We were able to get an early morning appointment scheduled in just 2 days. Jacob came to our home today and was very professional, punctual and knowledgeable in cleaning out our chimney for our wood burning stove. My husband was cleaning the area during the chimney sweep and Jacob assisted him at no extra charge. They cleaned up very well and gave us good advice about how to take care of our chimney in the future. We will definitely hire them again next year.

We contacted this company to do an inspection and CLEANING of the chimney and agreed upon a set price to perform the work. Instead the technician arrived dressed in another company's logo with his 18 year old son and tried to sell us chimney repair and ROOF REPLACEMENT; we ultimately received a totally unsolicited request for additional service. The technician stated that the was NOT told about the our desire to clean the chimney and that it would require additional ladders and equipment that he did not have with him at the time. BUT he did say the fireplace itself needed to be cleaned. We are not at all pleased with the services of the company. Fortunately we were not charged.

This homeowner called for an inspection and possible cleaning of their fireplace and also wanted us to look at a leak problem they were having. We answered the call live and scheduled a time to come out. We arrived right on time in a clearly marked van and discovered that the flue was NOT in need of a cleaning. We informed them of this and were asked to look for a persistent leak. We were also told that 3 different roofing companies had already been there and all wanted to install a new roof. We were then asked to go up and remove the chase cover of a factory built chimney and CLEAN the chase! Our technician tried to explain that is not how a cleaning is performed!! We normally charge $125 for the trip and inspection but waived this fee since the homeowner was apparently confused as to how we do a cleaning. This tech happens to know another roofer and offered to refer him for the roof work. The homeowner became agitated that we would not remove the chase cover and perform a level 3 inspection for our regular cleaning fee so he left this review. We were right on time so not sure why we would get an F for punctuality? We responded right away after receiving the phone call so not sure why we get an F there either? We waived our normal fee since homeowner was confused so not sure why we get an F for price? We did not do any work so not sure why we get an F for quality? What we are guilty of is trying to help a homeowner with another problem!

I have had Quality Fireplace & Chimney Service clean out my chimney twice. I was very satisfied with the work that they did. They were here Fall of last year in September of 2016. I think the price was $250. They advised me of what I could do, which I did, that was about it. He was good at explaining what they were doing and what he found. They seemed to do a good job as far as cleaning the fireplace, not that I did an inspection of their work. I would tell others it's a good price from what I compared them too and quality work. I recommend them to neighbors.
Description of Work: They cleaned out the chimney and they did a telescopic to make sure the entire path was satisfactory, they did an inspection of the whole chimney and fireplace. They found a crack in the fireplace.

Originally they thought they would be delayed several months because of the weather. When they had some gorgeous weather in February, though, they jumped at the chance and got a crew in to do the work. With a two day window, they came out with a double crew and did a bang-up job. They communicated well, did a great job, and were eminent professionals. Would absolutely hire them again.
Description of Work: I had water leaking through an old chimney, and running vertically into a rental unit. This despite having put on two-year old new roof (and having the roofer check the flashing and sealant). Quality Fireplace diagnosed the need to tear off the old chimney, put up new flashing and roof tiles, and building up a new chimney. They also recommend I put new Chimney caps on the other Chimney.

We took time to leave a review in order to test the chimney first. We lit the first fire over Thanksgiving. Two crews came to our home. We were especially impressed with the first of the two: the owner of the company inspected our chimney and gave us advice based on his 30-some years of experience. His partner did a professional job, and they both spent extra time talking to us about the chimney and our home. The second crew completed the safety inspection with the camera. We were less impressed because some of the equipment was tossed around and they made some comments about religion, but we were satisfied with the work nonetheless and the level of care. Thank you for a job well done!

Very nice and professional. We feel comfortable with the service provided and confident we can safely start our fireplace again.
Description of Work: We had a birds nest in our outside vent which started smoldering when we turned on the fireplace. We ended up calling the fire department since there was smoke and smoldering. The fire department stated it was good that we had called because our siding could have started on fire. After this incident we had Ed and Drew come out and take a look at our fireplace. They came and took the vent off on the outside of our house and cleaned it out completely; they found tons of branches and such from the birds. They also vacuumed out the fireplace inside of our home and cleaned off the glass and made sure the fireplace restarted; since the fire department had turned it all off. They were at my home for about an hour.
