Description of Work: Put in a new furnace and air conditioner for us. It went very well. the first man we set the job up with was great. They had an opening for the job that day and we went ahead and did it. The actual guys that came to do the job had a little attitude problem with a question I asked but it did not affect the job. Good work done and quick.

Description of Work: It would take too long to tell this story in detail, I will say however after having no heat for 2 weeks during a month of below zero temperatures (said that's how long it would take to get the parts) after waiting 2 weeks for the parts this still did not fix my problem and still no heat, it too them 2 more trips here over 2 more weeks time and then they tell me several different stories of why my furnace still would not work, they then send s supervisor out and after another day of trying to diagnose the problem they now tell me I need another part for the furnace and it would cost over $6.00.00 to fix, so I sent them on their way, called some one else and they diagnosed and fixed the problem on the same day for the cost of $200.00 and have not had a problem since.

Description of Work: Replaced gas furnace, central air unit and whole house humidifier. Second lowest price of 4 quotes from nearby companies. Hendershots seemed more reputable than the company with the lowest quote so I went with them. They offered, and I received, 0% financing for one year. They returned all calls and showed up when expected. I appreciated that they cleaned-up everything when they left. Only complaint is that I had to listen to the installers argue all day about how to do the job while I was trying to work from home. I was concerned that they didn't know what they were doing, but I am happy with the results nearly a year later.

Description of Work: At this visit, they placed some vents from the bathrooms, in the attic, to the outside. They are to return to place some return vents in two bedrooms and work on the even distribution of heat regarding the radiant heat system.

Description of Work: I had bought a home and needed to have the heating and air conditioning gone over to make sure there where not issues. The service man came at the designated time and gave me some very good tips about keeping my systems running well. + -1 moreOur primary Carrier furnace failed overnight on a cold day. The temperature in the house dropped to the 50's. Around 8:00 AM, we called the local authorized Carrier dealer. When we did not get a response and after leaving a message, we called Hendershot, who also services Carrier units, but is located farther from our home. They immediately answered the phone and said that they had a technician on another job about 15 miles from our home. Hendershot said that as soon as the technician finished, they would have the technician come directly to our home. Indeed the technician arrived within an hour. He professionally diagnosed the furnace and discovered that the igniter had failed. Although he did not have the part on his truck, he left and came back within an hour with the part. He quickly repaired and tested the furnace before departing. The only issue we had with the service call is that the technician did not have any billing paperwork with him. We paid him and within a few days, we did receive a copy of the paid bill in the mail. Because of their professionalism and responsiveness to our emergency, we will certainly use Hendershot for all our heating and cooling needs hereafter. By the way, approximately 6 hours after we called the authorized Carrier dealer, they called back. They hung up as soon as I said another contractor had already fixed the furnace.
