They're good, Thompson E J and Son, LLC Plumbing, Heating and A/C is excellent. My mother in law called this past winter, lost her heating and cooling system and if it'll be repaired, it'll be dangerous to the point where it couldn't be repaired it needs to be replaced and I called on Thompson E J and Son, LLC Plumbing, Heating and A/C again and they put in a new system for her house.

The two guys from EJ Thompson and Sons were great! They were prompt and courteous. They even went so far as to show us how previous repair people we'd used in the past (we've had this problem with the commode happen many times) had basically rigged up our old commode with modern parts that did not fit well -- hence the leak. The EJ Thompson guys installed parts that resembled the older ones (they even had them on the truck already, so no delay to go find parts), so that they fit in our old bathroom perfectly. I am writing this review several months later, on purpose-- wanted to wait and see how the repair held up. The toilet is working perfectly! We've had it repaired many times over the past 10 years, and this is the first time that we haven't had to call someone back within just a few months. Plus, the price was reasonable. We will definitely use EJ Thompson and Sons again. Highly recommend! Many thanks!

We called them to correct a leak at the top of the hot water tank and a leak in the bathtub faucet. The men were very friendly and corrected the problem, but we were not happy with the service. First, we were not given an arrival time. We were told they probably would arrive the first part of the following week but arrived the same week without calling and almost missed our being home. Second, when repairing the hot water tank, the service person broke a piece and had to go to Lowe's, and I am sure we paid for the time. The tub faucet leak was repaired, but the valves turn the opposite direction. Third, we were not told the price but that the bill would be mailed. It arrived in a couple of days, and we were not happy.

they were prompt and professional. one of the jobs was puzzling but they took their time, talked with me, went for parts and everything works great! Not only were they on-time, courteous, used their shoe covers, but also had a sense of humor. would definitely use again.

CAME IN AN EMERGENCY SITUATION

I could not be happier with the job EJ Thompson did. I am renovating a bathroom in a 1940's house and the job turned out to be more complicated than expected. But they took extra time to figure it out and even fixed a couple of other small things like my outdoor faucet and furnace condensation pump at no extra charge. They did what they said they would do WHEN they said they would do it and never left me hanging without functioning facilities. They came back every day until the job was done. And everyone was very friendly.

AC in good condition; cooling without a problem.

Contractor arrived on schedule and removed old air handler/electric furnance. They were on time throughout the job.The employees were cordial and worked efficiently. They were definitely experienced but were hampered slightly because they were using a truck which wasn't normally assigned to them. Installed a new 15 SEER Heat Pump with a 5and quot; fabric air filter.The fit and finish of the final installation was excellent. Cleaned duct work using vacuum system and compressed air/rubber tipped hose on each register. I noticed the employee did not use saftey glasses.With the duct cleaning, the entire heat pump replacement project was finished in three full days. I had to prod them a little to go ahead and remove the outside unit on the first day and do some prep work for the pad; otherwise the job might have gone into another 1/2 day. Thay had all the necessary equipment and parts to complete the project. The employees removed all old parts, trash and cleaned up any debris before they left. .

When I contacted the company I asked for someone to come clean and start the boiler for me. I am planning on selling the home and needed it functional. The repairman came and did the inspection, found an issue and within 2 1/2 hrs he had purchased the part and it was running. I had never seen anyone clean the boiler before and was very impressed with his cleaning and handling of each piece of the boiler. The issue was a part that had frozen up since I hadn't used it in 3 years. When I received the bill I was very happy that it had not been inflated on time. While the part was somewhat expensive I knew to expect a markup on it. I am very happy with the service I received and definitely will use them again. The company was very kind and professional from the first phone call to the day I paid them. I couldn't ask for better treatment.

In spite of some initial problmes with the parts themselves, I am satisified with the quality of work performed. Their workers were very friendly and did a good job on the installation. The new furnace had a faulty combustion blower which they replaced on the same morning that I contacted them about it.

