Description of Work: They cleaned up yard, planted perennials , and mulched. They removed debri for me. I was quite pleased and plan to use them again. The owner,Joey, was very personable and his two employees were professional and really showed a willingness to please us.

Description of Work: We had JC Smith LLC remodel our master bath and make some upgrades to our guest bathroom. The workmanship and craftsmanship were excellent and I can't praise them highly enough. Their workmen are skilled professionals and made excellent suggestions over the course of the project. However, the schedule didn't go as planned. What should have been what everybody agreed should have been a two-week job ended up taking six weeks. If/when we use them again, I would ask for a consideration clause in the contract, stating that if the job was not completed on time, the cost would be reduced by a certain percent/certain period of time. At the end, however, we have two beautiful bathrooms and we're very pleased with the workmanship.

Description of Work: Repaired water damage caused by improper installation of a French door and installed a new door properly to prevent future water leakage. This company and it's crew were very knowledgeable and professional. They made sure everything was to my satisfaction. I will definitely call this company again and will refer them to my friends and family.

Description of Work: We have a two story addition that was added to the main part of our house just by sitting it all on wood posts. The posts were rotting and the addition was sinking. They jacked up that side of the house and removed all the rotting parts. They poured a proper foundation with block, dug footers, replaced the rotting wood and had cleaned it all up. The estimate was very detailed and all explained well. The main part of the work was completed in a timely manner. They did a great job dealing with the inspectors. It took awhile to get them to do the finishing touches, such as the final landscaping. The house and the yard looked great when they were done, although there are two places where the wood trim seems missing. More cosmetic than anything, but it seems odd. They never returned to review the completed job with us for us to find out why these two places were left this way. We did contact them, but never heard back. After the major work they did, it seemed nit picking to keep bugging them. When I need a big project done again, I'd call them. And I'd ask them the trim places from this job that still bug us. lol.

Description of Work: J.C. Smith did an excellent job replacing the roof on my sun room. They arrived at my home a day after I called. They were knowledgeable, professional and I hired them on the spot. After that, I had to wait two weeks for an appointment to schedule the work. All told it took over 6 weeks to do a 2 day job and only after threatening to cancel if they could come do the contracted work in a timely manner. I have mixed feelings about Smith Construction. They are good. They are professional, and if you have all the time in the world, they are a good choice. Lesson learned: Put a complete by date into the contract.

Description of Work: We did major renovations to our home including total kitchen re-do (cabinets, counters, appliances), wood floors throughout including stairs and banister, new mantle, a new sliding glass door, and a first floor bathroom. I will use them in the future for all of my major projects.

Description of Work: I called J.C. Smith LLC for an estimate to repair a leaking roof. John was here at the scheduled time and was very thorough. I received a detailed estimate of the work and authorized the repairs. I will meet next week with the general manager, site manager and construction leader to finalize all details and begin work. I was very satisfied with J.C. Smith LLC and would recommend them to anyone needing repairs.

Description of Work: JC Smith LLC , Hedgesville, WV rebuilt two rooms of my house this past winter with excellent results. I am very happy with the work they did in all categories of drywall,framing,insulation, siding,landscapping and even providing stone masons as needed. In addition, they kept to their schedule, provided points of contact for the work project that were always available and maintained a clean and professional work area. Inspectors there on routine inspection even commented on the professionalism of the work down to the smallest of details. I recommend John and Company.

Description of Work: JC Smith LLC has done a couple of things. Most recently he relined our shower.

Description of Work: He regraded the yard so our basement would not flood, and then he put on a deck for us. Our shower caved in and he fixed the shower for us. The floor squeaked and he fixed that for us too.
