Colliers Pest Control
"First off, since they were sold to Rose, they insisted to charge for spring & fall springs in the spring. Second, the prices went way up. Third, we had more spiders after the spraying. Fourth, when I called and asked them to come back (Colliers would always offer this at no charge), they said the biology of spiders is too difficult to really guarantee anything. I will never use them again. Horrible."

"I am super disappointed with this company. They say they stand by their 2 application preventive house spray but if you need them because their preventive spray did not protect against ants, you will be put on a schedule for when it is convenient to them & the weather. I have been living with ants all over my kitchen for 2 weeks now (gorgeous weather… but they couldn’t fit us into their schedule). Today I was supposed to get help, finally, & it rained this morning so they canceled my appointment (NO rain this afternoon!) so am now pushed into next week for “IF” it works out. Meanwhile I have blown money on this company thinking they would take care of us as they have done for the past 8 years. Going on 3 weeks with ants in our home is not taking care of us. They say there is nothing they can do but they are wrong. You take care of your long standing customers & don’t shove them aside."

"Damien provided great service and was great to work with. He worked 2-1/2 hours and sealed several entry points where the bat may have entered. Included minor material costs. There was no clean up of bat droppings inside, so we were told that there didn't appear to be an infestation. One year warranty. $1,567!! Enough said."

"The owner Jesse and his team assessed the job and spent the late day and evening to ensure the job was done right. My wife and I prior to Jesse, had bats above and four mice trapped. It was time to rid them from our home permanently. Jesse spent time prior to the work to fully explain in detail. He and his team were professional from start to end of the job. I highly recommend Jesse and his team. The total price may seem expensive at first, yet, worth every dollar. They use technologies for bat proofing unlike others. Bats, Bees and Mice are good and Jesse stands behind his work."

"I called these people last weekend because we thought our daughter may have been bitten by a bat. We had a bat a week before, but hadn’t seen it since. All I wanted was to trap the bat if it was still around. The woman I spoke with said it would be difficult to determine if the bat was still there and trap it if there wasn’t a nest of them in the house. She suggested that I get an exclusion inspection, said they have openings this week and she could have someone call me to set an appointment. She also took my credit card number. Today I got a an email receipt for a $150 dollar charge for the inspection and shortly after got an inspection report. I never received a phone call to schedule the inspection as she had stated, and nobody even knew the guy was here. Had I been able to talk to the person who did the inspection I would have cancelled it because they had no intention of catching the bat, they just wanted to get paid to send me an estimate for thousands of dollars for the to make some changes to my house that they would hope would keep future bats out. What a ripoff!"

Different pest control methods exist to help mitigate an infestation. Not every technique will work with every pest, which is why speaking with a pest control expert is crucial to taming your problem. Different methods of pest removal include:
Heat treatments
Freezing treatments
Traps
Barriers
Chemical pesticides
Fumigation
Rodenticides
Mechanical devices
Repellants
The cost of pest control is $175 for the average homeowner. However, you could spend as little as $100 or as much as $500 or more, depending on the infestation size, the number of visits you need, and the pest you’re exterminating.
For example, if you need to rid your home of spiders, you’ll likely be spending between $100 and $300. However, if you have a termite problem, you can expect a bill of $230 to $2,500 or more, depending on the infestation size and damage caused.
There are specific methods for pest removal that you can DIY without hiring an expert. If you are preventing pests from making an appearance or clearing out a small infestation of harmless insects, you will likely have success on your own. However, if you’re dealing with pests that eat wood, bedbugs, or other pests that carry a disease risk, like rodents, it’s always worth it to call a pest professional to help you.
Even if you’re not immediately showing signs of pests, it’s a good idea to get into the habit of routine pest control. This should be done yearly, quarterly, bi-monthly, or monthly, depending on your location and if any signs of infestation are already present. For example, if you live by water, you might experience more pests in the spring and summer than someone who lives in a dry climate. Discuss treatment options with your pest professional to determine a suitable schedule for you and your home.
While not every infestation is preventable, there are some actions you can take to minimize the risk of running into these pests in your home. These actions include:
Keeping your home tidy. This includes vacuuming regularly, sanitizing your kitchen, storing food in airtight containers, disposing garbage regularly, and keeping your home clutter-free.
Deep clean at least twice a year. Deep cleaning neglected crevices and corners of your home can help prevent breeding grounds from forming.
Repairing your home when needed. If your home has cracks or holes, you have an open invitation for pests to come in. Remove any standing water and seal any gaps in your floors, walls, and foundation.
Cleaning up your yard. Keep shrubbery and branches well-trimmed and away from your home. Remove fallen leaves and other debris.
Be smart with storage. If you use firewood, store it away from the home (at least 20 feet away if possible) and off of the ground.
