 + -1 moreThey put up with a lot of.. well.. it was the job from ****, and they did not back down from the challenge, and really surprised us with the end results! We couldn't be happier! We plan on adding to their workload very soon!
Description of Work: They removed our burned range hood (small kitchen fire).. which was greasy, grimey, GROSS.. found issues with the wiring for the hood, fixed all issues, retrofitted the situation, installed the new range hood.. and during all of this.. they lifted my spirits, and made me laugh at the disgusting situation! THEY ROCK!

 + -1 moreCream City was hard to connect with (I reviewed the problem) but I am so glad I persisted. Mike did an amazing job and transformed the old messy but ultra-comfortable tub into something that looks like new. He also took care to cover a good part of my bathroom so the spray would not ruin anything. Best of all, the tub is ready to use after only two days. I was hoping to post pictures but the before shot did not come out. Let's just say the tub looks brand new. Now could someone just do that with me?
Description of Work: My bathtub had some worn spots around the drain with the black metal base showing through, and after years of use (I estimate 50+) it was in serious need of some work.

 + -1 moreAs soon as I figure out how, I am asking Angie's List for a refund. I purchased the bath refinishing special because it is exactly what I need. I was contacted punctually by the owner of the company on 4/14, but said I needed to call him back on Monday the 17th. Apparently, I was not supposed to put him off. I called him and called him and called him and he has ignored me for weeks. So, heck with it! I would love to have this done but I am so frustrated. Purchase this at your own risk.

 + -1 moreI called Cream City to let them know the condition of my tub. I knew it would not be a simple refinish which was $299.They quoted me $565 which I thought was more than reasonable.The serviceman was prompt on the date and time both days.He did an excellent job of covering things that couldn't be removed. I had very little cleanup from spray dust. The tub looks like brand new. The serviceman had to work under terrible conditions due to a small bathroom and no ventilation with strong odors from the chemicals he had to use(he kept the door closed) He informed me of the whole process and what he was using and the odor. The odor although strong the first day subsided in a couple of days.Even though it was only low 40s outside I opened windows for a while until it got too cold in the house then I would alternate between heat and windows. I only had to do this the first day.A small price for a beautiful tub.
Description of Work: Our bathtub was in terrible condition. The tubs enamel was worn down to bare metal in some spots and badly pitted. It needed to be resurfaced and the bare metal and the pitting had to be addressed.

 + -1 moreI called couple of months early because I knew we were gutting a bathroom , had an antique fixture , Pedestal sink we wanted reglazed , caught him working, said he would call back. Didn't . I called about one month later , and made an appointment for him to pick-up my sink. Didn't show , I finally got a call that he was sick and would get back to me. Never did , I call his number again after a week and left a message asking if he was planning to come by any time soon to pick-up my sink. Never got a call back so I moved on.

 + -1 moreIt looks fantastic and brand new. John was great to work with and communicated very well with us. The odor was strong but he did warn us of that beforehand. He also explained how to care for the tub so as not to scratch it and/or void the warranty. I would highly recommend!

 + -1 moreWorse experience from start to not finish. My comments are fact based and my feelings extreme frustration over long wait for service I never got but prepaid for) are mine. Cream City may try to rebuke because I am being so transparent but it doesn't matter. It's done. I'm done with them and don't recommend!
Description of Work: Needed bath tub reglazed and contacted them in January. Was told I had to prepay for the service which I've never done but did. Wrote them for appointment and after three days no response, I called. Scheduler was rude and told me I could go elsewhere if I didn't want to wait a minimum of 3 weeks to get it. I called the owner and he apologized though made excuses for her behavior. He booked the appointment but said scheduler had been wrong. That they didn't gave an availability 3 weeks out but he said he'd make it work. At that time he told me there could be no leaks with faucet and I said I didn't have any. The night before appointment I received a long email detailing that the tub couldn't have soap scum,mold or again, leaky faucet and I needed to have the floor clear. I did all of that only to have my dad call (he came over to be there for me during the reglazing) and tell me they didn't do it because I have a half tile that is loose! First, I do not and later had a plumber verify. Second, NO where ever verbally or in their emailed directions do they ever mention loose tiles are a problem (again, I don't even have a loose tile) and that it would be a deal breaker. If so why wouldn't you tell people first? Why wouldn't you do as your competitors do and come first to inspect the tub before agreeing to a service that you took my money for but didn't do?? In the end I found a better contractor who not only agreed there was no issue (that makes two professionals who disagree with cream city) but provide a 5 year warranty. I don't think they'd do the work and offer a warranty if they thought there was a loose tile. In the end, there's no excuse for rudeness. I don't think it's reasonable to wait over a month to get a service completed that you mandate prepayment. Not including all specs required before performing or in this case, not performing a service is either sloppy or dishonest. You decide. As for me, I will never prepay for a service from a new contractor (Angie's list is refunding my money) and I'll never call Cream City Tub again.

 + -1 moreJob required counters to be cleared, masked and appliances to be moved, first appointment was delayed so everything had to stay as is until they could reschedule. Once they arrived the color coat was completed quickly the first day, they returned the following day to add the semi-gloss finish. Cleanup was good and instructions on care were adequate. A few days later we noticed small holes revealing white countertop. Called contractor and described problem. He arranged another visit and filled the holes with new epoxy. The patches with the new epoxy have a slightly different sheen and can be felt when running your fingers over the patch. He provided additional instructions on how to care for the surface treatment if any holes re-appeared. We are very happy with the transformation the surface treatment has done for our kitchen, a little concerned with longevity and resilience. NOTE: The contractor mentioned that a repeat visit was not covered in the contract, we are extremely happy they made an exception. I give them high marks for professionalism.
