I have used their service for years. I have always been pleased with the electricians that we have had.

was I was having power outages on some circuits every so often. The electrician spotted the problem quickly. The power line coming into the house was shorting out. He also noticed my electric meter socket was not up to code. He replaced fixed the wiring and updated the meter socket that day. It was finished in 90 minutes and he did it in the rain! Excellent customer service! It cost a little more than I expected but it was well worth it.

It went great. He did have to come back because we originally asked him for just the one thing, but we ended up having a list. He had a price list that was written down right away, so whatever we said he clearly showed the charge for it. The charges were per job, not per hour. They were really good, we will have them come back. They are now our electricians of choice.

Excellent. The provider was timely, polite, expedient, and provided professional opinions on multiple questions about other electrical issues in the home.

Overall, it was good. They showed up on time. They did the work on time. There were no problems at all. They have been there a long time. I think they have been there probably at least 50 years so they would not disappear on you. They are not going anywhere.

The first time I hired them it was immediately following a terrible experience with another contractor. They were so kind, great at communicating the scope of work, making sure it met my needs/expectations. It would have been a good expereince - but in comparison to what I had just gone through...it was better than a day at a spa! The second time was just as positive - it wasn't a difficult job, but they did the work I needed - and had some suggestions of the best approach that I hadn't thought of. Will hire them again...I know I pay a premium for them - but it's worth it.

First I'd like to say that Roman Electric is a fine company that does good work. My issue is the upfront pricing. It almost feels like gambling. The electrician Neil was professional and personable and spent 15 minutes addressing the issue. The single circuit diagnosis was $236. So sometimes you "win" if they don't find the problem right away. Or in my case overpaid based on the amount of time spent on the job. Good company, good service, just wanted to share my experience with the pricing.

Came out for estimate 3/28/13 - said they could do the work the next day. Because of our own schedules, opted for the following Monday. Job was done within estimated time table. Estimate was accurate. Overall, excellent experience. Would definitely use them again for any future electrical work. Inspector said we chose wisely with Roman Electric.

2 electricians were here on 1st day ontime to start outside work. They contacted WeEnergy as there was work required by WeEnergy before they could proceed. All proceeded in timely fashion. At least 1 electrician was here an additional 2 1/2 days to finish work. Moved electrical box & went through basement upgrading w/lights & junction boxes as needed.

I requested an appointment online (thought Angie's List). They called me back the next day to make the appointment for following day. The electrician (Adam) was on time and very professional. He did his best to give an accurate estimate and stuck to it. He had to troubleshoot the faulty circuits, rewiring a short section, so that all our switches worked correctly. We were able to pay at the time of service through his mobile device. Great job. Would definitely recommend and use again.

Our house was built in 1928. We purchased it in 1982. At that time we retained the services of what I thought was a reputable electric company to convert the fuze box to a circuit breaker system. I assumed that they pulled the necessary permit(s) and performed their work in a compliant manner. As I now understand,, they went out of business many years ago. Recently, my wife and I wanted to upgrade the lighting system in our basement for our grandchildren to use and I decided to call a friend of mine who works for Roman Electric. A service manager, Anthony, came out and looked at the basement and when he saw the circuit breaker and where it was located (ie. beneath a hot water pipe for our heating system) he said, "This is a problem". The service manager checked with the Village building inspector and found out that no permit had been pulled in 1982. I decided to upgrade my service from 100 AMPS to 200 AMPS and put in a new, larger circuit breaker. They also moved the electric meter from my basement to the outside of the house and completely moved the metal casing for the wires to the back of the house so that the wires would no longer run over my garage. Overall, I was very pleased with the workmanship of the three electricians (Jason, Adam, and Kevin), who worked on the job. I couldn't resist from time to time asking questions about what they were doing or why. They were thoughtful and helped me understand exactly what they were doing. They also carefully cleaned up after the were finished with their jobs. I believe the highest tribute a consumer can give to a service provider is to use that provider again. I plan to use Roman Electric again for my electrical needs.

Arranged appointment over Phone. Was given clear information as to trip cost and that estimate would be provided prior to work being done. Adam arrived as scheduled and analyzed problem with old ceiling fixture which needed replacement. I picked up a fixture and arranged to have it installed a few days later. The scheduling office and the technician who did the work were very professional and yet caring and attentive to our needs.

A simple appointment to replace a dimmer switch that went bad.

My electrical line holder which is attached to the house was pulled off the house by the weight of a fallen tree branch. I was lucky they were able to send someone within 1/2 hour of my call because I needed to coordinate between the electric company which needed to turn off the electricity and remove the tree limb to Roman Electric putting a new holder on the house and attaching the line to the house to the electric company turning the electricity back on. Stupid situation but really good service by all.

