Quality Fireplace & Chimney Service

Our home was originally built in the 1920's and the chimney had been painted at some point. The moisture from the painted chimney eventually caused the brick to deteriorate and the chimney was in very bad shape. We had a different contractor install a gas insert (we converted from a wood burning fireplace) and they referred us to Quality fireplace. I spoke with David Lepak in June and after discussing the scope of the project I told him we would be waiting until the fall. In late August they followed up with me and I moved forward with the project. They had their best mason, Tom, assigned to the job due to the complexity of the work. The scope of the job was more expensive than anticipated so David worked with Tom to find more cost effective material and I ended up buying stone veneer from Menard's (which saved me $3,500 because a local quarry quoted $5,000 for the stone materials) and they took care of the rest. I am an extremely particular customer and was truly amazed at the craftsmanship and professionalism with David and Tom. David stopped by to check on the progress and introduced himself and made it clear that he was available if we needed anything, which we didn't because Tom was awesome. Tom clearly takes pride in his work and was more than a mason, he was an artist and took every detail into account. The project was on schedule and turned out more beautiful than I even imagined. We have had several neighbors and passerby's slow down and admire the work. We have done some extensive remodeling to our home over the years and this was the best experience I've had with a contractor. I would definitely recommend them!

, The technician was very professional and did some things beyond those that were in the quote because they needed to be done. He came back the next morning to complete the job. Since it was mostly done on the roof, I don't know how it looks. It is summer so we are not currently using the fireplace. However, before the work was done, we would smell wet ash after a heavy rain. We have had several hard rains since the work was done, and we have not noticed any wet ash smell in our family room.

They did a good job for a good price. I was disappointed that their cleanup wasn't better, but after I called to mention it, they came out without hesitation and took care of it. I would use them again and recommend them.

It went very well and they arrived when they were supposed to. We were very pleased with the cost of the service.

It went well. I did have to supply paper bags to them. They were at the home for about 1.5 hours, and they sent 2 techs. They had a vacuum that they used to clean up any mess, as well as a tarp that they put down to contain the mess.

We had our chimney lined for our hot water heater. We were charged what we were quoted, even though they had to change materials for the job, due to our chimneys opening being small. Not to mention their quote came in at the lowest of the three quotes that we received.

The person who showed up for service was very nice and professional, he gave us good tips on general maintenance and how to use the fireplace as we have never had a fireplace before. He ensured the area around the fireplace was all covered before cleaning and everything was cleaned up after.

This company was great and professional. They were on time, very kind and easy to work with. They did an excellent job and I would hire them again. These guys seem like they love their job and is happy to do it.

Excellent service! I was given a time range to expect them to show up: 10:00AM - 12:00PM. He arrived at 10:15 - which was fantastic, as I didn't waste time waiting. He was thorough and explained what he was doing, and why he was doing it. He showed me photos he took from my roof to demonstrate what the chimney looked like, and what I should watch for in the future. He also provided tips on ways that we can proactively prevent expensive damage or repairs. Thankfully, everything looked great and we didn't have any issues. The entire process took about 75 minutes, and when he left everything was really clean - there were no signs of dust or that we had just had everything cleaned. This was our first time ever using such a service, and I will certainly use them again in the future.

Quality, service, and professional- these are three words that I would use to describe this company. They are knowledgeable about the service they provide, and focused on the task at hand.

The guys were very professional and nice. They did a decent job on the repair, it fixed my leak, however. I had a brand new roof and they didn't lay any kind of drop cloth on the new roof and no ladder on roof so they didn't have to walk all over the new roof, and the flashing was new on the chimney which they got mortar smears on and didn't wash it off. They also said they would come back in the allotted cure time to waterproof the chimney and did not show up or call, i had to call them i also had to request something in writing about the warranty. I paid them the full dollar amount and they haven't finished the job yet. So overall i'm very happy that my leak is fixed but not happy about their communication skills and the lack of respect of my new roof and flashing. There response is a lie there was no rain storm after they did the mortar and they didn't come back right away they came back 3 weeks later when they did the waterproofing and tried to clean it off and it is still dirty with either mortar or caulk. And instead of drop cloth they could have used ladders on either side of the chimney so they wouldn't have to walk on the roof.

I was satisfied for the job I expected. I was shown via camera the deteriorating chimney crown so will have that work completed by the contractor.

Our home inspector recommended a Level Two Chimney Inspection. Other chimney services business hours did not accommodate my work schedule. Quality Fireplace & Chimney Service used a video feed streaming to an ipad to view the internal components of the fireplaces--this was a useful feature to the inspection. I had two fireplaces inspected: Basement fireplace is lined with stainless steel. We were told all components are functioning properly. First floor fireplace has hole in liner and minor mortar is missing between the second and third tile from the top. The chimney inspector recommended two options filling the hole for an estimate $350 or 1) chemically clean/sweep 2) apply heat shield, resurfacing of existing liner, and refractory sealant?estimate cost $1700. We plan on repairing the issues in the first floor chimney, but we will research other company?s costs before selecting the right company.

They were out within a few days of me purchasing the deal. The service was good. They explained everything they were doing to me and worked diligently. I purchased a spray cleaner from them in additional to the deal.

It went very well. Also, the service person gave us some perspecitive about what should be done in the future to keep our fireplace working to its optimal efficiency. We would definitely recommend them for other customers.

Great crew! Responded to call right away, quote came in under other 2 estimates. Work was done within a couple of weeks as promised. Explained everything as they did it. Very nice crew. Very clean. Would definitely use them again and will recommend them as opportunities arise!

Tom was serviceman who came in, got the job done on a timely basis, with professionalism and courtesy. He was respectful of our schedule and explained what he was doing and how the job was being repaired. Great quality service. Will recommend you to anyone.

Everything went as planned. We have our fireplace cleaned every 2-3 years, since we don't use it frequently. Mike called when he was on the way and it only took him about 45 minutes to complete the work. He told us things to keep an eye on, but said that nothing was pressing at this time.We will use again in the future.

They seemed like a good company and what they told me was correct, but they were good. The interaction with the provider was fine. They work turned out pretty well, we still had some issues with the fireplace but they cleaned it out so they did a good job with that. The price seemed reasonable to me.

They showed up on time, performed the work as promised, cleaned everything up, and didn't sell me repairs that I didn't need.
