They were so customer focused, and discussed the costs involved in a number of scenarios.

Great service. The company did a nice job with lay out and recommendations in lighting options. Had a delay in the purchase of some of the lights, but the company maintained communication and kept us informed of the progress and the final product is well worth the additional effort. Very good quality work from the installers. Will most definitely use this company again for future work. They are a little more expensive than some of the other quotes we received for the work, but the workmanship and final outcome was well worth the additional price.

I talked with the owner, who estimated about 2-3 hours, maybe 4 @ $85 per hour. I was fine with that. On July 14, arrival time was 9. At about 9:40, the office called to say they were delayed at a previous job, they would be there by 11 a.m., and they were sending two guys...at the time I thought that was okay if they were running behind. They arrived at 11:30...that was OK Little did I understand that, now, instead of $85 per hour it was $85 each or $170 per hour. I didn't know this until he presented the bill. I showed them the work that had to be done...both guys followed me, so I'm paying twice the price to show them thru the house, outside to the radon unit, etc. I went downstairs to check on them a few times...three of those times one or the other was on the phone...on my job at $85 per hour each. They packed up and went out to the truck to figure the bill - on my time at $85 each. One guy figuring, the other guy...who knows. This is 15 more minutes of my time. Maybe all electricians work this way, I don't know. But I was blind sided by the fact that it was now costing me double per hour than I had originally budgeted for. I didn't know enough to ask the right kind of questions. Should I have gotten an estimate for the total job period and not a per hour cost?

Paul set the date and all went smoothly, very happy to use in the next project.

Based on the ratings of other users on Angie's List I decided to go to Best Service Electric for the installation of 5 light fixtures and 2 new ceiling fans that we purchased for our house. We had made an appointment and then 2 days before the scheduled appointment we received a phone call needing to reschedule for the next week. it was a little inconvenient and unexpected, but things happen sometimes and schedules need to be adjusted. They came to the house and started taking down the lights and discovered that some of the holes in the ceiling were too big for the new fixtures that would need to be installed. They recommended going to get medallions that could be installed with the light that would cover up these holes. We had to go to the hardware store to get those as they did not have any with them. As a point of improvement, I would have expected them to have the things needed to install the lights. I think this would also be another source of income for them as even if they bought them at retail price and sold them at a higher price, homeowners would buy them instead of having to go to the store to get them. Installation of 6 of the lights was done the first day and the work was excellent. The light that was not finished on day 1 was completed early the next day. On the day they came back we also had them look at a faulty light switch in the kitchen and that was fixed as well. Overall the work they performed was good and reasonably priced. I would definitely work with them again in the future if I needed any additional electrical work done.

We had an electrician that we went with exclusivity, for some reason he just stopped answering the phones and never finished his job that we paid for. So we looked on Angies list and found these guys. We are very happy that we did not only was the gentleman that came out an extremely nice guy he also was came to help us fast and did a great job and my tenant is happy. We have now changed and are exclusively only going with this company for all of our electrician needs with our personal home and the business and buildings that we own. Thank you!

Everything went very well. The electrician, Dustin, was right on time. He was very polite and courteous, and took the time to explain what he was going to do and about how long it would take. He was very careful not to damage anything in the house (moving rugs and furniture) and cleaned up the drywall dust when he was finished. He even offered to take out the boxes and packaging from the ceiling fans to the garbage for me. Just an all around nice guy who did a great job! I will use this company again for future work.

After researching various electricians, I settled on Best Electric. Called to schedule an appointment and took the earliest date available (June 6) which was about 2 weeks from the date of my call. They called the day before and left a voicemail reminding me of the appointment. On June 6th, the electrician arrived promptly and began work. He was very friendly and performed all requested services. Upon completion he asked if I had any questions to which I did for unrelated things I wanted to have done at a later date. He gave me some ballpark numbers on those. The job was fairly simple and he was in and out in 30-45 minutes. Very satisfied with the work done and the answers to my questions regarding future products. Would highly recommend Best Electric and will be calling them again in the future.

The work needed to be done as part of the negotiations for the sale of the home and so we were under a time constraint if the sale was to close on schedule. The gentleman who came out to give the estimate was very friendly and professional and he was also very knowledgeable. I noticed that of the 3 companies that I had bid on the job he was the only one that sat down and calculated the costs right there so he was immediately able to give me the estimate. His was also the least expensive, $500 less than one and $700 less than the other. When I called to schedule the work the gentleman there told me that they could come out on May 30th which was perfect for me because we needed the work done before June 5th and I needed to get the electrical inspector out there after they finished to inspect the work. Later the same gentleman who I talked to about scheduling the work called back and said that he made a mistake and that they had another job scheduled on May 30th and could they come out to do it on June 4th. I told him that that would be cutting it too close for us (the closing was scheduled for June 5th) and that I would prefer the original date. I felt bad because I knew he was in a jam but he said that it was his mistake and that he would figure something out. They did the work and the inspector gave it his blessing a few days later. They did just what I wanted in the time they said it would take.

