I contacted Window World of Indianapolis to replace 5 windows in my dining room. I had used them before to replace 11 windows in my house and absolutely had no complaints about the service they provided or the windows. The 5 windows were the last of my windows that needed to be replaced. Overall I was very pleased with the work. The installers did a great job. I had a problem with a blind that had to be rehung and the installer "Reggie" came back today and went above and beyond what he needed to do. He is an excellent installer. He is very detailed and conscientious about his work. This is my second time using Window World and I am very pleased!

I ordered windows on April 5, 2014. Today it is July 16, 2014. I still have not had my windows installed despite the fact they came in well over a month ago. I was left a message over a month ago to schedule an install. I returned the phone and left a message. No call back. I left another message and no response. I called a third time and spoke with someone else and finally got an install date. I took the day off for the install. The installer was late and did not install that day. I had to schedule another date for install. I spoke with the lady that never called me back and told her how frustrated I was with her and that she had not called back. I explained how I took the day off to be there for the install. She never apologized but did reschedule. She said they would be at the house between 9 and 2 pm. I said that was not acceptable as I gave up a day. She guaranteed me that they would be there between 9 and 11. At 11:30 I spoke with the installer. He told me he was never informed of the guarantee of 9-11. After speaking with him, I called Window World and spoke with a lady. I again explained my frustrations. I was told she would leave a message for Jeff, the owner. He has since never called. The installer showed after 1. At that time it rained and the install never happened. The installer worked out a time with my tenant to do the install the following Tuesday and/or Wednesday. He took her contact information. On Wednesday the lady I spoke with left me a message to schedule a time. I called her back and left her a message with the person answering the phone. I never received a phone call back. I called my tenant and the windows were not installed nor did the installer call. I’ve spoken with the installer; he admittedly never called my tenant. Today I sit here horribly frustrated. I have a tenant who has given up her time. I've given up my time. I've paid for half of the cost. My advice to you, don't use this company. Your sanity and time is worth more than the money you'll save.

I previously stopped in showroom to look at windows and made an appointment for an estimate. Estimator was prompt, even a few minutes early to our appointment. He called about an hour before the appointment time to confirm appointment. He was very professional, dressed in labeled work shirt, answered all of my questions and left me with a written detailed quote/estimate of work to be performed. No pressure to sign contract whatsoever. This was one appointment of a few to obtain estimates. We have not yet made a decision on who will perform the work. However, this appointment went very well.

Windows were not installed properly. It was so bad, ice formed on the inside of each new double pane, low e window. On top of that, all of the windows leak air, and the owner Jeff will not fix them. Eight months and counting, and the windows still leak. Window World will not return a phone call or fix the problem.

We have removed all exterior trim, insulated again around windows, installed all new trim around windows and re caulked windows.Customer had doubts that her windows had Lowe glass so we provided customer with factory Build confirmation with each windows serial # showing all options purchased by customer were installed on her windows. We are confident that the windows and install are performing properly as designed. We are also eager to resolve this issue and welcome bringing in a neutral third party person such as a Home inspector agreed upon by both parties with both parties present for a inspection. I had no issues and they did a good job. The installation went like it was supposed to. He honored a bid that they gave me over 3 years ago with absolutely no price increase. They also have a lifetime warranty on the windows which was included with the installation. They were very responsive and installed the windows in the freezing rain so that I could have it all done before the first snow of the year.

Our overall experience was great. We requested to have someone come out to give an estimate and they were able to schedule this in a very timely manner. We went ahead and placed an order the same day as the estimate. My only complaint is that no one called us to let us know our order had come in. We were told it would take 4-6 weeks for them to come in, so after 6.5 weeks I called the office to check in the status and they were already in. Aon-site employees were friendly and no non-sense. They called when they were on the way and were prompt. We are very pleased without windows and are happy to be able to open them in this nice weather!

Overall experience went very well; the only bobble was in getting check cashed, but once I called and they fixed the issue, everything else went smoothly. Had to reschedule one time due to weather, but on the day of install the team arrived at about 3 pm and was complete, including clean up, by 7 pm. The crew was polite, professional, and were careful of the dogs not getting out when they came in and out of the house, which I appreciated. The windows appear to be good quality and look great.

