+ -1 moreI faxed a request on 05/13/2015 for a quote on installation of an exterior French door. I received fax confirmation via email, also on 05/13/2015. On 05/14/2015 I followed up with a phone call, leaving a message which included my phone number. Unfortunately, I have not received any response to either my fax or phone request.

Description of Work: We purchased 2 storm doors and an entry door and had Dick install them. I am very particular when a person does work for me and Dick made sure I was happy with the end results. I would definitely recommend him to anyone that needs work done around the house. He is super friendly and takes a lot of pride in his work. I was unhappy with how one of the doors was hanging (a result of such an old house). And he went above and beyond to make it hang perfect. I will be using him again for any projects I may have. My next project will be replacing molding and doors. I will be contacting Dick when I decide to start .

Description of Work: I purchased two Anderson 4000 series storm doors through Home Depot for my front and back doors. I had gone to Lowe's first for similar doors (by a different maker) but their estimate was very high because they specified custom size storm doors. I love my house, but it is a modest thing, and I thought paying for custom storm doors would be spending too much. So I went to Home Depot's Clarks Pond, South Portland, ME location,and explained the problem to Ed, at the door desk. He suggested having Dick Baillargeon, the owner of D&D Woodworks, go to my house and take measurements and see if he could find a way to fit standard doors into the door openings. For a modest adjustment fee ($110.00), Dick was able to fit the standard storm doors to my door openings. I signed the paperwork with Home Depot on the afternoon of 12/30/10, it was uploaded to him that night by Home Depot, and he came to the house with his assistant Ben the next morning. He is very prompt. The doors both look great and have functioned well for almost two years. His work was so good, I wrote a thank you about his work to Home Depot and sent him a copy. Pricewise, I paid $235 less than the Lowe's estimate. I want to install a French door in my kitchen, and I plan on asking Dick to do it. Bernadette Pesce

+ 0 moreSince I had just recently worked with Dick Baillargeon from Dand D Woodworks on another project I asked him for a quote on installing interior window trim on my recently installed new windows. Since the window jams were not installed properly he had to research how to workaround the current installation. He spend a fair amount of time researching the problem then outlined a couple of ways we could go about installing the window trim. The two options were discussed and I had time to think about it with no pressure. The real point is that I had a choice! I was able to choose the option that was the least disruptive for me. Dick also offered to help me stain all the trim before it was installed so I wouldn't have deal with staining in every room (new carpet and paint) after the job was done. He was very flexible and easy to work with. He continually was checking in to make sure we were on the same page. He installed all the window trim in one day (it was a long day)! He was very neat and respectful of home. The new window trim looks great! I was very pleased with the entire job! I would definitely hire him again!
Description of Work: I needed interior window trim on 9 new windows. D&D Woodworks stained and installed wood window trim (2/12 in colonial trim) and some baseboard trim in one bathroom.

+ 0 moreI purchased a storm door from Lowe's and Dand D Woodworks installed the door. The storm door was a 3 way security door that need to be installed correctly to work properly. Dick Baillargeon from Dand D Woodworks did an excellent job of installing the door and also took the time to show me how to work the door locking system. He was efficient and very easy to work with.

Description of Work: This company installed both 2 glass doors on my breezeway and a new sliding glass door in my home in 2 seperate jobs. Both times thye were prompt, professional, and did great work with perfect results. I was very pleased both times and will definitley use them again with no hesitation. They are very attentive to detail as well.

+ 0 moreD&D was the contractor used from one of the large home store chains to install storm doors I bought there. Dick did a really nice job, and paid attention to detail. He spent the needed time on the job to do it right. I hope to use him again for a few other projects in the near future.
Description of Work: Dick installed two storm doors for us. Both needed the door frames to be custom fit to accommodate the stock-size doors.

+ -1 moreAll work was done on time with particular attention to detail and customer satisfaction. They were on time, did what they said they would do and despite the unexpectedness of the project, D&D Woodworks made it a very pleasent experience.
Description of Work: I had to remodel a bathroom from the studs up due to mold. Dick preformed all the necessary removal of building material , fixtures, etc as well as putting in new insulation, walls, fixtures, and ceilings. He made sure all the necessary subcontractors were of the highest quality and that they were at the house when they were needed and that all the work was done properly and on time. All the subcontractors he used were professional, friendly, and highly skilled and I was very pleased with all I came in contact with and all their work. This was an unexpected project that came out beautifully and I am more pleased than I can tell you with the results! Gorgeous!