This was a very good experience--electrician was prompt, professional, and efficient. Everything was cleaned up and charges were reasonable.

The person Anthony never showed up. I called the office and they said he was schedule to be there and they did not know why he did not show up. I spoke with a someone who said he was a manager over that guy who said he was sorry, but he should have been there.He asked if I wanted to schedule another appointment.

Did a good job but not crazy about their policy of having to pay a $59 evaluation charge EVEN if no work was performed. What about free estimates? They need to change that policy and offer true free estimates.

Excellent service. My first time hiring an electrician and using this company. The serviceman, Adam, was very professional and personable. He did an excellent job and I would recommend the company to anyone in need of electrical services. Very pleased and I was able to use my Angies list coupon!

Carol M called to explain who she was and the company she worked for. She gave an estimated time of arrival and was prompt in arrival. She came in with a smile and books to explain services and fees. She asked specific questions and gave numerous scenarios as to how she could fix the problem, we had to our advantage and cost efficiency. She began with checking all aspects of what the problem could be and was prompt in tackling the job. She was courteous, friendly, efficient, informative and organized. She completed the job and made suggestions for future work that could be done to make the house safer and offered a protection plan which would be beneficial to any further problems or concerns. So impressed with her attitude and anxiousness to provide excelllent service, we decided to get the work done now that she had suggested for future work. Would we call Roman Electric Co again, absolutely. Would we recommend they get calls - Absolutely. Excellent job ..........

Following a recent five hour power outage we decided to get a home natural gas generator. As my wife is on oxygen 24/7 we cannot afford to be with out power for extended periods. Our portable gasoline generator was not adequate for our needs. Three quotes were obtained. The quote that Anthony Schmidt, Service manager from Roman Electric was accepted on July 20, 2012 as the quote was reasonable and that he indicated that Roman would install it on July 24-25 as I was leaving town on July 26 and did not want my wife to be without power if a power outage occurred. The installation was smooth and was done by Nick Jozwiak and three other Roman Electricians. They were all very professional and explained in detail as the installation proceeded. The installation started at 8:00am and was completed at about 8:30pm at which time normal power was returned. Nick assured us that they would not leave until we had normal power and that the generator was working properly. This was accomplished and the mission completed.The Roman plumbing subcontractor was Anderson Plumbing, Inc. Their plumbers, Nick and Matt were also very professional and they also explained in detail as they proceeded what and why wa being done. We were very pleased with both companies and would not hesitate to use them again.

They were fast and they did a nice job. They contacted me right away and were back here on time and they cleaned up after themselves. They gave me an estimate and stuck with that estimate.

Jeff, an experienced electrician with Roman Electric, came to our house spot on time. He called before arriving to let us know he was on his way. He was very courteous and very professional. His appearance was spotless and he kept our house that way as well! The first thing he did upon arrival was lay down a rug that was brand new in appearance inside of our front door. Through two days worth of work, Jeff always kept used cloth booties over his workboots that he would take off each time he had to go outside to his work truck. It was excessively hot outdoors on the two days Jeff worked here. He kept well hydrated and never complained about the heat, even when he occasionally had to go into the attic to do wiring. Jeff, though humble and quiet, proves to be so knowledgable about his work that my husband, an engineer who sometimes thinks he knows as much as the contractor, said to me that he trusted Jeff completely and we were lucky to have found such a professional. Jeff took time to answer my every question and made sure I understood about each electrical problem and why he performed each task. He explained to me the differences among lightbulbs and how to choose the type of lighting I needed. Jeff was especially clean around our house. He used clean dropcloths and kept all of the mess from each job inside of the drop cloth, folding up each one carefully and carrying them all out to his truck without leaving a trace on our carpets. My husband and I try to spend money wisely on our house and we feel that hiring Jeff was a wise investment. We are definitely going to have him come back to do more work. In all he's come three times to do electrical work and we were impressed with his work and professionalism each time. My husband commented that he thinks Jeff is the best professional that we've hired to work on our house. We highly recommend Jeff at Roman Electric.

It went very well. The project did take longer than anticipated but they did not go over the final estimate (I added some things once they got there.) The electricians were very courteous and it was a bonus that they were dog friendly. They kept me appraised of their progress and when something couldn't be done as planned, we discussed options. My house was built in 1923, and things never seem to go as planned. I was very pleased with their service. Plus, I got a 10% discount for being an Angie's List member!
