Terrific! Allan was in the area and was at my house in under 30 minutes. He was so thorough that I am very comfortable knowing that all my gas appliances are in perfect condition. Love him and the dispatcher whose name I don’t recall but she was terrific too because she got him here!!

On 1/26, the technician came back to install the part to fix the problem I had in my furnace when the technician did the tune up. The appointment was supposed to be at 8am on this day and I was assured I would be the first appointment since I needed to get to work right after the appointment. I waited until 8:30am and called the business. They said he was running a few min late. I waited until 9am then called again; this time I was told he was on the phone with other customers. I asked when he would show up as I was told the appointment was at 8am and I would be the first. They put me online with the technician and he said he was busy with phone calls to other customers and he said he would be at my house in a few min. He didn't show up until almost 9:30am. An hour and a half after the original appointment time. The work was done well but the whole late thing was very irritating and very unprofessional. I won't be scheduling any appointments with them unless I have the whole day open next time.

Mike came out and did very good job. He knew what was wrong and was able to tell me that another provider gave me the wrong information and was going to give me a wrong part. Mike was very nice, knowledgeable, and friendly. He was able to fix the problem right way. My house is so warm and toasty. He didn't even charge me full price because we got to talking. He crawled under my house and checked to make sure everything was right. You can tell he really enjoys his job. Heat pumps do work when the weather is in single digits in northern states as long as you have the right technician. He was a wonderful technician. He knew what he was doing. No hesitation of doing anything, he did exactly what he needed to do. This was the first time that my heat pump was working in single digit weather within several years.

I advise all Angie's List members to avoid the so-called "deals" they keep pressuring us to buy. Hendershot Heating and Cooling is not a bad company, but after paying Angie's List for the "deal" I called the company. Their schedule was so busy that it was nearly a month before they could come to my house. The company should not have continued offering a special deal when they were too busy to schedule the service customers had already paid for. I was left with a poor opinion of Angie's List and this company, which is probably not fair, but a circumstance of this so called "deal." When I needed my furnace repaired last month, I used a different company. They charged only a few dollars more than I paid for Angie's List's AC service deal and the technician spent far more time on the job.

The first time was good but within a couple of days our fan which they came out to repair started making a huge noise. So we turned off the air conditioner and called them to come back out and they had not come for week. When they finally came back, they were able to fix the problem. There were additional charges apart form the cost of the big deal. They should have come back right away when we called them.

On-time, polite, friendly, efficient. Told me exactly what he was going to do, then showed me his work. Awesome!

They missed their appointment as they had recorded the wrong phone number. They would not come back for a week. We have a broken furnace in the middle of the winter. Obviously they don't care.

All this service provider did was doing a visual inspection and he tried to check the gas pressure which he said was little high, but he couldn’t adjust it because he wasn’t familiar with my furnace. They didn’t offer to fix it, reach out to me, or even bother to ask how services went. They told me to call Angie’s List to get a refund.

Gave lower ratings for punctuality and professionalism because they called me twice to reschedule the appointments. The first time they called to cancel was the day before the appointment and said they made a mistake and didn't have someone working on the day of my appointment. Then they called on the day of the rescheduled appointment to reschedule again. I would have cancelled at this point but had already paid for the service through a coupon on Angie's List. I would have also given a worse rating for this but was told on the second rescheduling it was a medical emergency. I'm guessing they only have one person working for them? I didn't have to take time off work for this but you can imagine how you'd feel if you had now used two personal days to be off work and they're now wasted. Anyway, I did get the service on the third try and he even called me the day before the scheduled appointment because he was able to come that day instead. He was very friendly and pleasant to deal with. He seemed to know what he was doing and gave suggestions. So the service itself went well and I'll probably use them again. I'm hoping their scheduling issues were just a rare occurrence.

They came when they said, the price was as quoted and they cleaned up and took away all the debris from the old furnace. |They did a wonderful job for me and worked me in as soon as they possibly could.

Service man called about fifteen minutes before he arrived at my home, was very thorough, professional and personable during the whole appointment. I would definitely call them again.

Not much informational, but got the feeling that we are ok and got the inspection certificate.

The tech was great. Knew what the problem was and what needed to be done to fix it. The only issue i had was there was a delay in getting the parts needed to fix the problem and it took a little longer getting them then the tech told me. (it would have been nice if the office could make a call or send an email starting the delay and reason). Over all very pleased with the service.

I would call them again. I had called another company on Sept 10, 2013 and they have yet to call me back to schedule an appointment.

The A/C wasn't kicking on. We called Hendershots, got the appointment for a little over a week later, luckily there were only a couple hot days. The guy that came out was fun to talk to and very knowledgable of his job. Turned out there was a breaker outside we didn't know about that had tripped. He topped of the refrigerant, checked the entire system and reset the breaker. Runs like a champ now!

The guy did a good, quick job. He gave me advice on how to keep the unit more efficient, too.

they have fixed our heat pump twice they always come out quickly and are very knowledgeable

I contacted Hendershot Heating & Cooling last week and told them I was under contract to buy a 17 year old home with original 17 year old central Gas Furnace and Central AC Units. I was seeking the opinion of an HVAC contractor to give me a good idea of the condition they were in and what if any maintenance the units needed. The folks I spoke with at Hendershot were courteous and accommodating. They set up an inspection for me within 5 days. The serviceman arrived on time and gave me all the information I asked for about the condition of the units. When I purchase the house next month I will definitely use Hendershot again for my HVAC service needs. Highly recommended.

My experience was only for an estimate to supply a hybird heating and cooling system for my Mobile Home. They were very professional. On time. Came to the house to see the job, took measurements, supplied all of the estimates that I ask for, which was 4. I had ask for an estimate from more that one supplier so that I could see the name brand versus the not so well known brand prices for about the same system. The quotes that we were supplied with was what I had ask for, but, we had heard from a couple of sources that the furnaces may not be approved for the older mobile homes. We just decided to go with another company because we felt that theother company may have a little more experience working with an old 1970 Mobile Home. The only reason that the company received an A but if it is true about the furnace not being approved for a mobile home, I would have to then rate them a B.

I called around at 9:15 am to several heating and cooling places. Hendershots was the only one who answered the phone, and only one other one even called back (several hours later). The man I talked to was professional, and they sent someone out the same day since I had no heat (and it was cold out). Bill showed up in the early afternoon, made sure everything was in good working order, stayed long enough to make sure his diagnosis was correct (that it was probably due to the excessive amounts of rain, but that nothing was wrong with the furnace and whatever was causing the burning had to burn off), and was polite, friendly and professional. They were honest and forthright, and said if they had to come back they wouldn't charge me for another service call. Bill also took the time to assure me that I was not in any danger, that everything was fine, and that my furnace had plenty of safety switches that would activate if anything was wrong. And if that happened to just give them a call. I would highly recommend Hendershot.

Hendershot's tech's not only showed up on time but was very professional.. he found the problem quickly and fix it just as quick.....their fee was very reasonable, they showed up on time, and treated my property and myself with respect, and repaired the problem quickly.... i would hire them again in a second...
