"They sent me a text asking how the move went from 1 – 5. I texted back 3 and they said “Thank you for your response!” Not; How could we have made the move better or anything like that. They were just fishing for ratings. Here is the scoop. We moved my mother in law’s stuff about 2 miles from her home to a storage shed in Denham Springs with the intent of loading her stuff up later to move it into her apartment in Texas when she got one. When I went to make the move to Texas there were a few pieces of a bed frame that were unwrapped and they insisted on wrapping them and some of the other furniture at a cost of $179. I informed them that All My Sons had already wrapped and moved this stuff and we already paid for wrapping. Furthermore, one of the movers that showed up for loading was one of the original movers that moved the stuff into the storage shed in the first place. Then there was confusion about where they were loading the stuff in the shed. I had already rented a one-way U-Haul to bring the stuff to Texas. The movers called someone named Austin and explained to him that All My Sons had already wrapped the furniture and moved it into that storage shed in the first place and that I didn’t want to pay for the wrapping again. Austin was a total idiot about the whole situation. On hindsight I should have just told these clowns to get lost but I went against my better judgment and had them load the U-Haul. They made me pay for wrapping that I didn’t need. Then a discussion about loading the stuff into my truck instead of theirs ensued. This took about 45 minutes for them to straighten out and then they made me pay in advance for the loading of the U-Haul. Sadly, when I got to Texas with the furniture that I paid to have wrapped twice I found some of the bed frame unwrapped. I called about the situation and asked to have the money I paid for wrapping for the second time refunded since some of it was still unwrapped. I was forwarded to Jared. He agreed to refund the second charge for wrapping. He said that it would take 10 business days to post back to my account but it never did. I called him back three times. The first time he said he had processed the refund. No one answered the second time. The third time I spoke with Jared again and he told me he would look into it as soon as he returned to the office and call me back. He never called me back. I disputed the charge on September 5th. On Nov 5th the dispute was resolved in my favor. This took an enormous amount of my free time. In addition to that, my ratchet straps were tied in knots. A ratchet strap is a pretty basic moving tool. It takes about 30 seconds to learn to use one and these clowns didn’t know how. I would recommend that you steer well clear of this company. They have a high rating because they text you to ask how the move went and if you say 5, they will text you a link to rate them. It’s a really mediocre company. Their customer service is an F. Don’t say you weren’t warned"

The cost to hire a professional junk hauling service ranges from $60 to $600, averaging about $270. Your final price is determined by the type of junk, amount of junk, the distance to the dumpsite, and the equipment required to move and haul your items or materials. Keep in mind that construction junk removal is more expensive than hauling household items, so expect to pay $800 for removing large piles of debris.
Contact your local municipality to request garbage collection services. In most areas, your local city or municipality manages garbage collection, which contracts a waste collection company to do trash collection and other garbage collection and disposal services. However, if you can’t wait for the next trash collection day, you can also contact a local junk removal service to come and haul away your garbage. Confirm with any junk removal companies what items they will take. If you’re renovating your home or have a lot of garbage to get rid of, consider renting a dumpster.
A 20-yard dumpster is the most common dumpster rental size, which typically costs about $275 to $700 per week. This size is most common because it’s likely to have enough room for a wide variety of projects from large spring cleaning, home remodeling, or new construction. A 20-yard dumpster can fit in most residential driveways, avoiding the need for permits to keep it in the street. Just be aware that having a dumpster delivered on your driveway may cause scratches, cracks, or scrapes in your pavement, as well as needing to find another parking spot for any vehicles.
Ultimately, your needs may vary. It’s usually a good idea to err on the side of renting a larger dumpster than you might need.
A garbage collection pro or junk removal company can typically take anything from a single item such as refrigerator to the entire contents of a house or out-building being emptied. One exception is disposing of hazardous waste (like bleach or used oil), which is typically handled by your municipality. Check reviews, references, and qualifications of any company you hire to collect garbage. Ask what the company’s limitations are, what tools and equipment they use, and their availability.
Dumpster rental costs about $390 per week, on average, depending on the size of the dumpster and the material you’re disposing of. The price range for dumpster rental can be as low as $80 per week and as high as $850 per week for a larger commercial-sized container. Typical dumpster rental price ranges include:
Dumpster bag: $100–$200
Residential dumpster: $100–$300
Trash or junk hauling service: $150–$400
Roll-off dumpster: $200–$800
