Description of Work: I had replaced a range hood and a light in the dining room with new fixtures. He arrived on time (actually a few minutes early) and immediately started to work. The work was done correctly, efficiently and he was gone in about 90 minutes. I appreciate knowing that they will come when they say they will and the work is done in a professional manner. I've used this service many times and will continue to use them.

Description of Work: Cleaned out our front gutters...that's all. |Very good service. Very much overcharge. |They add a service call charge and some sort of "van equipment charge" which the service person who did the work told me covers things in the service van they "might need". Ouch! |Wrote to them about my complaint and never heard back. |I could not recommend them!

Description of Work: The fellow showed up on time, quickly addressed the job and left with promised estimate to be delivered in a few days. He did call me a few days later. His estimate was $4000.00 higher than the next highest. A ridicules price for the work to be done. I will never call them for anything as I feel they are blatantly attempting to gouge people trying to get some legitimate home remodeling work done.

Description of Work: After 2 emails and 3 phone calls in June to the national estimate request email, they finally contacted me and set up a time for an estimate. Very professional young man, Scott Branham arrived on time from their local affiliate, Mr Handyman Of Kanawha Valley and listened to the job I described. Gave me my estimate that was pretty high for the amount of work I wanted done. Saying he would turn in the estimate and they would be in contact. Here it is 22 days later and not a peep out of them. I read mostly good reviews about Mr. handyman, and a few not so good. I guess I fall in the not so good....and they haven't even done the work or contacted me. Would I have them do the work now?? A BIG maybe. But that estimate and actual cost, would have to come WAYYYY down to make up this lack of attention before I would even consider it. if there actual work is as shoddy as the rest of my exierience....I would for see a lawsuit in the future. UPDATE: 7/27/2014 As you can see a robot, from Mr. Handyman, has generated a response to my review. No addressing of MY problem. No offer to get in touch with me to resolve the situation...Nothing. My next recourse is the Better Business Bureau. 7/31/2014 UPDATE: Today they decided to call me to offer an actual apology instead of that generic robot thing the left on here awhile back. The minute I found out who it was, on the phone, I became disgruntled. Here it is, a month after the fact and finally heard from them, even if it was an actual apology. I promised myself that I would be receptive if they ever did call, until he tried to tell me what I signed was just an estimate. Agreed, it does say ESTIMATE in big bold type at the top of the page. But it also says...and I quote verbatim off of this, " I accept this Estimate, have discussed the scope of work to be performed and authorize the work to be completed." End of quote. Sure sounds like a contract to me. I'll never use them now. I strongly urge other folks not to use them also.

+ -1 moreI was in a rush to get my place in order for a family gathering. they wrer the only ones that could do all that I needed and in the time frame I needed it in. Kevin was great! The work was well done and anything I asked him to do he was very good at. I would call them again if in a pinch. A true handyman experience. One stop repairman. The only down side was the cost. I think it was about $75.00 an hour. A high price to pay for jobs I would have done myself in my younger days. Okay he may even have done them better then I wold have.
Description of Work: placed 3 floor jacks under family room cleaned gutteres, built childproof gate on deck to pool, pressure cleaned and stained pool deck.repaired two gates to wood fences in backyard.

Description of Work: They replaced my back door, removed a very old toilet and sink in the basement and installed 2 windows in my kitchen they also fixed my toilet that was leaking from the cut off valve and replaced the drain in my kitchen sink that was leaking.
