They arrived on time, were courteous. They efficiently did the job they came for. No mess.

The men were on time and the work went smoothly. They also cleaned the rust off the aluminum where the rust had run down the siding. It now looks beautiful! They left no mess.

I already had a good idea what the cost should be for tuck-pointing and flashing repair/replacement before calling them. They were very punctual about coming out, however did not seem to spend much time at all on the roof inspecting the chimneys, (maybe 5 minutes) nor did they ask to come inside and see where the leaks were from the interior. I knew from research that the price to replace/fix the flashing and tuck-point both chimneys should have been about $2-2.5k. I don't know if I had 'stupid' written on my forehead or something but Quality Fireplace and Chimney quoted me to $12,500 to do this work! I was pretty flabbergasted at this quote, I could probably have the whole roof re-done for that much money. I proceeded to get 3 additional estimates from 3 different companies, including a very large and well known roofing company, and ALL of their quotes never exceeded $2.5k for the whole project. I'm sure QFCS does good work but they either were sloppy in evaluating the job and screwed up on the estimate or were trying to bamboozle me. Regardless I went with someone else.

All appointments and phone contacts were handled professionally. We were very pleased with Mike and his crew.

We ended up getting some caps on the chimney top for an extra cost. They were very honest, told us exactly what was wrong and gave us a quote for other things that were wrong. They were very nice. They cleaned out both chimneys. They were there early.

Very professional service. Very friendly. We just purchased the home and have n experience with natural fireplaces. It looks awhole lot different now than before they began cleaning. They even gave me some advice since the fireplace is new to me. I am so happy with their service, I am having them do some cosmectic fixes to the brick work. I definately recommend them.

Went fine - it took like tops 20 min and a lot of money for that time.

Not sure why it all seemed to go wrong but the owner did sound like he was sorry for the inconvenience at the end and the length of time and inconvenience this imposed.

They did not clean the whole chimney, only the lower half and tried to sell me a gas fireplace insert. They left no picture of the chimney, they did nothing they said they wouId over the phone and the price was ridiculous for what they did. would never have them again. I would not recommend them.

The inspection was quick, took just a few minutes. In hindsight, a $100 charge for just performing a video inspection of the chimney appears a bit steep, hence a B on the pricing.

They arrived on time, and were very professional. They explained the necessary steps to clean and inspect. My appointment was very late in the afternoon, yet they didn't seem rushed to be done by 5. They didn't make a mess! I was very impressed by that! I would recommend Quality Fireplace and would use them again in the future.

Started with chimney inspection and cleaning in December of 2012 as we had not used our fireplace in a number of years; first impression courteous, professional, and careful around inside of our home. Unexpectedly turned into findings of water leaks in our chimney, mortar damage, and eventually an entire chimney rework. Scott especially was extremely helpful through the whole process, even doing chimney work on cold days and showing us all the photographic evidence. Eventually ended with a waterproofing in April by Mike after weather finally good again. At the end of it all confident that we have a repaired chimney, new cap, and repaired mortar. Unexpected costs but quality service. I am only rating good instead of excellent due to the cost - we had budgeted for a chimney sweep and inspection only and it turned into more; but the work was needed. I would recommend this company and their services.

Went very well. I had not used the gas fireplace in 4 years. Before using it again, I wanted to make sure everything was ok. They were very honest when answering my questions and didn't try to sell me any additional services. We did discuss a dripping noise I hear when it rains and said they could come back in the spring as it was likely some caulking that needed to be done. Cleaned up very nicely and covered all areas around the fireplace as they worked. Ed and Jeff were great guys and were patient will my interruptions and questions.

They were good and professional. They did a good job. They explained what they were doing and what to do in the future to take care of our chimney.

I called Quality Fireplace and they promptly called back to set an appointment. Unfortunately I had to cancel due to a conflicting appointment but Quality was able to get me in an at my earliest convenience. Ed gave me a courtesy call prior to his leaving and told me he would be at my house within the hour. Upon arriving, Ed and Jeff examined the fireplace, and told me that they needed to purchase a new pipe for the fireplace. While Ed was sweeping the fireplace, Jeff went to Menards to purchase the supplies. The men were courteous, professional, punctual, and also gave me some very useful information. I was very pleased with their work!! :

I called to have a cleaning but also to remove a very large insert removed in our new to us 100 yr old home. They said they could come right away on monday. When they showed up they saw many things they and we had never seen before! they remained calm and professional and went and got the tools they needed. they showed us what they were finding and said it was probably the worst cleaning they ever had. they also recommended to scope the chimney to see where we were losing bricks. They were amazing!! we showed them all the strange levers and the old screen we wanted put back on. They did not charge us for removal of the 500lb insert! or the scoping and they will come back in the spring to inspect the strange lever at the top of our chimney!! Im so happy I called them and that I never had a fire in there before they looked at it!

He came early with his partner. I purchased a coupon for his services. They came in and brought there equipment. It took about a half hour and there was not a speck of dust anywhere. They brushed the chimney all down and showed us what we had. They explained the dangers and did exactly what they said they would do. . I can not say enough good things about them. I would hire them again in a heartbeat

I called a day ahead of time to find out what was expected of me on my end. Their cleaning process was explained to me in a patient and courteous manner. The next day they arrived promptly and were very thoughtful of keeping my home clean by removing boots and laying down floor coverings. I found them to be friendly, efficient and cleaned up after themselves.

This was a great experience. It was easy to schedule appointment and they were very prompt. Very friendly, knowledgeable, and informative. We bought a deal off Angie's list that was an amazing value. Not sure how their day to day pricing is, but the quality was definitely there. I would call them again.

When I called to schedule an appointment, they were able to come same day if I wanted, but that didn't work for me so we scheduled next day. The 2 men arrived on time, placed tarps down on the carpet and fireplace work area. They cleaned the inside of the chimney and inspected the inside/outside also. They worked my flu a bit to make it easier to open and close since it is original to my 1970 home. No other issues were found, so they were in and out in less than 1 hour. Very polite and curteous; I would use them again.

The fireplace is a wood-burning, moderately-large "prefab" unit which has been in use for approximately 20 years. We have lived in the house only during the past 3 years. We used the fireplace sparingly and were pleased with the heat and ambiance it gave us. Quality Fireplace's owner and a workman came by at the appointed time. They were friendly and courteous and gave us a fair amount of information about our type of fireplace and its condition, which turned out to be excellent.
