Butte Fence Inc., is a trusted company serving Idaho, eastern Oregon and northern Nevada. Started in 1995, we sell and install quality custom fencing to add privacy or enhance the beauty of your home and property. We take pride in providing outstanding customer service. Our knowledgeable sales staff and trained installers are always focused on your satisfaction. From our fabrication plant, we can customize your fence and fill most orders within two working days.

"Half the job was done correctly. The side that was flat they installed correctly. The other side had a retaining wall. Big gap (dogs can get out) on that side under one panel because they did not drop down with the retaining wall (Per the Builders inspection) and just installed the fence straight across. Got the run around from the Juan, the project lead and then was forgotten by Ben, the salesman who said he was going to come out with the installation manager. Weeks go by and I heard nothing. I then hired another company for $2700+ to fix their error. I emailed Ben of my disappointment and he finally goes out to my property unannounced the next day after the email and makes excuses and some ridiculous fix of adding another rail under the fence to fill the gap when he initially said a transitional panel needed to be installed and the post dug up and re-installed. I do not recommend this company. Anyway"

All Trade Construction Inc. is a full service residential and commercial building and remodeling company with 25 years experience. Our main focus is customer satisfaction.

"I highly recommend All Trade Construction, which I found here on Angie's List. Bob is the contractor for All Trade, and he was excellent and thorough from start to finish. He built a new detached two-car garage to match the style of our 1950s mini ranch house. He put the time in to give us an accurate estimate for his bid--i.e. like calling the plumbers who replaced our main sewer line to see if the garage project would require moving its location and thus unforeseen extra $$$. And the time he put into the estimate paid off because his bid was quite competitive compared to some of the others we received (which ranged from $20,000-$40,000 in the winter of 2019). This thoroughness of Bob's also meant that the project had few, unexpected additional costs. Once we had the contract signed and the permit ready, Bob scheduled his sub contractors promptly, and then entire garage was done within a few weeks. Basically, Bob ran a tight ship, and throughout the process he communicated what was happening and when it would happen--like deliveries or sub contractors showing up and when. He was also at the job site, practically daily, inspecting the work. Then at the end of the process, Bob cleaned up the job site himself and raked out the gravel around the concrete slab's driveway / apron to make it more tidy. One last relevant detail: after the job was complete and paid for, I painted the exterior to save costs, and in the process, I noticed a bowed stud causing a bump in the wall. I asked Bob about it, and he said that he would make sure it was fixed. I didn't have high expectations, given that his framers were so busy with summer construction season underway. But within a few weeks, Bob himself came back and fixed the bad stud.... That's the kind of work Bob did: detailed and honest. Thank you, Bob, for a great new garage!"

Dock building and repairs FAQs

The most significant factor in knowing whether to repair or replace your dock is the extent of the damage and its age. If you have minor cracks on a few boards and the dock is less than 15 years old, it'll likely be worth repairing the damaged part. However, it's time to replace this essential water feature if you have significant damage, such as rotting wood in multiple areas, warps or cracks in the dock supports, or a damaged foundation.

Docks can last between 20 and 30 years, provided regular maintenance has been performed. Upkeep tasks like staining your dock annually to prevent water damage, repairing broken elements quickly, and using dock covers regularly will help extend your dock’s life. Your dock is likely nearing the end of its lifespan when it shows signs of rot, rust, and foundation damage.

The cost of repairs to your dock depends significantly on the severity and location of the damage. For minor repairs, such as replacing bumpers or patching a few cracks, you can expect to spend $100 to $800. For more extensive repairs, such as replacing decking or dock reinforcement, the cost increases to $800 to $2,000. Consult a local dock repair service to determine the estimated cost of your dock repairs.

Ideally, it's best to stain your dock once per year. Applying stain doesn't just keep it looking nice and new; it also helps extend the dock’s lifespan. Since you want to ensure water levels are at their lowest, it's best to have this project done by a professional dock repair service in the cooler autumn or early winter months.

The cost of a new dock can range from $3,000 to $30,000, depending on the extent of the project size, location, and additional features.

For example, a boat lift can range from $1,000 to $8,000. The ladder you'll need for your dock can be anywhere from $100 to $800, not including installation. In addition, the decking you'll need for your dock can cost between $15 and $30 per square foot.
