Overall he was honest about what he quoted v/s what he was going to charge so I was happy with his service.

Great experience. I contacted this company because of favorable reviews on Angie's List and the experience was as positive as my hopes. Tim answered his own phone and booked me into his schedule quickly. He showed up on time, was very polite and personable. Very personable - you'll feel very comfortable having this guy in your home! Without being full of himself, he let me know about his experience (extensive - I think 25 years, in all areas of the business), he explained the installationt steps he was taking and patiently answered questions, he was quick to finish the job, he cleaned up after himself thoroughly. Everything was fixed to perfection. When the fan was installed in my bedroom ceiling, a couple of bits of plaster shook loose so I needed a slight touch-up with some matching paint. He pointed out the little bare spots (I wouldn't have noticed them), zoomed over the to hardware store to match the paint, and came back quickly with all the materials - no muss, no fuss!. As he was leaving I asked if he could adjust the pendant lights over the kitchen counter - they were always askew because I didn't have the right size ring to hold the bulb in place and my attempts to find the right size part had failed. Again he zoomed off to wherever to pick up what was needed and fixed the lights in a flash within the hour, working this call in around his other appointments. Very helpful! A few days ago I left a message for Tim because the electricity cut out on the pump that moves water over a little waterfall to my pond. He called back within a couple of hours, saying he had been on a job and apologizing for taking so long (say what?). He said he had about 45 minutes before his next appt and could stop over right away, which he did. He fixed the problem immediately, and explained how the gfi button works - easy for an electrician but he still had to come over. No charge - he said, "No, call me when you have a real job!" I will do that!

He was knowledgeable, thorough, professional, and informative.

My husband and I just bought our first home. We used Tim before we moved in to fix some issues that came up in the inspection report. Soon after my dad was going to install new ceiling fans and found an electrical box that was not secure. I called Tim on a Saturday- not expecting a response until Tuesday since it was Memorial Day weekend. Tim called back within 15 minutes and we mad an appointment for the Sunday before Memorial Day. Tim had to go into the attic to fix the problem (it was a really hot day) and after he was able to hang himself from the electrical box- it's going to be secure for the life of the house! Two things I need to say: one, I can't believe he was able to come that fast and two, great price. I have used Tim in the past so I knew he was nice, but this time he met my father and husband who both said he was a great guy. I would recommend Tim to anyone.

He promptly came to my home and spent approximately an hour and helped me to determine what to do about the outlet based on what he found using his trouble shooting equipment. I asked him to bill me for his time but he said that he would not charge me because he did not really replace anything. He did say he could fix the problem and gave me an estimate of how long he expected it would take. Based on his recommendation, I decided that I would just close off the outlet with a cover plate since it is not in a critical area of need.

He responded quickly to our request for a quote, coming to the house to discuss the job and look at what he was dealing with. Once he saw that replacement of the actual electrical boxes with the more traditional 4" J-boxes would be required, he made an appointment to come back and replace one light to see how long it would take to do the whole job. Once done with that, he promptly sent the quote. We hired him and he came back as soon as we had all the lights. While the job took slightly longer than he anticipated (1-1/2 days vs. 1day), he stood by his quote. The work was done well. We would hire him again next time we need an electrician.

I contacted Tim through AngiesList and promptly received an e-mail, and then we chatted over the phone about my needs. He wanted to have a walk through the house to begin the bid process and made arrangements to be at the house at the same time I had a furnace repair person in so that I did not have to find a separate time to let him into the house. Within one day the bid was in my e-mail with a hard copy on the way to my home. He broke down the work I needed done not only into labor and materials but the four aspects of work I needed done. I decided for my budget that I could only go with three of the four aspects and Tim as all about what I wanted to do , no pressure to do more than I felt comfortable doing at this time. We committed to the date to have the work done and when I arrived home early that afternoon, the light fixtures were all up and operating much to my delight. The bathroom outlet ended up being much more of a production then Tim had planned on so he called in a person he works with so as not to disappoint me in the commitment he made to have this done in one day. Tim had one switch left to replace as the day came to a close and had to return today to finish that up and then I had a concern about the difficulty of inserting a plug in the new receptacle and he explained why and then again went out of his way to swap that outlet for another so that I would be comfortable and taken care of. He further explained to me some of the errors of my ways in not shutting off electrical appliances before pulling out the plug and the normal wear and tear this does to the outlet and the plug on the appliance. I asked Tim to leave me business cards because I have other individuals such as myself who are always looking for a professional, conscientious person to assist us with our home improvement projects. I will most certain refer people to Tim, and when my budget allows me to complete the fourth aspect of my electrical project ,there is no doubt in my mind it will be Tim's company, TVC Electrical.

We found Tim very easy to work with. We called him about the job and he showed up on time (actually 15 minutes early) for the appointment. We pointed out what we wanted done and he gave us some additional ideas. A quote was given on line and a time was set to do the work. He showed up for work again, 15 minutes early and completed the job, cleaned up and left. It was like no one had ever been here.

He was on time, kept me informed, clean job, fair price and couldn't have been better, will certainly call him again.

Overall, it was very easy. He looked at the outlets, and gave me his recommendation, as my house is over 50 years old, 2 of the outlets had to have replacement outlets with reset buttons. . He gave me the quote, left to get the needed outlets, returned and replaced them. The dimmer switch in the kitchen was also replaced. Its the 1st time that I have hired an experienced electrician to do work in my house. And Tim will be my electrician of choice from now on!!!

Mr. Tim showed up and presented himself professionally. He performed the work correctly and cleaned up after himself. His fee was very fair for what he did.

After searching through the visible outlets on several walls, Tim diagnosed the problem as the plasterers had mistakenly put a drywall screw through one of the electrical lines. It was great that Tim could not only find this but came up with a solution that didn't involve tearing down the existing finished wall. After fixing that, I then had him do parts of several other adjoining rooms that had never been completed. It was a great feeling to see areas finally getting finished and receiving power that never had it before. I would definitely recommend TVC Electric. Tim did quality work, explained options to me as we went along, and given that I had him stay more than a full day, provided a good value in what it cost me. It was great that he not only could do the mundane, ordinary electrical tasks but could also tackle the hard diagnostic ones. I have another project outside where I'll have him come back before it gets too cold and I've already recommended him to a neighbor!

Tim arrived when he said he would and got right to work. The main job was installing the vent fan in the downstairs bathroom. The best route was going from top (upstairs hall closet) down to access the bathroom ceiling to install the fan and route the ductwork to the exterior. He had to contend with old floorboards- (did I mention this is an old house) -attached with square nails "designed to go in but not out", not to mention that his working space was hardly spacious - more like tiny. After getting the fan in place, the ductwork went in and he cut a hole in the bathroom ceiling and completed the installation - and it looks absolutely beautiful - what a terrific job! Next he tackled the outlet and the exterior light. (I think compared to that fan, they were relatively easy jobs....I'm just saying .. at least the work spaces for those items weren't 2' x 2'!!) Tim cleaned up every speck of dirt, dust, etc. No one would ever know that installation work had been done in the house. Spic and span! (Actually, the closet is cleaner now than it was before Tim did the work!) I'm very, very pleased with the jobs. Tim's very personable and professional and whenever we have electrical work, we'll be calling him exclusively.

Excellent. Tim showed up in a timely manner and helped us with ideas and suggestions before giving us an estimate. The work was done on time and when scheduled. He was very friendly and professional and left with the project totally completed and the work area cleaned up. The project turned out better than we expected.