I HAD NO PROBLEM WITH THE INSTALLER WORK OR THE THE WINDOWS THE QUALITY OF THE WORK WAS GREAT. THE INSTALLER SAID HE HEARS THESE COMPLAINTS ALL THE TIME BUT HE IS JUST THE INSTALLER I WAS TOLD THAT I WOULD PROBABLY BE DEALING WITH THE OWNERS SON WHO HANDLES THESE NUMEROUS PROBLEMS. Unfortunately, my experience with Window World has been less than satisfactory, to say the least. I ordered my windows in February, and it’s October with only partial install. I understand things happen, but their communication is atrocious. They have been out to measure the same windows six times, and drew a template two of the times. (Each time requiring me to take time off of work.) Everytime, I wait 4-6 weeks with no update, call to get a status and once someone finally calls me back, they say there's an issue with the factory, and they're trying to work it out. When they told me they'd call me back on a certain day with an update, I NEVER one time received a call. I always had to call them. Like I said, I understand things happen, but at least communicate. Call and say still working on it, nothing new to report. Just do what you say you will do. I think Window world would be fine if you're just having standard windows replaced, as they did do a decent job on the windows they did install, and they seem to be good quality. But, if there is any type of special curve in the window that isn't part of a "standard" stamp at the factory, they obviously can't deliver I have asked for a refund and will look to one of the top ranked installers to come do my front windows. I'm sure it will be twice the cost, but at least I'll have my windows.

The windows were installed on August 12th, and the seem to be ok. I recieved my invoice from wells fargo and it does not reflect any discount, and the monthly payment amount that was discussed is not accurate. The arrangements that I discussed with window world was 12 months same as cash with a payment below $70. I recieved the staement yesterday and the payment is $107. I called Window world again and talked to a lady and she took my number and said that they would call me back. I did not hear from them so I called again the next morning (aug. 27th). I was told the same thing. After explaining that I was told the same thing yesterday she assured me that Sally would get in touch with me. I did not wait for Sally to call I called Bill, the gentleman who sold me the windows, and he said he would get in touch with Sally and call me in the morning. Bill did call me this morning (Aug. 28th) and said they could get payment lowered but I would have to pay intrest rate of 7.9 percent. I am so upset! Sally also has finally called me and said that they will give me a refund of the price of one window. well I got three different size windows so I really do not know how much is going to be refunded. I have more windows that i will need to have installed but Window World will never do any work for me again. Very unprofessional receptionist, very unprofessional in setting up installation of windows, they do not communicate in a timely fashion. I feel that for the frustration that I i have gone through that I should not have to pay for the labor, and that I should not have to pay for the window that cost the most.
Description of Work: On May 1st 2013 we arranged to have 3 windows installed at our house. the contract stated that they would start the work in 4-6 weeks. I had to contact Window World because after 6 weeks because did not contact me. When I called on or about June 12th I was told that my windows were in and we set up a date to install the 3 windows that I ordered, the date that the windows were to be installed was July 26th. I had to change that date due to a conflict at work to the 29th of July. I cannot remember the exact date but it was in maybe mid July that I got a call from Window World and they asked me when I wanted to have the windows installed. I told them that I had already called and set up to have the windows installed on the 29th of July. They then checked and apologized and said oh yes we do have you scheduled for the 29th of July. Window World then called me on July 26th and said that my windows were not in yet and would not be in until sometime after August 12th. I was very upset because first I had to contact Window World, second they told me my windows were in and even set up a date to install, and thirdly I had to schedule a day off of work. I called the gentleman who came out and sold me the windows , his name is Bill. I asked him what was going on, and I expressed to him how upset I was. I talked to him on July 26th and expressed my displeasure, he told me that he was going to talk to "Sally" and that they would make it right. I had to call back on that Monday (July 29th) Bill because I did not hear back from him and he said that he talked to "Sally" and he did not know how they were going to make it right but thought that they were going to take $200 or $300 off the price. I am suppose to have the windows installed today (Aug. 12th).They said that it would take 1 day and they gave me a time between 9am-2pm .

WE ACTUALLY PAY A FEE TO THE FINANCE COMPANY FOR EACH CONTRACT THAT IS FINANCED. DUE TO THE SCHEDULING ISSUES EXPERIENCED WITH THIS INSTALL WE HAVE EVALUATED OUR SCHEDULING PROCEDURE AND HAVE MADE SOME MAJOR CHANGES. WE CANNOT ADJUST THE FINANCE BALANCE, HOWEVER I DID MAIL A CHECK TO THIS CUSTOMER IN THE AMOUNT OF $570.00 FOR INCONVENIENCE. THIS WILL COVER THE $31.00 PORTION OF THE PAYMENT THAT HE WAS UNHAPPY WITH FOR ALL TWELVE MONTHS OF HIS PAYMENTS AND HELP WITH HIS FINAL PAY OFF AT THE END OF THE 12 MONTHS. I would definitely use Window World again. I talked to several companies first, and Window World was by far the cheapest. This was key for me as I am flipping a house in a rough neighborhood where nicer windows would not boost re-sale. The did such a good job that I would consider using them on my personal residence in the future. I wasn't sure what to expect since they were the cheapest, but these were very nice vinyl windows. They were A's across the board except on timeliness. I ordered the windows on 4/20/13, and by early July, I had heard nothing back. I was told it would take 3-4 weeks to get the windows in and then they would call me to schedule the installation. I really wasn't in a rush to get the windows as I had a lot of other repairs to do at the house, but I called in early July as it had been almost 10 weeks by that point. They confirmed my windows were in (how long I wondered?) and scheduled an appointment.

