John was very thorough. The day I was supposed to meet him at the house, he had shown up early and had a lot of the inspection done before I arrived. Then he spent a couple hours just walking around the property with me... pointing out serious issues, things that I would want to watch out for and interesting points about the house. A couple days later, he mailed us a binder with very comprehensive info regarding the inspection. I really appreciated his honesty and candor. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend John to anyone!!!

He spent 3 hours at our house and presented a written evaluation. He was prompt in being here and impressed us with his overall professionalism. His prices were reasonable, it was $235 for 3000 sq ft. I liked him well enough to have him inspect the house we want to purchase.

I was very, very satisfied with them - he's very thorough, he doesn't just run in and run out.

We had a very short period of time to find an inspector and look at the house, and John was easy to reach and able to arrange to come when we needed him. He arrived on time, and was extremely thorough, explaining everything as he went. The report arrived by email the next morning, complete w/color photos illustrating everything of significance in the report. His fee was a little higher than another inspector (who couldn't come when we needed him), but it was definitely worth it.

He did a great job. The report was first rate with color pictures from a digital camera included. That was really helpful in coming to an agreement with the existing owner.

He was very pleasant, and used shoe covers when moving about the house. He was right on the money with the things we asked. He was very pleasant, and even wrote us a thank-you note. He sent pictures of everything we'd talked about with explanations.

John was extremely friendly, knowledgeable and passionate. He found several major problems with the home, which included an active leak, termite damage, and improperly installed siding. We are very hands-on and he even accommodated our request to check out the crawl space with him. Had it not been for his thorough inspection, we would have been in over our heads with this home. We backed out of the offer on the house and are relieved to have found this before closing.

John was very thorough when inspecting the home. He explained everything in detail and answered all questions I had about the home. He seemed very experienced and knew the area very well. Since he lives close to the location where the home is he even explained the home owners association and what to expect from them when I first move in. I also had a mold test performed and he had top of the line equipment. I received those results in a timely fashion. He also emailed me the complete report on the whole house with everything written in detail, including photos. For a few of the issues that came up about the house, John gave me quick fix tips and also mentioned people close in town that would do the repair work. He worked me in his schedule on short notice which I appreciated. I would definitely recommend John to perform anyone's home inspection, he is much more personal than working with a big company (which I have done in the past).

It was awesome. John took the time to answer our many questions and the report that he gave us was very complete and precise. He even took the time to meet with us the next day to go over the report in person!

I called on 11/28/06 and the inspection was performed on 11/29. Mr Kidwell was very friendly and courteous. He performed a thorough inspection of the entire roof, including inside the attics. He took digital pictures. Later that afternoon I received the inspection report and photos by e-mail. I greatly appreciate the efficiency of his service.

Service far exceeded my most optimistic expectations. I am so thankful that, of the five inspectors I spoke with, I chose Mr. Kidwell. As usual, I found that doing business with a small business results in quality work - no large companies with their higher prices, slower communication, and sometimes less attention to the quality of their service. I WILL absolutely recommend Mr. Kidwell to anyone and everyone. AAAAAAA++++++++!

John was on time for the inspection and spent close to 3 hours going through the home. This is a first home purchase for me and John. He spent a lot of time explaining to me what he found and made suggestions for easy fixes where possible. John also stressed to me what items he felt were crucial for repair before the purchase. He emailed me the report the next day and came by my workplace (for my convenience) to bring me a 3 ring binder containing the report along with other helpful items regarding the neighborhood, home maintenance and change of address cards for moving. John was very easy going. I felt certain his main concern was ensuring I understood fully the house I was buying. John's pricing was extremely competitive compared to the other 5 companies I called for estimates.
