Description of Work: Cleaned the chimney in the basement. It went very well. The service man was very polite, neat, and cleaned up everything. He also explained every step to me and showed the camera pictures of the chimney so that I knew what he was talking about.

Description of Work: They clean and inspected 2 fireplace chimneys. They were on time, clean and professional. They showed me and explained what they found and recommended repairs to each chimney. We chose to do the repairs on one for now and will do other repairs at later time due to cost. They did the repairs on the one and we are very happy with the job done, again very clean. We will have them out to do the second chimney when we are able to afford the repair option we choose but it needs to be done as it is not usable until we do.

Description of Work: They first inspected the fireplace, then called me and told me the results of the inspection prior to sending me the safety inspection report. As I expected, the creasote in the flue needed to be cleaned out. They then cleaned the flue. Each time, they they left no trace of any dirt or mess behind. They told me that there were holes in the tuckpointing (my word) between the flue tiles that possibly could lead to a fire in the chimney if flammable material going up the flue came in contact with flammable material in the fireplace. They also identified the need for a screen over the top of the chimney--info that I am passing on to our condo association officers. They then asked if I wanted an estimate from them to seal these holes. The estimate they gave me would require them to place a device above the chimney (tall 4 story building). Big operation, too pricey for the owner of one of the 3 condos that have fireplaces and flues going up the chimney. I've asked them to identify where the holes are and what other way they might do the sealing. Quality is very knowledgeable and responsive. The certifications of the technician and photos provided to me gave me confidence in the written reports they provided to me.
