They've been good. This is the second year we've been using them. We've been satisfied with them. Our lawn is looking better. They're very prompt. They're very courteous. They always let us know. I certainly would rate them highly. They did very good for us.

they missed 3 appointments they set up, after several calls finally they showed and did an application that they said we would not be charged for and we found they did charge us. We again contacted them and after a few more phone calls they took charges off our credit card. We then found plant damage and after a few more calls we they came to take a look at what they had done and we are now waiting for their final decision on what they are going to do with this mess!

I have been a customer for about three years now. They make six visits per year to apply fertilizer and weed control. My lawn definitely looks better this year than it had before starting the treatments, although this is the first year that I can say that. (I'm not blaming that on them, since I would imagine that it would take a few years for the lawn to turn around.) When I have had questions about billing they have responded quickly and in a positive manner. When I questioned whether aeration was performed adequately one year, they sent someone over within days to look at it and make some corrections. My only complaint is the numerous calls that I get entreating me to add on new services. The caller seems to be reading boilerplate text, telling me that the service people who last treated my lawn noticed, for example, problems with my bushes, and suggesting that I add on some new bush service. If the service person notices that during a visit, why don't they point it out to me at that time? I would be more responsive if someone would actually point out the specific problem rather than making a boilerplate phone appeal. Other than these annoying calls, so far I have been happy with the service.

This company is a NIGHTMARE to try to do business with, do not, do not start with them because they will never stop coming. Last season I was really stupid and paid for a whole years of service in advance for 2013. I was told they had and quot;computer problemsand quot; and could never get them to actually come for all services I had paid for. Now, without any signed agreement from me they are showing up at my property when I am at work, applying more treatments and then sending me a bill. I have tried multiple ways via their 800 number in Memphis, TN to get them to stop coming but they just don't care. There are a lot of other good service providers on Angie's list and this is not one of them.

I do not like that when I call them, I get a national number line and I wanted to talk with someone local. So if I have an issue I can not talk to someone in the area. Scheduling is all done by the computer so it is easy. They did a great job but I will not be using them in the future.

Some of the weeds were killed, but are they are slow on maintenance calls that I request. The people do not let you know when they are at your home and do not leave any correspondence about what they have done. I was home during one of the service calls and the gentleman didn't even ring the doorbell and I had to yell out to him. He still didn't leave any correspondence about the service that was performed.

They messed up the fertilization of my yard, creating big browns spots in my yard. They then Came back less than a month later and overfertilized it. They just didn't do what they were suppose to do. I don't want them to come back. Also, last year they accidently fertilized my neighbors yard, instead of mine. Not reliable at all.

Our last treatment was a couple weeks ago, however, what we had to do to get that appt was way outside of our experience in the past. When it takes 3 calls from me to find out why the tech did not come out AGAIN, even after their automated system calls, and why the weeds do not look like they have been treated...again...it's time to find a new service. We have been loyal customers for over five years but the service has significantly declined in the last two years. The lawn at this point, looks like neighbors yards who do not even treat their yards. Not satisfied.

When our last lawn service was bought out by Trugreen, we were less than pleased. I never signed up for, nor paid for, any Trugreen services. Despite this, they showed up in the spring, fertilized and billed us. I ignored the bill, thinking it was a scam, until they sent it to a collection company. I then paid the bill and canceled the service that I had never signed up for in the first place. It didn't work. Three days later, they were back to spray weedkiller. Given that this occurred during the 95 degree heat/drought we're having in July, my grass has been slowly dying (in large and small spots) ever since. If this company gets a hold of your name, cancel immediately -- preferably using more than one method (phone, web or writing). Apparently, if you don't pay them for their unrequested services, they will come out and kill your lawn, I just called customer service again and told them that if the manager of the local company doesn't call me to fix the problem, I'm going to pay have the lawn reseeded and take them to small claims court. We'll see what happens.

