+ 0 moreWas scheduled to come out Friday to clean gutters, but since it was raining and on a metal roof they came back first thing Monday morning. The guy did a good job, the gutters were full of dirt, leaves and weeds. I purchased this house in January and I don't think the previous owners had ever had the gutters cleaned. Kudos to Mr. Handyman will definitely use them again in the future.

+ -1 moreI called contractor for an estimate. Gentleman came out and measured, made an estimate, which subsequently was misplaced somewhere along the way. After getting no estimate sent me, after about a month, I called again, and again gentleman came out and made an estimate. This time it was finally sent to me by e-mail. We thought the cost a bit high, am still trying to obtain other estimates.
Description of Work: No work performed, only received estimate for services so far.

+ -1 moreI called several Handymen, these folks were the only ones who weren't going to make me wait for several days. The office gave me a time window and said they would call as he was coming. There was no call but he did arrive within the time window. The repair was done in about an hour. I had purchased a new one as well as all of the needed parts. The repairman really wasn't that personable. As I had intended to remove much of the stuff from beneath the sink before he arrived, and getting no call to advise of his arrival, I tried to help upon his arrival. He was struggling with removal of a shelf, that I had installed, and I offered to help...no response or acknowledgment of my presence. As he did good work, I can overlook the lack of personality, however.

+ -1 moreMr. David Napier, was the lead on the project and his work and demeanor is superior. I don't remember when I've met a harder working individual. Mr. James Sullivan assisted him on the job and was also a hard worker. The crew is to be commended, as they were not just very diligent with this challenging job, but conducted themselves very professionally. It was so nice that each day they cleaned up before leaving. Day 4 into the job, Mr. Handyman Owner, Mr. Paxton came by to check on the progress. Quality Service from Mr. Handyman!! Thank you very much.
Description of Work: Assessed the problem and provided sound advice on the causes of the problem and what needed to be done to make repairs so that this would not be reoccurring. Removed bathtub, shower surround, vanity, and toilet. Cut out severely damaged floor, replaced and repaired subfloor, installed new vinyl, replaced vanity and installed new tub and shower surround. Had to level the bathtub, as the home is older and the floor was not level. Mr. Handyman readily recognized that this is a single bathroom home and the crew replaced the toilet each night. This was a 5 day job from 02/03 through 02/07/2014.

+ 1 moreDave was fantastic!! He came promptly every day to start work around 8 am. He quickly took the siding off and stained the correct side. When he came back the second day, he pointed out that the new siding didn't stain the same color as the rest of the house (was a few shades off). We were able to get some additional stain to correct the color problem, but most people would have just left it because it was "close enough". We have been looking for a good contractor for the last year, and we have finally found one in Mr. Handyman. Dave is great and we hope to have him out to help us with all of our future projects!!
Description of Work: We had a front porch put on our house last September 2013, and the contractor who did the work (i.e. Not Mr. Handyman) had to add some additional wood siding to our house. The wood siding was put on backwards, so when the house was stained you could tell a visible difference between the original and new siding. Dave, from Mr. Handyman, came over and removed the new pieces of siding, stained the correct side and put them back on.

+ 1 moreThe job was well done, quickly and professionally. Originally I had been given an estimate to replace all my rain gutters for about $2500.00. When the assigned handyman arrived, he quickly reestimated since the gutters did not need to be replaced as they were in good condition. He said they just had to be re-secured tightly to the roof. He proceeded to do so at half the originally estimated cost. I was very happy with his work and his honesty in reevaluating the job. Since the work was done we have had several rainstorms and the gutters are working well and have resolved the problem ofbasement leakage that had developed.

They charged me $128 for the first hour and then $88 for the second hour; which is more than I would like to spend but I don't know who else to call. It must be expensive to do what they do. They did a good job and I was satisfied with what they did. I think my wife had some issues but I am satisfied with their quality.
