They had come, they've done the job, we paid off and final, it's closed. They were prompt, very focused, got the job done, did a neat job, cleaned up well and I'd use them again. I think it went well. There was one minor material delayed that wasn't able to be produced as they had hoped but that is back about 2 days and they went and worked some place else. Their price was very competitive. It was the second most attractive contractor we were looking for but actually, we ended up making the decision not on price but on timing and duration of the job. They were very close and competitive.
Description of Work: We found R & R Company. They removed some old disintegrating cracks and replaced it with new material and extended one deck by about 3 6 square feet.

My late mother's house was built in 1892. There had been several additions and upgrades to the property before she bought it 12 years ago. There was extensive dry rot and insect damage in the wrap around front and back porches, their roof supports, the house underpinnings, and portion of the living wall. This was identified by a pest inspection I requested as part of putting the house up for sale. Mike's bids were reasonable and detailed. Due to financial issues, Mike worked with me, completing work as funds became available. Additional problems were discovered during demolition and each was addressed with a full estimate for the additional work needed. Mike kept me informed each step of the way via email and phone calls. I live 1 1/2 hours drive away and could not be present to manage the project on a daily bases. Due to the age of the house, there was no way to bring it up to current code. Mike suggested additional underpinnings and bracing be added to reinforce the structure. This was made the house much more sound and eliminated most of the floor squeaks. Despite a February of unusually snowy weather, the work was completed on time and within budget. Mike bought in the necessary trades people needed for interior and exterior paint, flooring and electrical. This work was also completed in a timely fashion and on budget. During the whole house inspection only few items were called out. Mike took care of them quickly and the repairs requested by the buyer were not extensive or expensive. Mike kept me informed during the entire process, dealt with me patiently as I panicked along the way, the project cost what I expected and was performed professionally. I'd work with him again in a minute and would trust any tradespeople he recommended.
Description of Work: Mike Reed oversaw the extensive termite and dry rot repair needed to put my late mother's 109 year old house on the market. In addition, he located and oversaw the work the necessary trades people (Interior and exterior paint, electrical, landscape) corrected all items called out in the house inspection and anything else I needed. He was attentive and patient during a very stressful time. The end result was a "pig's ear turned into a silk purse". No one thought the house would end up looking this good. The house sold for full asking price in one day on the market. I'd use him again in a minute.