First, I must preface my remarks that the TG office I worked with was out of Waukesha- but I do not know their exact address. When I did the search for TG out of Waukesha, this was the address that showed up. Plus, I called the corporate offices of TG, so I believe I gave TG more than a fair chance to act as my lawn care provider. So here goes........... I was contacted by Tru-Green by a rep who came to my house. I discussed services with Tru Green and the rep (Brian) was very polite and it seemed like this was going to be a great deal. Brian gave me a discounted price, made several promises about how great their service was, and that their products were the best. If I was unhappy with anything, even one tiny weed in my lawn- give them a call and they would fix it right away. A few days later I was called by Tru Green to pay for the services via my visa card. However the price I was quoted was not what Tru Green was going to charge me. Obviously, it was significantly higher. When I brought this up to the CSR on the phone, she seemed surprised and would check into it. She then called back and said that the price I was quoted by Brian was the right one and there must have been a mistake and quot;in the systemand quot;- which you will soon see is a recurring theme. Brian was supposed to return to my house and sign the contract. After several days of no-shows, I finally called Brian and received no response. I tried two more times with no answer. On the third time, Brian answered and apologized with the excuse that they were very busy and he totally forgot. Wait- It gets worse! I signed the paperwork and Brian said the first services would be within a few days. After about a week, no one from TG had showed up. I called Brian. No answer. I called him again the next day. No answer. Over the next week, I called him 3 more times and left a message each time. No answer. No reply. Nothing. I finally called the corporate office and spoke to a district manager (?) named Drew about my experience. Drew apologized several times. It turned out that Brian had since left TG. It would have been nice to be told that! I would think they would forward their customers onward to the next manager but they didn't- somehow. Drew said there must have been a problem and quot;with the systemand quot; that caused me to be overlooked. Drew didn't offer any restitution for this oversight - but I suggested one! Then Drew said he would discount my first service 50% and that I would be contacted by the end of the week to set up a service application. I asked Drew to contact me that evening to verify that he had set this up and he promised that he would call me back to verify. You guessed it- no call back. Nothing. Still more to come! Someone (don't know who) from TG then called me about 4 days later and left a message that I would be getting a service application on that Friday. Friday came and went. Nobody showed up. My wife is a stay at home mother so I know if anyone was at my house that day. A few days later I received a and quot;follow-upand quot; call asking how satisfied I was with the first application. So I told them the whole story and then was referred to yet another manager. The newest manager (I don't remember his name) once again apologized and determined that I must have been overlooked somehow due to a problem............and quot;with the systemand quot;!!! The newest manager I worked with said that he FOR SURE would get my lawn application scheduled and completed. I will say that this manager was genuinely concerned and seemed like he was going to fix these issues. But after a few days and phone discussions (at least I DID get a reply this time), no one ever did show up at my house. Now.........I want my money back! I then called the corporate office again to cancel my service. The gentleman that I worked with - what is this the fifth one now?- apologized and was astounded with all the problems I was having trying to get TG to accept my business. He asked what it would take to keep (or maybe I should say and quot;startand quot;) me as a customer. I replied that the only way I would stay with TG was if they gave me the first year for free. Obviously, they said they couldn't do that- and I totally understand. As I was cancelling my service, he said that this normally doesn't happen. there must have been a problem...... and quot; WITH THE (FLIPPIN') SYSTEMand quot;!!! He again apologized and stated that TG and quot;really missed it. They really screwed upand quot;. So I give TG credit for that. But wait- one last incident occurred about 2 weeks later. Stay tuned for the next paragraph! A very nice woman from TG called me and asked if I was having any problems with my lawn. When I asked her what she meant, she seemed puzzled and said that she wanted to know how my applications were going with TG and if I was having any problems with their service (or lack thereof in this case). I then went on to explain the whole saga of my experience with TG. She apologized profusely and said that (and I kid you not) and quot;there must be a problem with the systemand quot;. I then expressed my displeasure with TG and the fact that, as a customer, I really don't care WHY I am not getting what I paid for. Telling me that THEY have problems doesn't really help me. I suggested this to her and she very politely and professionally accepted the feedback, and said how sorry she was that TG was letting me down. As did the previous person I worked with, she stated that she would DEFINITELY get my service restarted if I would just give her a chance. After I explained that she was the (at least) third person that claimed they had the tenacity to get my services going, I stated that I was not interested in TG and that I would be going with their competitors- but I have not done so yet. She said she understood my frustration and asked if I would reconsider because TG has and quot;really great productsand quot;. I responded that I would simply have to believe her and that a company can have the best products in the world, but if they are never applied, they aint gonna do much good! She understood, apologized again, and asked that I consider TG again in the future. It will be interesting to see if I get my money back on my credit card. I WILLmake sure that I get my money back- but wonder what kind of gyrations I will need to go through to get credited for services that I never did receive. I think that TG probably IS a good company, but the TG office out of Waukesha really missed the mark for me. I give them all and quot;F'sand quot; except for professionalism which I gave them a and quot;Cand quot;. They were always nice, polite, and apologetic- but then again, they never did deliver. I hope this helps anyone who is willing to take the time to read this dissertation on my frustrating experience with TG. Good luck!

