They would call us all of the time trying to up sell which we did not appreciate. It got to the point they were calling us 2 - 3 times a week with different sales pitches. The work was ok but we will not be using them any more.

Grass was green but the weeds were not completely eliminated.

I was solicited in person at home last year and was told of different diseases and pests stressing my trees. Being new to the area I accepted the offer to treat all trees and shrubs on the property. Reality was that only a select few trees were treated, but I deferred to the company's reputation and expertize. Being away from home very frequently I wanted to trust that Chemlawn was doing their job properly. This spring I noticed many other local companies treating trees in the area, and nearly a month later I called Chemlawn to inquire. Someone would be out later in the week. Again, I was away, but my neighbor approached me to say a young kid from Chemlawn shot a couple squirts into a few trees, and was in and out very quickly. He assured me that he felt I'd been ripped-off. My neighbor has lived in the area a long time, and claims that not only was Chemlawn too late in their treatment, but that their treatment was virtually inconsequential. They've refunded my balance.

I called them for an estimate and was told the would come Friday and do the work the next day. No call/no show on the estimate. When I called them, I was told they would not be coming that day. I reminded them that the manager had promised for work to be done by Saturday. The manager claimed "he could not recall" saying that. I canceled.

We have used Chem Lawn for three years now. Our grass has never looked better. We have no crabgrass our weeds and our neighbors are jealous! I have never seen a dandelion in our yard and the service men are very polite and responsive to our requests.

We installed a new front lawn this spring and we needed help with the weeds. Chemlawn is wonderful. They come to the house and do the job, without anyone having to be home. Our lawn is looking great!

I contacted them to get an estimate for lawn fertilization and care. Their estimate was very high, I told the guy this and he ended up reducing fee. I said it was still too high and he reduced again. That's the good news. The bad news is that it then took them over 2+ weeks to do the service, even though they did service for 2 of my neighbors much sooner. My silver maple has bugs for the first time in 6 years so I needed to contact them. I am only available after 6:00 but they have no answering machine so I e-mailed them. After 3 days of no response, I called. They said that no everyone has e-mail. What!?!?! Someone must if it was on my bill! I also mentioned the frustration of them not having an ansewering machine after hours. She said management decided not to have one. So much for good customer service! Answering machines have been standard business practice since the 80's!

The company calls after their visits to let me know how things, look, especially if they haven't gotten their bill yet. When I didn't want to sign up for a huge, and expensive program, they let me dictate a modified program of just four visits. They do call often to offer new products/services but don't seem to be overly pushy if you say no.

TruGreen came at the appointed intervals. They applied fertilizer and weed killer to the lawn and shrub fertilizer to the shrubs. They did a good job; the lawn and shrubs have thrived.

The service technican explained what was service was performed and what problem he noticed with my shrubs. Recommendations were also given. I would rate this company with and A.

When placing my order for service, the original price quoted was significantly higher than the price we settled on. So, it appears there is room for negotiation. My lawn thickened up nicely and was void of weeds except near the edges of plant beddings (they don't spray too close to things they might kill accidentally which I greatly appreciate). The service they performed was done well. What I did not appreciate was the 'telemarketing' calls asking if we would like them to spray our bushes, trees, add aeration services (in fall) and one extra pre-winter treatment. It seemed that I was receiving these calls almost monthly. It got to the point that I asked them not to call me EVER again. I asked that they only do what I had paid them to do and nothing else. Bottom line: They did what they were hired to do at a good price, but the next time we hire someone for this, we'll try a different company to avoid the phone calls.

We will no longer contact this company for our lawn assistance. They did not perform the entire task that was requested. When we inquired about this service and asked for proof, the representative person never called back.

I am generally pleased with the services I contracted for. However, they are continually trying to sell add-on products and I have had problems getting duplicate bills after I have already made payment.

ALTHOUGH THE WORK THEY PERFORM IS SATISFACTORY, THEY DON'T CALL TO LET US KNOW THEY ARE COMING. WHEN THEY DO CALL THEY DON'T LEAVE A MESSAGE (THERE NUMBER IS ON THE CALLER ID) SO WE DON'T KNOW WHY THEY ARE CALLING.

COST IS PER TREATMENT, VERY CONSISTENT and RELIABLE, HAVE USED FOR THE LAST 3 YEARS.

TRU GREEN CHEM LAWN COMES OUT TO OUR HOME TO SPRAY LIQUID FERTILIZER AND WEED KILLER ON OUR LAWN. AS IN THE PAST, WE HAVE BEEN VERY PLEASED WITH THE SERVICE THEY PROVIDE TO US.

WE AGREED TO ONE TREATMENT AT $65. WE WERE UNSATISFIED WITH THAT TREATMENT, WE COMPLAINED, THEY CAME BACK TO CORRECT THE PROBLEM WHICH WAS SUPPOSED TO BE AT NO CHARGE THEY CHARGED US AGAIN. WE COMPLAINED ABOUT THE SECOND TIME THEY CAME OUT, THEN THEY CAME OUT A THIRD TIME AND WANTED TO CHARGE US AGAIN. THEY WERE SUPPOSED TO FIX WHAT THEY HAD DONE INCORRECTLY.

THEY ARE VERY POLITE, EXTREMELY COURTEOUS AND RELIABLE.

THEY DID GOOD WORK ON THE FIRST TWO APPLICATIONS BUT ON THE LAST APPLICATION THEY DAMAGED MY LAWN. THE MISTAKE THAT WAS MADE BY THE APPLICATOR WAS A MISTAKE THAT A PROFESSIONAL SHOULD NOT MAKE.

THEY'VE BEEN ON TIME AND IF WE HAD ANY PROBLEMS THEY WERE SOLVED PROMPTLY.

THEY DID A GOOD JOB, BUT AFTER A WHILE THE CHEMICALS STARTED TO SMELL.

THEY BURNED SOME OF THE GRASS IN SPOTS.

THEY RUSH THROUGH THE SERVICES THEYRE PERFORMING, DOING POOR WORK AS A RESULT. THEY KEEP TRYING TO SELL ME OTHER SERVICES.

ONLY WANTED 3 APPLICATIONS. GOT PUSHY ABOUT MORE, NEVER ON TIME.

OVERCHARGED AND DIDNT DO WHAT THEY SAID THEY WOULD DO.
