In 1976, Energy Air started as a humble air conditioning company operating in the garage of Robert French. Just four years later, Chuck Kulp joined the company and the two expanded their operation to a small warehouse space that doubled as the company’s office. With the team’s hard work, loyalty and dedication, this small operation has developed into a thriving company with multiple locations, several hundred employees and annual revenues in excess of $50 million. Chuck Kulp had a vision of a one-stop, full-service firm that integrates every aspect of the client’s needs. From pre-construction planning, through fabrication, installation and ongoing planned maintenance and service, Energy Air can do it all. Family values, a commitment to the community and its employees, along with the highest appreciation and respect for its clients is what Energy Air is all about. For more than 35 years, the Energy Air family has been involved in the community and active in numerous associations and professional organizations. The family-style approach to business has taken Energy Air from the early days of running the company out of a garage to the thriving business it is today. Since its inception, Energy Air has gone through several expansions and has increased market share in both residential and commercial markets. The company has broadened its services, grown its team and even moved into new locations. In 2010, Energy Air was named the Best Place to Work in Orlando in the large company category by the Orlando Business Journal. Chuck Kulp credits the family-style approach to business with the company’s continued success. And as Energy Air has grown, so has Chuck’s family. Today, many of those family members have become business partners. From his three sons to several grandchildren, you will see the Kulp family name appear frequently on the company’s organizational chart. And just like in a traditional family, shared values have contributed to the company’s success. Completing projects correctly and efficiently while providing excellent customer service has been the driving force for the Energy Air team. Their involvement in local trade organizations that support the industry, and their dedication to developing and maintaining relationships has been a key element to the company’s growth. In recent years, Energy Air launched its own in-house school complete with a three-year curriculum that trains employees on all aspects of HVAC. They have been the recipient of numerous awards for their safety program and have achieved monumental goals set by the leadership team. Description of Work: The initial visit was good. He was on time and professional. The estimate that he gave us was incomplete as he said there would most likely be more cost when it came to the zoning of variable speed unit. After our other estimates we narrowed it down to them and another company. We asked for the exact cost of all the work. After a week of waiting for a response we decided to go with another company (which is the one we were leading towards). Energy Air contacted us a week and a few days later and apologized.

Bill was a knowledgeable salesman. He returned all calls as promised. Energy completed and sent in all paperwork for utility company rebate and manufacturer rebate and warranty. The two workers who did the installation were courteous and relatively neat but when they finished, the unit would not cool and they could not determine what the problem was. That evening after 6pm, another technician came to the house and after a half hour, was able to get the new unit to cool properly. He also set up the new electronic thermostat and made sure it was operating properly. They should have sent him in the first place.

THEY WERE VERY GOOD. THEY DID A BEAUTIFUL JOB. IT WAS ALL VERY PROFESSIONAL. IF YOU CAME AND SAW WHAT THEY DID, YOU WOULD KNOW WHAT I AM TALKING ABOUT.

OVERALL, I AM VERY HAPPY WITH MY EXPERIENCE. THEY INITIALLY ALSO INSTALLED A NEW THERMOSTAT THAT WAS DEFECTIVE. THEY CAME BACK THE NEXT DAY AND PUT IN A NEW ONE. I WOULD HAVE GIVEN AN EXCELLENT FOR THE QUALITY OF WORK EXCEPT THAT WHEN THEY REMOVED THE OUTSIDE COMPRESSOR TO THE STREET, IT LEAKED OIL THAT KILLED A FEW SPOTS OF GRASS AND STAINED THE ROAD WHEN IT WAS LOADED TO BE CARRIED AWAY.
Description of Work: I HAD A NEW CENTRAL HEAT AND AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM REPLACED IN MY HOME. THEY INSTALLED A NEW CARRIER UNIT.
