I called these people last weekend because we thought our daughter may have been bitten by a bat. We had a bat a week before, but hadn’t seen it since. All I wanted was to trap the bat if it was still around. The woman I spoke with said it would be difficult to determine if the bat was still there and trap it if there wasn’t a nest of them in the house. She suggested that I get an exclusion inspection, said they have openings this week and she could have someone call me to set an appointment. She also took my credit card number. Today I got a an email receipt for a $150 dollar charge for the inspection and shortly after got an inspection report. I never received a phone call to schedule the inspection as she had stated, and nobody even knew the guy was here. Had I been able to talk to the person who did the inspection I would have cancelled it because they had no intention of catching the bat, they just wanted to get paid to send me an estimate for thousands of dollars for the to make some changes to my house that they would hope would keep future bats out. What a ripoff!

Helped us locate and removed a dead raccoon from under deck without having to tear out deck.

All work was completed as outlined in the contract. The home is now bat proof. No evidence of bat activity at this time.

Trevor spent a little more than two hours working at our home. First he made a visual inspection of the property. We discussed where the pests were getting into the home and what he was going to do to eliminate them and their entry points. He was very knowledgable. He explained what his company's focus was for us - eliminating the pests before they enter the home and not baiting inside the home. He then worked on sealing gaps with caulk and mesh ($200). He then set 6 bait traps around the house and the garage along with some glue traps in the crawl space and bilko door. ($300). He then sprayed the area for ants and bees ($275). This might seem expensive, but my wife and I were very happy and satisfied with the work.

The representative was on time and very professional He explained what he was going to do before getting started. After the inspection he recommended 5 traps, and sealer to prevent entry. He had a quote ready on site, and was finished in about 1 hour. After 2 weeks there have been no signs of rodents in the house, and the traps have caught a chipmunk and a mouse

I met with the owner, Ken, and one of his sons, Parker. Both of them were very knowledgeable about the product and application. They are sensitive to environmental issues and owners' perspectives. Only pests were harmed in the making of this story. :-) The initial application was on 7/28 and they sprayed a non-repellent that the ants would cross over and carry back to the nest. They not only sprayed around the house but at hot spots close to the house such as tree bases and bushes. It dried within 2 hours and was non-toxic to my dogs at that point. This application was $225 and they guaranteed their work. The next application was on 8/11 and they sprayed a repellent on the ENTIRE outside of the house including eaves and ridge vents. The cost for this was $275 and again they guarantee their work through the 1st snowfall. Next year, they will come back in the spring to spray the repellent for $275 and they guarantee it for the entire season. If I have any problems with ants, wasps, spiders or other creepy crawlies before the 1st fall snow, they will come back at no charge to fix the problem. They will also be getting certified and licensed in the near future to work on lawn applications in addition to structures. I know $275 a year sounds like a lot, but there are no, none, zero, zip, nada contracts and when it protects a $100,000 or greater investment, it's a really good value. (Cheaper than management fund fees.) As long as they are in business and as long as I live in northern Michigan, I fully intend to have Hogarth's spray my home every year.

Excellent service! Hogarths treats our house every spring with. Good results. We experienced a recurrence of wasps last week. We called and they responded the next day and retreated at no cost to us.

Prompt, professional efficient and effective

I believe that they did a good job. I suspect that the results will be good, but it will take some time to determine the results. Hopefully we will see less and less evidence of the presence of the ants.
