Loveland Home Solutions is a residential service company specializing in electrical and plumbing repairs. We are family owned and operated and maintain a work load so we can be responsive to your needs in a short time. We have been in business for over 50 years serving the St Charles and St Louis Counties areas
"Consistent, professional, personable… No notes! We contracted Loveland Home Solutions to update our aging home’s electrical system. (update panel, install new recessed lighting, add some new outlets, install surge protectors, etc.) Their responsiveness and professionalism exceeded expectations from bidding to work to follow up. Brendin was great at follow up, answering questions and helping us find the best solution for us. Austin and his team were great and respectful of our home and their work precise and thoughtful. They weren’t the cheapest bid in the pile, but the little extra in our mind was WELL worth the peace of mind and confidence to have true professionals on the job. We will definitely use LHS again and whole heartedly recommend them to anyone needing electrical work done. Great job guys - thank you!"

Since 1985, Kirkwood Plumbing has been performing fast, affordable, and high-quality plumbing services to homes and businesses in St. Louis and beyond. Our licensed and certified plumbers believe that quality workmanship and clear, honest communication makes all the difference, which is why you can count on us to always deliver honest recommendations, unmatched service, and 5-star customer care. No job is too big or small for our skilled plumbers, so whether you need seamless installations, remodels, repairs, or replacements, our team can help. From designing and installing your dream kitchen to replacing an outdated water heater and everything in between, you can count on our plumbers to exceed your expectations at every turn.
"I cannot recommend Kirkwood Plumbing/Mr. Rooter anymore after my experience. I called because the copper pipe on my water heater (I believe the temperature and pressure valve) would leak when we took a shower. The plumber they sent was very nice and told me that he discovered the issue was a failed PRV. He said that when multiple faucets ran at the same time, the pressure was reduced and that meant the PRV failed. I even asked if this would fix the leaking copper pipe on the water heater and he said yes. He quoted me $785 to replace and although that seemed a bit high, I agreed. He left and got the part, came back and replaced it. Well, when he was done with that replacement he said he “looked closer at the water heater” and actually my expansion tank had ALSO failed and was mostly water when it should be air. Only he just looked and discovered this after doing $800 of work??? And oh the pipe between the water tank and expansion tank had been leaking at some point but was not now. He recommended a new expansion tank and replacing that pipe section. He quoted me an additional almost $700 to do that job!!! And told me that the leaking from the water heater would not be fixed until he also did this. He said he thought the PRV had failed causing the expansion tank to fail and he would need to go out to get a new expansion tank too. He apologized for not realizing that sooner he said. This is completely unacceptable. At this point I’m essentially held hostage by your company to complete the job as the already $785 would not have fixed the leak as told. I told the plumber it’s disappointing because if I knew it was a much bigger issue I would have likely gotten other quotes, and in addition, I don’t feel like I could really trust him or the company at this point. I agreed to do the expansion tank for an additional $271 and would wait for the pipe to be fixed since it was not currently leaking and only showed signs of leaking in the past. I will never again use this company and will make sure to spread my experience. While doing some jobs you may discover additional issues, this wasn’t the case here. All he had to do was test the expansion tank (which is apparently a common failure for temperature and pressure valve issues) BEFORE starting the job and give me a quote for the actual fix. Not do an expensive job saying it will fix the issue and then saying that it wouldn’t fix it after. He even said it was his mistake. Again, he was very polite, but it is completely unacceptable to essentially hold your customers hostage halfway through a job saying the first fix wouldn’t even fix the problem, after doing it. I’ve since learned that the expansion tank should have immediately been tested for this issue and that it was rather backward to check the PRV first, as the expansion tank is often the culprit in these cases and that considering he said that it was mostly water rather than air, it would have been easy to diagnose. As for the PRV, with the water off it maintained 60psi and dropped 10-20 points when two faucets were on, which I have since learned may also be normal operation and not needing replaced. I’m not sure if this is how all customers are treated or just women customers. My advice is do not use this company. They respond quickly but will gouge you and not provide upfront pricing. He could have saved himself two trips out (making this take much longer) as well as given me upfront pricing had he just “looked at the water heater closer” the first time- you know the apparatus I called them out for in the first place. Offering “upfront pricing” is clearly not something they do. I now feel like I paid $785 for a service I did not need when I really just needed a new expansion tank and could have paid for that/fixed that without replacing the PRV and checked to see if that fixed the problem. I even told him I did not have pressure issues. Beware for unneeded services at a high cost and not adequately diagnosing the problem or even investigating until AFTER finishing unnecessary work."

