We were very happy with the Deal and the service.

Went very well. Had an initial estimate in September and had work done in mid-October. Very professional and will use in future if any fireplace needs arise.

Technicians were on time and completed work in a timely manner. Both were informative and personable. Took precautions to prevent damage both inside and outside of house. Cleaned up after they completed the work and replaced items that had to be moved. I would recommend them.

They were quick, professional and polite. They moved furniture for me and left no mess whatsoever. They noticed that we did not have covers for the chimney and offered inexpensive installation. They did a very thorough job and showed me now to clean the masonry. I have already asked them to come back next year. Only improvement I could recommend is that they give me a courtesy call next time if they are running late.

It went great. We had just purchased the home and wanted to get the chimney cleaned and inspected. They guys walked me through everything about our chimney and fireplace, which included our gas starter, air flow vents, TV mounting considerations, and pointed out that we will want to have someone sand and paint our chimney cap sometime soon. They did a very thorough cleaning job (thank goodness because it turned out we had a yellow-jacket next in our chimney), and left no mess behind. Very very happy with the service.

All employees who worked at my house were extremely professional and congenial. The work they did was thorough.

We had a leak that we couldn't determine was caused by the chimney or roof. They returned our call with 24 hours to schedule a time to visit our home to give us a free estimate. They gave us a written estimate on the spot. We waited six months before contacting them again to give us a new estimate with a different approach to the work (after getting several quotes). They were the best price. They told us they were booking 4 weeks out but we got a call on a Saturday (about two and half weeks later), saying they would start on Monday. When they arrived they gave us thorough detail on the project and asked if we had any questions or concerns. They mentioned that the work was going to get messy and they wanted to warn our neighbors to move their cars. We really appreciated this warning. Chimney looks nice and no leak so far. Clean up was also done well.

The technicians were great! They were on time and very clean. They inspected the chimney for safety and noted that we didn't have any chimney caps. Fortunately the supplies were in their truck and they were able to install that day. My only (minor) complaint is that no one called to confirm the appointment ahead of time. Other than that, great service and I would definitely use this company again.

Provider was prompt and courteous. The cleaning went nominally, though there were two technicians present and given the amount of time involved (and the fact that I provided some equipment), a bit of dissonance was associated with the process. I would use them again, but they would not be my first choice. My primary complaint was the obsession with "cracks" or "gaps" in the chimney. Of course, finding such things is what they do...but there was too much emphasis on how these should be repaired (with a fairly pricey insert-process) rather than where they were and whether they needed to be addressed at all. Since these issues were in the part of the chimney above the roof-line, there was actually no problem. I had to extract information on their location and qualifications on the issues associated with the apparent gaps or cracks. So, the lower grades are associated with this "sales job" rather than focussing on providing me with information to assess the situation. However, I want to emphasize that their approach was not aggressive; but it was annoying that I had to pick apart their statements to arrive at a neutral presentation of the information.

My chimney is not connected to any furnace or fireplace. The opening at the bottom of the stack (in the basement) was full solid. I got it clean out about two feet up and decided to make the call for a professional cleaning. I used Angie's Big Deal for Chimney Cleaning. He arrived on time. He could not "break through" through the basement opening. So he tried from the top. He could barely get to it using all of the extension rods. Still no luck on breaking through. He did let me cut a piece of foam board insulation to put under the chimney cap to seal the top of the chimney off. He did a good job of clean up. He did all that was said was supposed to be done. I am disappointed that I still have work to do to get the blockage out.

Service person was on time. Cleaned and inspected the fireplace chimney. Was told of work that needed to be done. Worker knowledgeable in his field. Was kind of surprised that I had to pay a $50 "travel fee" for this service, as I didn't ready anything about that in the deal.

We purchased the Angie's List Big Deal for this work. It was a great value! Workers arrived on time. They were careful to keep the area around the fireplace clean and did a thorough job on the chimney sweep and inspection.

Purchased the Big Deal from Angie's List online and called provided to schedule appointment. They arrived in the time frame scheduled and performed the service according to expectations. Chimney was cleaned and inspected and two cracks were identified. They offered a quote to have it repaired and the work was done on the spot.

They were very professional and answered all of my questions. All of the work was done well and effeciently and the area around the fireplace was kept clean

We initially were told by the home inspector that we needed a liner in the chimney for the hot water heater. We called Quality to get a quote and they ordered the part. When they came out and did their inspection they saw we already had a perfectly fine liner installed. They were very nice and professional and didn't charge us for the part and instead completed a thorough inspection of the water heater. We will always use them in the future!

We had purchased a big deal for the service, and it was good. They charge me more because the did installed 2 caps.

The two workers, Mike and John, arrived on time and got right to work. They inspected and cleaned our chimney and fireplace. They were done in approximately 30 minutes. This was the first time we used this company. We had used another company 3 times during the past 9 years. Although we were satisfied with the other company's service and good reviews on Angie's list, we decided to go with Quality Fireplace because they also had good reviews on Angie's list and they had a special price offer during July. From what I observed, they were just as efficient and thorough with their work as was the company we had used in the past.

when first installed, they did not put in air intake in through chimney. they said between what was in the chimney and what came through the fireplace itself would be enough. after repeated visits for it not lighting properly, they decided they needed to put in air intake. when it still wouldn't lite they said they would send a repairman from another business to repair it because they did not repair what they sold. the repairman came and said he needed to order a part. after about 5 weeks I called the other company to find out status on part. they said they were waiting on Quality for serial number on fireplace for warranty. I had to call Quality to tell them what was going on. after they faxed the serial number to the other business, about three weeks later they called to say the part was in. so from the time it was installed, until the time it was repaired was six months.

Crew showed up on time and completed the work in a single day. They were able to find a brick that nearly matched the original so new chimney doesn't look out of place. My flashing was in bad shape, but they were able to seal it back up to prevent future leaks. Crew returned several weeks later to apply sealent to bricks.

It was okay. Whoever did the work got a lot of soot inside of the house and there was some hand prints left on our wall and a door. In terms of pricing, we had it done once before by a different company and I think it was about the same.

I felt like they were over priced slighly and tried to selll on other services that were not needed.

They are okay. I would not use them again.

All went well. They were friendly and did and great job.