The weed and feed was average. The price was fair. They did not keep good records and would come more than once in a weeks time. We made the decision to not use them in 2013. We received a phone call in early 2013 and were asked if we wanted to continue the service. We said no. In April of 2013 they applied a treatment while we were out of town. We called (25 minutes on hold) to again tell them that we did not want this service and did not authorize the application and wanted a credit. When I spoke to someone at their corporate headquarters and told my story, I was assured that we would receive a credit. We just got a phone call wanting to know when we will pay the bill. Very frustrating. We will never use TruGreen.

Service is punctual and the results of their work are generally good. I scaled back from a program that had many more rounds of application to one that had 6 per year. Surprisingly the price decreased and the quality of my lawn has not had any negative impact. The only nit I would have against them is that their service is cookie cutter to some degree, and they don't recommend reducing unnecessary service; but they do offer additional services all the time. I'd be more trusting if they would also recommend that I remove something I don't need.

I used them last spring, summer and fall. I paid them per-visit. They used Scott's products and offered competitive pricing on a per-visit basis. We agreed upon a number of visits and my lawn seemed to be fine. I think they exceeded the number of visits that we agreed upon without consulting me, but it is hard to say because they would call and offer a visit and I did not know if that was an offer that we already had scheduled.

They initially came out and gave an assessment of the lawn and gave a quote for ferilization and weed control. Their quote was less cost than me doing all the work myself so we gave them a try. We have been pleasantly suprised by how well they have done. We have a new home which had premium sod installed and they have kept it about as close to weed free as possible while retaining its health.
Description of Work: They do fertilizer and weed control on the lawn(6 times per season), treat for insects(3 times per season) and fertilize and spray schrubs and trees (2 times per season). They have done a nice job on the lawn and keep us up to date on how well it is doing and if we need to increase water etc.. When needed they come back for no cost and retreat weeds by request. They will try to sell more services but be aware of what you need to avoid doing things that aren't necessary.

The experience is always the same. They just come out and spray my grass and leave me a note, and most of the time, I am not even here when they do that. I have no complaints. They always tell me what they did, so that experience has been good. I think they are comparable to other people in the business. Whenever I call them if there is an issue, they will get right on it and come back out if I need. The national TruGreen website required my name and address in order to access webpages with information about the company's natural lawn care service. I provided my info because I assumed it was needed to determine what services are available here. BIG MISTAKE! Within hours, I began receiving calls from their unrelenting marketing machine. WE HAVE BEEN CALLED 7 TIMES IN THE LAST 48 HOURS AND THEY ARE STILL CALLING. I spent about 20 minutes talking to one of the first reps who called. I said I would be making a decision in about a week after researching other organic/natural options. We agreed he could call me back in a week. Since then, though, multiple TruGreen reps continue to call. Yesterday I emailed TruGreen customer service and begged to be removed from their calling list. This morning, we got yet another call! I deeply regret even engaging with this company's web site. I can't believe they are this unresponsive and inconsiderate to me as a prospective customer. The local franchise holder and its employees may be great, but I'm not going to take the risk of finding out -- TruGreen's national marketing monster has turned me off completely. UPDATE: THEY CALLED AGAIN. Wanted to know and quot;how I'd rate my lawnand quot; one week after I'd hired a competitor.