It went very well. The price was reasonable. They gave me several quotes of different systems and they gave me explanations for the differences between them. We negotiated on the price a little bit. He gave me much wider choices and was better than the other people I talked to. He gave me brochures and different options, which was good. They were very professional. They did it in a little less time than they anticipated. They said it would take 3 days and they did it in 2. He also did a little extra work that he didn't charge me for. They were clean and responsible. They were very good. Their price was very competitive. He quoted me a 2 1/2 ton unit and I asked for a quote for a 3 ton unit. He ended up upgrading the size without charging me. He originally told me it would be $500. The job looked very neat and they cleaned up after themselves. It was a Trane system that they installed. I have already recommended them to people.

The toilet in the laundry room overflowed on the evening of Saturday, February 16, 2013. The clothes washer was emptying and backed up thru the commode. The drain was open enough to just let the commode bowl empty in about 20 seconds. We were afraid to use much water since it could have been the main sewer line that was failing. On Sunday the 17th. I tried to work an auger through the main sewer with no improvement. I called EJT on Monday, the 18th., and they referred me to a drain cleaning company (E's Drain Cleaning) because they could not get out that day to try and unstop the sewer.. I called E's Drain Cleaners and they got out in the afternoon on the 18th. The men from E's made and excellent effort and felt one stoppage clear. They were cleaning up and I flushed the commode about 5 times and the commode started to backu again. E's again used the auger and got out about 50 feet of auger and started bringing back clay mud on the auger head. E's said that this indicated a broken sewer line and someone would have to put a locator and camera down the line to locate the break. I talked with E's men and they said that, if I could not get anyone, they minght be able to work on it on Saturday, the 23. This was too long, and I called EJT early on Tuesday, the 19th. Some one was supposed to come out and take a look. No one showed. No call from EJT, either. I called EJT on the 20th., and was told that some one would take a look. No show, no call from EJT. I called EJT on the 21th., and was told that a helper was injured on the 20 and no one could stop by yesterday. My work ticket was on the truck and some one would be by today to take a look. No show, no call from EJT. Frustrated, I called EJT early on the 22nd. and told them to cancel the order. After the call to EJT, I called Valley Plumbing around 8:00 am. The woman that answered the phone told me they would be in touch in 2 days. Still haven't heard from them as of Sept 5th. Will never try them again. In my opinion, a service related business is no better than their word.

I called J. E. Thompson and two very polite gentlemen arrived approximately 1 hour later, at about 7:00 PM. They knew right away what the problem was, installed a new thermostat, and had my heat back on within 45 minutes. I have not had a problem since then. I would not hesitate to use this company again.

I found this company on Angie's List and chose them based on previous ratings. I rated them A all the way.Once home from vacation, we turned on our A/C but our house never cooled. The repair was scheduled easily and quickly. I didn't get a price in advance but based on other reviews I wasn't concerned. It's been running great with no other problems. There is now a calendar reminder to change the filter monthly.

Their staff is very friendly. They explain things to us. They don't always respond as soon as we call, but we find that with a lot of services.

I pay around $75 to inspect a heat pump. They did some plumbing installation and we paid them around $1000 for that. They are prompt and they are honest. We have always been satisfied with them. I really don't have anything to compare their price to. I have always used them. We have used them for years.

they did great. they have done alot of work for me they are honest .they try to save you money. I would not have anybody else do work for me I have and i allways been sorry.

I called Thompson on Tue. May 31, 2011 and asked that a technician come to my house to check the refrigerant level in my A.C. and to also check out the unit to make sure it was ok. They said they would come to my house on Thursday, June 2. They never came and they never called. I called them again on Friday and they said they would come to my house on Monday or Tuesday. They never came and they never called. That's about as unprofessional as you can get. If they didn['t want my business, they should have told me that when I called them the first time and I would have gone elsewhere. Eventually, I did seek another company and that company came the day after I called them.

These service calls were my first experience with EJ Thompson--very happy with their service. I recommend this company if you have any plumbing, heating or AC problems--reliable and dependable!

They are courteous and answered all my questions. It turns out I didn't need to do any work. I would call them if I had any future needs.