Family owned and operated company since 1954. Quality workmanship is one of our best qualities. Excellent customer service. With over 50 years of experience in the HVAC industry, we are confident we will meet and exceed your expectations. Our quality and attention to detail are unrivaled by the competition. We have served the residents of St. Louis with three generations of Vitts, and are raising the fourth. Our longevity is a testimony to our service and clients' trust. We have an excellent rating with the BBB and are N.A.T.E. Certified technicians. One major difference and benefit of our company is custom duct fittings. Custom fittings give your unit a longer, more reliable shelf life and a professional looking installation. Just ask to see our before and after pictures and you'll see the Vitt difference! Also, NONE of our employees are paid on commission, and do not get bonuses based on sales. What does that mean? That guarantees that we will not try selling you something you do not need. Only if your system is non-repairable, or at your request will we suggest purchasing a new system. We will not have a "salesman" show up at your door whose main objective is to sell you something. We are there to make you happy and comfortable, that's it. NO SUBS. CHARGES BY THE HOUR. NO TRAVEL CHARGES. ADDITIONAL CHARGE FOR AFTER- HOURS SERVICE MAY APPLY
"I'd give zero stars if I could. Made an appt for 12:00-4:00 with me getting a call from the tech Coll Mcminn around 3:47 saying he was on his way and will be 35 minutes. He said that before he comes out it would be $125 just to come out and then another $275 to diagnose the leak in my system. So $400 just to find the problem. As we continued talking I got the feeling like he was just done for the day and was trying to talk me in to getting a quote for a new system so he wouldn't have to come out. I told him the system is 15 years old which isn't that old but he said it was probably in the coils which would require replacing half the system anyway. I only called them because they moved my AC line a few years back and was thinking it possible that they didn't do that properly to begin with which could be the source of the leak. The PVC work that they did was faulty and they had to come back to fix that. Not a great company if you ask me."

Jarvis electric is a local family owned and operated business. We take pride in performing quality electric work at a reasonable price. We have over twenty years of experience in the electrical field. Honesty and integrity are two qualities we believe help to build a successful business. At Jarvis Electric we are building relationships, one job at a time. Update: We are currently not servicing East St. Louis.
"Jarvis Electric did all of the electric for our new build and has come back to add additional items that we have added since we have been in the home. Super responsive and quick to complete all requested work. Top notch service. Extremely reasonable price. I appreciate that they always keep a clean worksite and never leave a mess, even if coming back the next day to finish a job. I have not only used them for my home but referred them to my mom and dad as well when they needed work done. Great company with great people and really easy to deal with. They truly went above and beyond."

In business since 2005, you can rely on us to provide you with comprehensive heating and cooling services. Our locally and family-owned and operated business has over 25 years of experience in the industry.
"Installed new AC and heater unit in April 2023. Had used Garrett prior as I found them reasonably priced. After the install, numerous safety/code violations were found when the unit was inspected. Among them were not adding a safety drip pan under the furnace, not installing a coil condensate drain correctly, running a flexible gas line into the furnace cabinet (a code violation), not terminating the electric correctly (a code violation), leaving exposed wires on the AC unit outside. The new owner claims it's not his responsibility to fix these issues. I'd steer away and go with someone that wants to back up their work (sorry, it's your work if you buy the company). Update as of 01/15/2025 Response to review and company response Jan 2025. Company DID NOT come out or even reach out to me regarding this. Tape and duct work repairs? When did you come to my house? Shows how dishonest this company is. Stay clear. Only excuses from this company (for example. we bought our business in 2024, not our problem!)"

"Anytime Heating and cooling was awesome. I called to see if they could come out to see what was going on with our furnace. It was the coldest day of the year! Our home is over a 100 years old and the furnace was once a coal furnace but converted into gas. It needed a part replaced. No other HVAC company had any experience working on our type of unit, but Anytime knew exactly what to do! We are so grateful for them and will continue using them as long as we own our home. I would definitely recommend them for your HVAC needs!"

One starting point to find a local home builder is to collect suggestions from friends and neighbors. However, it’s still wise to do some more research before you hire a builder. Read reviews to supplement any word-of-mouth recommendations. Check sources like Angi that have standards and criteria in place to screen the pros it lists can also help you find more reputable local home builders.
Yes, most states require plumbers to be licensed, and for good reason. Hiring an unlicensed plumber could lead to poor quality work, costly future expenses, and potential code violations.
As you browse our pro listings, take note of the “Angi Approved” badge. Angi Approved businesses meet our standards for certification which include:
The owner, principal, or relevant manager passed a criminal background check
Required to have applicable state and local licenses
Maintain an average star rating of 3.0 or better on our network, if they have at least one review
Paying to advertise their services
Meeting any other eligibility criteria required by Angi
Keep in mind licensing is different from certifications. A license is a legal requirement to operate a business, while certifications are voluntary.

Qualified, licensed electricians will charge from $50 to $100 per hour. The cost to hire an electrician for emergency visits may range from $100 to $200 per hour because this urgent service usually takes place during off hours and may require an electrician to leave or reschedule jobs they’re currently working on. Scheduling work on holidays or during periods of high customer demand, like after a major storm, will also lead to higher rates or extra fees.