This was a great deal and I was very happy I was able to get this deal. I am updating my daughter's first home and wanted to get a fresher look to the bedrooms by changing the outlets and light switches from beige to white. Curt the electrician came first thing in the morning and started the job right away. He discovered a faulty wire which he was able to diagnose the problem, fix and then continue replacing the outlets. As the time got closer to the when the 2 hour deal was up he asked if I wanted him to continue to finish the rest of the outlets as there were 4 more left. That extra time was reasonably charged and his time was well spent. He explained how he hooked up the light switches to the outlets and was very informative when asked questions about future electrical needs. Very happy with the service and having this job done. Paul the owner was also very professional and friendly in scheduling the appointment and getting me some quotes with his estimator (Al) on future work. Very impressed and would recommend.

Carl arrived on time, introduced himself and walked through the details of the work to be done. He was professional and placed the outlets exactly where I wanted them. He was able to answer questions about possible future work. I would definitely use them again.

Checked Angies list for electrical and read the reviews and requested service. Said they could come next day which was fine but called me back and said service man Curt was in my area and would I mind if he came over now. He came over replaced the switch and it took 30 minutes. He was great and we will be calling again down the road.

Two workers arrived nice and early and did the work efficiently. The only snafu was that one of the holes they drilled in the attic hit the plaster on the outside and cracked it. I called Paul the owner and told him about it and he took a discount off my bill due to the fact that I will need to spackle and paint the wall. The paint we had is too old to use and I will need to try to match it and buy new paint to fix the problem. Otherwise, they did a great job and we passed inspection when the electrical inspector came to visit.

I got them on Angie's List. They were on time with the estimate. The guy was polite; he was a younger guy. The only kind of down side that we noticed with him was we had to have someone to have our service upgraded from fuses to breakers and the service right now is located in a room in the basement where there is a shower and a toilet, and when the other company came and saw that, they said no we got to move it, it cannot be in here, and Best Electric said well I got to check the codebook, and so he had to go out and look in there, and then he said that the codebook says tub, basin and toilet and we do not have a basin, so he said we do not have to move it. This struck me that if they do not move it and the inspector comes in and said its got to be moved then we got to pay more again to have it moved. So that was the one drawback, but other than that he was thorough with looking things over and explaining stuff, etc. The other difference between Best Electric and the other company is that the other company is putting a bigger box in that will have more spaces and they will install a surge protector system, whereas with Best Electric it was a little smaller box and the surge protector system was extra. Best Electric's bid was lower than the other company, but when I thought about it that they have to come back and move it, I hired the other company than them.

They did a good job. They kept in close communication. There were a few unexpected issues that came up and they handled them very professionally.

Curt suggested I return the lights I got from Home Depot since the ones he had would be easier and cheaper to install. He was done in less than 2 hours and gave me a credit for the unused time. The guy even helped my painter move some furniture! Couldn't really ask for more. I am having them come back to replace our electrical service since his quote was honest and fair.

I had originally emailed Best Electric and they got back to me within 2 hours with their hourly rate, potential price quote and some possible dates of service. Even with our long list of to-do's, they were able to get us on the books right away! Curt showed up on time and ready to go. We walked him through our list of to-do's and he got to work right away. We're very pleased with the outcome and wouldn't hesitate to recommend Best Electric! We'll definitely be calling them again on future projects.

The service person did a Great job getting the light fixtures replaced. He did his job in a timely manner. We will use Best Electric the next time we need help with electronic issues.

Curt the electrician was phenomenal - explained everything he was doing and why in terms a non-electrical person could understand! Thank you for that! detached garage electrical was shorting out so all the wiring brought up to code, including a kill switch in the garage, 2 exterior outlets added - one on garage and the other on brick house. Added an electrical box to outside light on garage, updated the garage electrical on the box in the basement. Because of the great experience, Best electric is now my electrician of choice. Curt mentioned that my kitchen right now is out of code also - so I will be contacting them again to see what needs to be done and hopefully work with them on doing the work in phases.. .

We received a written quote that included the amount for a permit. Additional work required (not requested) to meet code requirements was explained. On the day of the installation, Dustin, the electrician, arrived right at the time scheduled. We were impressed with his professionalism, politeness, competence and the way he explained the work that he did. I was happy that he was able to install the recessed light fixtures, designed for new construction, that we had purchased. Although the cost was somewhat higher than that quoted by another company, our confidence that the work would be done properly, meeting all code requirements made the installation by this company worth the difference in cost. We wouldn't hesitate to use this company again for any future electrical work.

They are easy to work with, everyone is very pleasant and helpful in the office. The electrician was courteous, professional and a good communicator.
