"Starting with the estimate (which was comparable to the other estimates I got), Gibran spent more time discussing exactly what I wanted and needed: the old walk was narrow, did I want it widened; squared off or rounded out where it met the garage slab; raising the back walk slightly to eliminate the extra, shallow step at each end; and most usefully, how to work around the 100 year old catalpa, that had lifted and broken the old walk, between it and the house. We ended up adding a curve to the walk, just by the tree, giving it extra space without disturbing the existing tulip bed on the other side of the walk along the house. He and his crew worked quickly and neatly, and did a very nice job. The new walks meet the city sidewalk and garage slab evenly, the curves are smooth, the tree has room, the tulip bed and ivy along the house weren’t disturbed, and now it’s much less of a pain to shovel snow than it used to be! As a bonus, landscaping was not part of the contract, but Gibran found a source of black dirt for us, and when there was a delay (while waiting for the city inspector) after the forms were in place, he and his crew spread the dirt needed to regrade the yard for us, rather than just sit around. I’m very pleased with the work they did for us, enjoyed working with Gibran and his crew, and would definitely recommend 5 Star Concrete & Construction."

Troy is 3rd generation in this business and has been doing it his whole life. He has put together a great team with Bill and Jim and on the final day, after the 3 of them removed the old driveway, they brought in two more guys Ernie and Sebastian, and the five of them finished the driveway perfectly. Exceeded all expectations. I would certainly recommend Richards blacktop if you need a driveway replaced. 5 Star!"