After we signed the contract, the salesman indicated that it would be 4-6 weeks. Our install date was 7 weeks out, but that was no problem. The crew came when they said they would. We had to do minimal removal of window treatments. A crew of 4 came at 9:30 and they were done by 12:30. All work and the crew were very professional. All work was done from the outsde of the house Workmanship and quality appear to be top notch. My wife and I are very pleased. For us, it is nice to have the Window World office less than a mile away and were promised that, if anything breaks, etc., they would replace the problem component.

The initial contact was very quick and on time. I liked the salesman and the product was very impressive for the price. I placed an order for 17 windows and was told it would be 4 weeks from the date of order to completion at the factory. I asked the salesman specifically if the windows were cleaned upon installation and was told yes, that was standard. The "D" grades were given because of these two undocumented statements. I should have asked for the cleaning to be on the contract and I would question the timing between factory ready and install. In this case it was to be an additional 6 weeks. I found the people I dealt with to ALL be very pleasant and polite, but I was the one to initiate all contact after the order was placed except for collecting the balance due. I had to call to get the installation date and when they told me 6 weeks more I explained to them (as I had explained to the salesman) that this was an investment property and the only thing keeping me from putting it on the market were these windows. The original 4 week estimate fell exactly into my time frame and that had gone over to six weeks already. They were able to move the install up 2 weeks which was not ideal but better. So order to install- 2 months and an additional month to actually complete the project. On the date stated for installation, I once again had to make the contact with them when no one showed up at the scheduled time. In fact it was 3PM. They stated that the crew had to finish a previous job and would be there to start by 5PM and then finish by the next day. Which they did. Then I received my first call from them. Of course to collect the balance due. I had been unable to be there the day installation was completed so I told them I would like to check it out first and they were fine with that. Upon inspection I found the windows were all installed great but not cleaned. Being under pressure to get this house listed I cleaned 16 of the 17 windows but could not reach the one in the vaulted foyer. While cleaning I did find one damaged window. I called them and requested a replacement pane for the damaged window and for someone to clean the one window in the foyer. I stated I would pay the balance after these items were completed. They were very nice about it and said they would order a replacement window (4 weeks) but they typically did not clean the windows. So, in the end, I listed the house and sold it in 10 days. The closing occurred before the replacement window was delivered and they took it to the new owners, but the foyer window was never cleaned. I will definitely use this company again, though, next time I will get it in writing about the cleaning and I will be prepared for 2-3 months from start to finish. I never felt they were trying to cheat me but I did feel they were very nice people who were poor communicators.

We installed 3 windows in a rental for this customer. We had some delay scheduling the install, unfortunately, we have no control over the weather, especially during the winter months. Called and had a salesman come out and give me an estimate. He was very curtious and professional explained in detail the process. It would take 6wks. and someone would call and make an appt. In 6wks the appt. was made. Oct. 1st they were to be installed and all the window treatmeants were to be removed prior to there arrival. I recieved a phone call on Sept 29th one of the installers had to have emergency surgery and they rescheduled for Oct 5th. On Oct. 5 there was a huge storm and I called they said they couldn't be installed because of the weather. So again resceduled for Oct 9th. so this is the 3rd time I have removed all of the window treatments. And I have my grandbaby from out of town. Planned on having this all done before she got here. The salesman told me half would be paid up front and the other half on completion of installation. That Tuesday they made the appt for 9am. So I'm up with the baby waiting on the installers. 9:30 no one here and no phone call? I call and they said they would be here at 12. 12 O'clock and no one here, 12:30 no one, 1:00 no one here so I call again and they said they would be here in hour and a half. So I laid the baby down for nap and of coarse they show up. The installer said the salesman missed a window. So they have all of them but one. They installed the windows they had and I told the installer I wasn't paying the other half until I got my window and I wanted to talk to someone. Installer said no one was in the office at that time and I would have to call tomorrow. I called and explained the situation said I wanted to talk to someone in charge and that person said they were in charge. This is the person I had been communicating in the first place. I asked to speak to someone above them, they said that would be the owner and they would have them call me. I have made 3 more phone calls. My credit card was charged for the balance without my authorization, the owner has still not called and I don't have my window.

There was a delay in installing the last window due to some unforeseen circumstances, but we have installed the last window to the customers satisfaction. I had to call the installers back and they came back and did a satisfactory job at redoing them. They were cheaper than the other places after about 5 or 6 different quotes. They have a lifetime guarentee.

Bill, the estimator, came out immediately and gave us a bid that was half the price of the pushy competitor. There was no needing for both my wife and I to be home during a bid and listen to a 90 minute pushy salesman. In 15 minutes he had the bid for us and in a few weeks the work was completed. The crew that came out to do the installation was very professional. Window World's pricing and professionalism can't be beat. I have recommended them to at least 5 of my customers since I am in the window cleaning business.
