we returned the floors looked great. They sanded, put two coats of varnish down and then laid down material to protect the floors in quite a big area.

We were very pleased with Duane and his professionalism. He truly cares about his work and is a real craftsman. He was attentive to all my questions and addressed any and all concerns we had. Neva in the office also was great to work with and offered advice as we needed it. When leaving our job Duane had to turn and take one last look at his creation and admire the new look. It was great to see there are still those who take pride in their work! We would highly recommend Duane's Floor Service to anyone.

I don't remember how much we spent on their services, but it was a fair amount. They did a very good job on all the floors. The floors were cuffed and the wood was curling up a little bit. It's been two or three years and the floors still look really good. We haven't had any problems. There was an option for them to do the extra dust suppression or collection where they use a vacuum to suck up all the sawdust when they are doing it. They did a really good job too of keeping all the dust out and keeping the dust from being on the walls. We did the work based on the recommendation of a couple of people we know that used them. I think their price was a little more than some people, but they were very good value-wise. They were quick to respond. We actually left town for three days so we wouldn't have to live in the house with all the dust and the noise. We would use them again in the future.

Overall the work was done very well. They also had replaced my master bedroom floor several months ago and did a great job. They did delay my work by one day due to some other work that required more time, so it stretched out over a weekend, but the work was done very well.

They did a great job rigging up a fan and plastic sheeting to the window to blow the dust out during sanding. The dust was kept to a minimum in the house. After sanding and vacuuming they applied the filler. They sanded and vacuumed again after the filler dried. They then applied the stain and the first coat of polyurethane. When I inspected it that evening I discovered that filler was missing in some of the cracks. The technician explained that it must have bonded poorly and had been sucked out with the vacuum. He should have seen that himself and reapplied it prior to applying the finish. He did apply more filler before the final two coats of poly and it has held up well and still looks nice. Sanding is a two step process. A hand sander is used along the edge of the wall and a large drum sander is used for the rest of the floor. A slight waviness is visible in the transition area between where the two different sanders were used. The floor looks nice and it is not a major flaw, but I have seen refinished floors that did not have this. They did a very nice job cleaning up after a very dusty job. In summary, they did good work at a good price. They were very responsive to our calls and questions. When we pointed out the problem with the filler they graciously fixed it. We would recommend them and plan to use then again ourselves.

This was an insurance claim job. The company was great to work with. Neva was very nice on the phone. The estimator was very informative in what to expect and quick in measuring. There was also a small area that had to be patched. The results are excellent.

Duane's did an excellent job. My 120 year old house has quarter sawn top nailed wood with lots of inlays and medallions. Several floors had been covered with multiple layers of glued vinyl. I removed the carpets and vinyl and Duane's came in and sanded and refinished the floors. Their work is superior. They are perfectionists who made sure everything was done absolutely right. It was a complicated job in that some of the original boards had warped and needed replacements as well as some of the inlays which needed to replaced and recut. In addition, the wood was very thin and could not be sanded as aggressively as a typical hard wood floor. Duane's took care to make sure that they did not sand through the wood and the results were spectacular. In addition, they were very clean. Everything was put away at the end of each workday and there was no dust to clean up after the work was completed. I would eagerly recommend to Duane's to anyone and especially those that have older floors.
